Every time I turned on my not approved department radio to 018 district zone it was mayhem. If this is any indication of what the summer will hold we got big problems.
Some poor woman was stopped at a light and had 40 savages completely surround her car and begin to rock it back and forth from each side in an attempt to tip it. When then didn't work, at least one of them ended up on her car and began stomping on it. Obviously there is damage to her car, and I'd be willing to bet she won't be returning to chivaho anytime soon.
It wasn't just jumping on cars. There were assaults and batteries as well. Believe it or not some who witnessed this blamed the society which made them act like savages. I say let the savages run wild until these libtards get the idea. Only then can we influence judges and politicians. Wonder if the media will air this carnage.

I listened saturday night at around 7pm
to the scanner and heard police officers tell of packs of 40, 50, 100 and even 200 individuals causing trouble at north avenue and oak street beach areas.
Fighting, running across the outer drive, throwing bottles at the oak street underpass,and pushing people.
I have not heard of any comments by the mayor, the newspapers, or tv news on their websites.
There were even packs of teens at state and lake near the ch 7 tv station
They probably could have just looked outside and seen them.
The residents and businesses there must
like this kind of behavior because they dont seem to complain.
So I guess it is not news.
Stay safe out there officers.

I decided to take my son on an architectural tour last night. Perfect weather for it. We got on at Wacker and Michigan. Took the train so we wouldn't get raped on parking. A guy was overdosing at Merchandise Mart, bad for any kid to see. When we left the tour, my son wanted popcorn, so we walked Michigan Ave. I was surrounded in people of various languages, all on their I-phones, oblivious of the beast. We (the police) were way out manned last night, compared to the 14-18 year old wildings (guess the demographic). I asked a few cops along the way about it, they just giggled. We had to exfil in a cab it was getting so bad. I counted 6 cops from Michigan and Wacker to the Hancock. I couldn't believe how bad it's gotten.
I think that this is part of the change we were promised nearly seven years ago?
While on vacation in Florida, I met a couple who told me how much they enjoyed visiting the lakefront and the mag mile in Chicago a few years back. Obviously, the hit a lucky streak.

I have lived 2 blocks from the lakefront beach (Fullerton- North Avenue/Castaways). I've seen this ghetto trash there for the past 3 summers wreaking havoc. The summer before last I was personally harassed by threatening gestures/posture and verbally harassed by them four times as I walked the bike path along the beach. And I'm a 61 year old grandmother.
I'm moving out of state this week. One of the reasons I'm moving from my beautiful Lincoln Park MidNorth Historic District is these animals not only take over the beach and completely ruin our summer enjoyment of it. They also overrun Clark St. They're unpredictable and use threatening body language towards us as if WE are the bad guys. I once had 3 men in a large family of them spread their arms out and give me bullying looks, in front of the Best Buy, and use threatening posture to block me from passing them as I walked on the sidewalk. I passed them anyway but it was very scary! They won't even let you use the sidewalks on Clark St.!!
3 gang-bangers were killed at the entrance to Lincoln Park Zoo but the media hushed the coverage of that incident.
The police here do the best they can. The 18th is great. But it's obvious by what happened yesterday, as I listened to the non-stop sirens most of the day, that McCarthy and Emanuel are doing a LOUSY job of protecting honest and law-abiding citizens.
We're also plagued with crime here in Lincoln Park. I call it a high-crime area and I get double-takes. It is. It just isn't labeled so. The media would never do that. But many of the building that surround mine have been broken into. Bikes are stolen at a steady rate. People who live here get mugged at a steady rate.

I'm not sure which hotel you were hiding in, but I can assure you there was a gun that was pulled off the beach, multiple foot chases, a few robberies that I know of, and multiple windshields that were destroyed. Add that to the normal packs of kids that we're pushing and punching everyone walking down the street. Maybe you considered this normal, but your head out of your ass and either come help the rest of us get this shit under control, or stop working your day off. You are so cool and so tough. So you work a detail and know everything that happened in the downtown area huh? That's how it all starts. They stay jumping on cars. The crowd gets larger. their become more violent and senseless. No big deal? I'm glad there were hundred cars. That's what we are here for. To back each other up and to screw the management. Talking with a mid-thirties attorney who lives near Division/State, I tell him how bad it's getting on Michigan Avenue. He laughs and says it's not happening. He lives five minutes from where it's 'not happening' and he's in denial. Had a real Grand Plan for dealing with the usual riffraff on July 03rd...no arrest teams, no under covers to snatch the agitators out of the crowd before the fireworks began, as used to be the case...no processing teams. As the night wore on and the bangers outnumbered us, some shots rang out, and a man was killed near where I was posted. We had so few officers assigned to the Taste that year that most of the people guarding the crime scene were exempts. Keating got on the air shortly after the shooting occurred to inform everyone over the radio that this homicide 'didn't occur at the Taste.' What a guy, that Keating.

Yes, good luck to you. You might leave the city and the state, but you are forever tied to the pension fund for survival and it looks like the pension fund is breathing its last gasps. Maybe 6-8 years before insolvency.Then it will be a pay as you go, that is pay out only what they take in. Then you can expect about 40% of what you should be getting.
At this point, I am not sure that anything can be done to curb the violence and anti-social behavior of African-American youth. Not just in this town, but across the nation. The family structure is just not there and the courts do not want to come down on them for fear of being labeled racist. Preckwinkle said it best when she complained that too many black youths are in jail and the criminal justice system is racist. That seems to be the prevailing thoughts around the country. When people in Illinois tried to pass strict gun laws for possession they were defeated because the racial impact would be too severe on blacks. And, the cops are not allowed to do much for fear of losing their jobs after being caught in a camera snippet. I just think things have gone too far in the wrong direction.
Growing up in a hood in 80's/90's every idiot knew that if they got picked up for b.s. on a weekend - they were getting locked up for the entire weekend! Let's bring that back! Start locking their asses up for the entire weekends. After a few weekends, they'll want to avoid downtown. I swear if this ever happens to me, if I'm ever surrounded by 40 jerks and they start rocking my truck... I'm driving over them. For the safety of my family and myself, I had to drive over them ← that will be my official statement!

Unfortunately I agree with you. I've always said that if you get surrounded by thirty savages and genuinely are and should be fearful for your life, that if you light one up, you'll be standing there alone with one unarmed ghetto yute on the ground and you will have the gun in your hand. Then the savages will slowly return and become witnesses for the creature that you just sent to his maker.
Bear spray (UDAP) is definitely the way to go; check out the web for it. It can shoot far and do a lot of damage to a crowd. Probably more effective than a firearm for crowd control.
