A Constitutional Scholar?
- President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the “disadvantage” of having each state represented equally in the Senate.
At a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night, Mr. Obama told a small group of wealthy supporters that there are several hurdles to keeping Democrats in control of the Senate and recapturing the House. One of those problems, he said, is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.
“Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.
No, that puts government at a disadvantage, which was the Founding Fathers intent. They had just finished a war against a despot. But Obama can only see the disadvantage it puts him at.

The constitution was created not because it believed in the inherent goodness of men, but the exact opposite. And quite frankly, if it wasn't for the 17th Amendment, there wouldn't be as many Democratic senators as there is now.
I don't know what sort of stuff they teach at Harvard Law School, but I'm not impressed by 99% of their graduates in public service.

Obama hates it that he can't make everyone in "flyover country" (the dakotas, Montana, Wyoming etc.) conform to his disgusting bullshit agenda, so he has to attack one of the sane aspects of our government, checks and balances. This is to serve as a protection against tyranny. Obama hates this, because he is a tyrant.
I used to think Obama was an idiot, but that he meant well. I used to think he wanted the best for the country, but that his ideas were wrong. I normally vote for third party candidates, but in this election coming up, I'm voting straight republican....and that's not because I like the republicans. Not only didn't Obama 'teach' law -- constitutional or otherwise -- while at the U. of C., he isn't a 'Constitutional Scholar' either (I doubt the moron knows what an 'Ex post facto' law fucking is!). That's another of the Axelrod/Jarret whoppers. Obama's title was 'Visiting Law Lecturer'. That was a Part-Time Job, and meant from day one of his time there to be part time as it was 'stipulated' (another law term Obama prolly doesn't know (/s), that he'd be going into politics and running for office while at the university, so all he'd have time for was the occasional lecture on law.
This was all laid out in an article a couple years ago by Professor John Lott (author; More Guns, Less Crime) who was at the U. of C. while Obama was there. They weren't friends but Lott talked to Obama more than a few times. Obama didn't hide his disdain for the U.S. Constitution even then. SEARCH for the article, you'll find it.
Also, remember Obama's outrageous claim that our constitution was 'A charter of Negative Liberties' because it put constraints on the Federal Government?...no?...no problem. The framers struggled with this issue (same number versus number based on population) and that is precisely WHY they decided to have TWO legislative branches, and not one.

There actually are books written by retired supreme court justices calling for changes in the constitution, namely the bill of rights, saying it is outmoded for modern times. Of course, you know their number one target is the 2nd amendment. No mention of the 4th or 5th or even the 1st amendments although the argument can be made that those amendments contribute to crime much more then the 2nd. You read crap like this coming out of a liberals mouth and you can't blame the "preppers" for hoarding weapons and food waiting for mass civil unrest.
