Bodies Keep Piling Up

  • Two people were killed and at least 21 others have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday evening.

The most recent fatal shooting happened early Saturday in a Chicago Lawn neighborhood apartment on the Southwest Side, where a 50-year-old woman was seriously injured and her son was killed in a domestic-related incident, police said.
Well, now that Garry has gotten that number out of the way, off to tell everyone that "crime is down" and pop a few cold ones.

You have all these towns and villages surrounding Chicago, yet it is Chicago that seems to have a gun problem. Hmmmm, if guns were a problem in Illinois one would think that there would be a gun problem throughout the state and not just in Chicago.

Were any of those killed or wounded productive, contributing members of what's left of society?

Are any of the shootings being attributed to persons with concealed carry licenses?

Does anyone really give two shits that nature once again took its course and 'thinned the herd' a wee bit more?

The only depressing aspect about these numbers is that they're not high enough in the "permanently removed" column.

Don't worry, jessie senior has a plan. He wants the Feds to create panels, commissions, and I'm sure, give his ilk money. All to stop the violence, create jobs, and basicly to do the job that parents in his community should be doing.

Off Topic but Important:

Speaking about bad headlines or rather no headlines all why have we heard hardly anything from the news media about this Obama sponsored Mexican invasion.

If some citizen were to find a school building full of these "unescorted minors" and dropped a dime to Chuck Gaudie would he show up with a camera crew?

Once these kids are dispersed it will be like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube.

Have it on good authority that Sheriff Dart is his authority as the lead law enforcement officer of Cook County to send in dozens of sheriff's officers to problem areas of the city despite Rahm and McDufus saying no thanks. Talk about a bitch slap, I love it and the help is sorely needed

Oh, guns are no problem at all once you cross the Cook County line and re-enter the United States.

You should hear the "inner city" crowd on a bus trip downstate. "Man. All these houses just sittin there on the flo'. ANYone go in there and do what they want."

They have absolutely no idea...

Good thing for them that they're safely chained down on that bus...

Alittle inside info. Tom Dart the wonder boy has a plan. He called the Mayor and Police Supt. But they told him they didn't need help. Tommy didn't like that answer. And told them that the city is in the county and that he was going to protect it at all cost. So starting the middle of the week Tom dart will deploy 250 cook county police to the entitlement Community with in city limits. I'm sure he will be on the news talking about saving the day.

It's not the entire City. Basically the south and southeast sides of the City. Guns obviously in the hands of the wrong people obviously are a problem...
Shootings are on the rise in the suburbs, too.

Here we go again! These guys have nothing else to do but this shit over and over and over. Generating money for the lawyers

Pat Quinn touts Illinois Public Safety Act

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is once again calling for legislation that would ban the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

Quinn is specifically pushing for the passage of the Illinois Public Safety Act.

Under that proposed act, holders of Firearms Owners Identification Cards who now own assault weapons would be able to keep them, but they wouldn't be able to transfer or sell them, except to family members.

Quinn says war is "being waged on our streets," and he says it's a war fueled in part by the availability of military-style assault weapons.

Chicago Mayor Emanuel Slammed by Illinois National Action Network

Rev. Gregory Seal Livingston wants the mayor do more to counter social problems in the city.

In a stinging rebuke to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the National Action Network’s Illinois Chairman has criticized the mayor of raising millions in campaign contributions saying he should instead raise money to keep schools open and to provide resources for community programs.

The Rev. Gregory Seal Livingston was pointed in his remarks. “If Rahm can raise money for his campaign, he can raise money to replace resources that have been ripped from disadvantaged and challenged communities where senseless violence erupted once again this weekend.”

Livingston added: “School closings and union busting are just a few of the grave issues that affect this nature of violence.”..

===============================
Good point.

Rahm and Obama are the masters at fund raising. Let 'em raise the money for the unaccompanied illegal immigrants and the $3.8 bil. Obama wants for border patrol too.

And for the pension shortfalls.

Hey, Obama and Rahm better get that $3.8 billion that Obama wants for the illegal immigrant border problem flowing to Chicago pronto -- so that it can be channeled to these reverends under various "for the unaccompanied children" programs.

Settle that shit down right now I'll tell you what.

Meanwhile, Quinn obviously sees the writing on the wall and so his office is pulling out the old tried and true gun ban proposals AGAIN.

This time it's for assault weapons and high cap mags.

Yeah, that always wins over the black voters, right?

I don't think so. Not this time.

How soon they forget that Al Shapton got rode out of town at his last Chicago town hall meeting when that same ol' shit was talked up..

And another one bits the dust as Illinois follows the path of bankrupt Detroit...

Custom manufacturing company Plainfield Precision, based in Plymouth, Mass., has closed its Illinois injection molding facility.

The 96,000-square-foot Plainfield, Ill., location supplied injection molded products for the automotive, industrial, electronics and appliance industries, according to the company’s website. Its 30 Arburg injection molding machines, ranging from 28 to 242 tons of clamping force, are listed along with other equipment for a July 16 public auction.

Plainfield lists six facilities on its website, including the Illinois plant. Other facilities are located in Massachusetts, California, Wisconsin, Dominican Republic and Mexico.

The company reported North American injection molding sales of $40 million and total corporate sales of $50 million in 2012, the latest data available, according to Plastics News records.

Almost makes me want to bid to 019:

Best Suspect Description Of The Week (Candidate #1)
Wanted for the theft of a white Toyota RAV 4 at 4:38PM Thursday in the 1100 block of Fullerton: A black man in his 20's, 6'1" tall, very skinny, wearing a purple shower cap, pink lipstick, peach-colored pants, and a brown handbag.

Best Suspect Description Of The Week (Candidate #2)
Wednesday, 6:04AM — In the 4200 block of Kenmore, a white man who was involved in a fight earlier has returned and won't stop ringing the doorbell. He has black hair. He's bleeding from the head. He's wearing Bart Simpson underwear.

…Update, 6:06AM — Now he's naked, lying on the hood of a car, still bleeding from the head, and he's masturbating.

First World Problems
Saturday, 2:41AM - Jacob just walked into his apartment in the 3300 block of Clark. He needs the police because he says he found a naked girl in his bed. He doesn't know her and she won't leave.

(From a civilian blog that's not always CPD friendly, but somewhat amusing when you work in 007.)

And Ald Moore witnessed it and claims to have helped clean up the blood. Another sad case of an innocent bystander getting killed. Too bad it wasn't close to Obama's house so it would get international attention.

Tribune
Wil Lewis and his wife had lived in Chicago for about a year and had moved about two weeks ago to a home on Greenview Avenue in Rogers Park, a neighborhood they considered "safe enough," his family said.

The 28-year-old from Wisconsin, a photographer by trade, was scheduled to start a new job Monday, a prospect he was "very excited" about, family said.

But, about 3:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon, that all changed. Lewis was on a North Side street when a man walked up to him and started firing shots, police said. Lewis was hit in the back and died within an hour at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, he died of a gunshot wound to the back.

Gerry hangs with an outfit guy every night drinking it up and eating like a king.

For all you old timers, remember the 018 and Cmdr. Clarance Brash in the early 1970'. There was a club that all the bars had to join and there were weekly dues.
Gerry and his pal Ricky S make a fine pair.

Gerry is too soft to see the big picture of him wishing he never left Jersey city.

The old guys from the bureau remember good old Clarence and him goig away for awhile and then getting a high paying job at McCormick place. History to repeat ?

Crooka are like locust, that come back after years past.

North Side will remember the 70' and Clarance and is laughing just hearing about the old days.

Just watched TV and saw Rep. Dunkin saying that McCarthy should be fired.

Wow - now people are starting to come right out and point out the incompetence. That is a good thing.

Same goes with Rahm - losing some poll numbers and Karen Lewis looking like she might be the next Mayor.

Get rid of incompetent people and maybe the next guy figures out that he or she has to perform and get the job done.

While we're talking about "replacements", Pat Quinn has to go as well.

His spending $55 Million on an "Anti-Crime Initiative" was a complete failure - except to get him re-elected.

Vote Rauner in - if he turns out to be no good, vote the next guy in.

The trouble in Illinois is that once someone gets in, everybody thinks it's a job for life - it isn't.
