Good Riddance
- Bruce Wright was shot to death while riding a bicycle in the Humboldt Park neighborhood late Tuesday.
Wright, 23, was riding the bike in the 900 block of North Hamlin Avenue when a van pulled up and someone inside opened fire about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
One of the bullets struck Wright, of the 0-100 block of North Hamlin Avenue, in the head and died at the scene, authorities said.
An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He died of multiple gunshot wounds? We aren't sure how they could tell which ones killed him, seeing as how this guy had been shot not once, but two previous times in the past month.
You read that correctly - Bruce was shot twice this summer already and it looks like the third time was the charm. How are the police supposed to prevent anything like that, no matter where you work in the city? Bruce put himself in these situation again and again (he was a ranking gang member) and nothing police did, from traffic missions to house visits to contact cards was ever going to stop this killing from happening.
Some people are just doomed to a bad end.

Poor guy must have really been unpopular. I think after the first time of being shot, and for sure the second time, I would have put Chicago far behind me and moved to a friendlier climate. He must not have been real bright.

Hey, wild west outlaws were able to shoot while riding a horse--this mutt couldn't shoot back while riding a bike?
Robbery patterns in 11 have more to do with dope boys robbing/shooting each other than random robberies...just sayin'.
Solution is to teach them to be better shots. Save the taxpayers money.

This seems to be a regular summer occurrence. Hospital keeps bringing them back to life after the ambo keeps them stabilized on the ride there. Body just can't seem to take third set of extra holes. Just be glad these assholes can't shoot to the head or have to be close to get their targets. Practice your skills officers. The days of hardly running across a fellow officer involved in a shooting are becoming slimmer. Go home safely to your loved ones.

the Bruce Wright homicide will be reclassed as a "Death Investigation." As the ME can not determine the EXACT cause of death (Was it bullet from shooting #1 or shooting #2 or #3?) So the exact cause of death is "UNDETERMINED".

Weekly actually wasn't shot last month. He did a home invasion on his ex-girlfriend, who stabbed him in the arm. In that home invasion, he stole her purse, which contained a Glock 19, the same make of weapon found in his waistband. This happened in 025. Then, his mother was the victim of some sort of crime, where she was threatened...the offenders were looking for the gun. She never reported it. Which brings us to present day...

You don't get it do you. Hey 011th district officers you have to be within the matrix , the one designed by the smartest person on the dept. Capt. Lemmer. He will redesign the police wheel. It's his way or the highway or the "bid out" way. He did it in 023 and he will do it in 011. You see nobody wants him as their XO so they send him to 011. He's all yours, so get on board or get out....missions all day, top ten lists, assigned lunches, preassigned cars for missions and times as well so when it's busy all these cars go down on missions. Don't forget his own made up forms. He wanted his sgt.s to sign off on his own made up CPD forms, making it an official document. He even went so far as to put a revised date and form number in the lower left corner just like official dept. Forms. He's out of his mind.....
