No Homicides Yet? (UPDATES)

We've been keeping an ear out. Bunch of shootings, but no killings, and the temperature is headed down over the next few days.

What's the longest a year has run until the first? We recall one running nearly two weeks a decade or more ago.

UPDATE: There's the first:
  • A 39-year-old man died Saturday morning after being shot on the West Side in what was apparently Chicago’s first shooting homicide of 2015, police said.
015.

UPDATE: Here come the arguments - supposedly 011 had one shot in 2014 that died 03 January 2015 prior to the 015 homicide. We don't think that a HX RD number counts in a HY year, but we might be mistaken.

UPDATE: Supposedly, the deceased lived on the 4600 block of Adams, he got shot in 015, he drove himself to West Suburban in Oak Park, he died in 012.

Someone made a valid point the other day. Homan Square is home to hundreds of gang and narcotic officers. Homan Square is located in 011. 011 has the most gang homicides and narcotics activity in the city. All within walking distance of our departments chosen best and brightest crime fighters. Time to open those shades on the windows and do some foot patrol for all those undercover plainclothes police. Maybe someone can see how many gang/narcotic crimes occurred within 1000 feet of the square. Or even a mile radius. Peek out the window and see the light (and the crime for that matter). Take off the blinders while you drive to the fortified warehouse. Investigations only, not lowly patrol division enforcement, we are told. Are narcotics sentences enhanced if it occurs within 1000 feet of a narcotic's bureau headquarters just like a school, church or park?

where ever the clear system web mapping link puts the body as killed then thats where it happened period. Thats the locaiton the dics put in as location of the murder. So all the arguments of he lived here, went to school here, auntie lived here etc dont matter. Go the the clear system, then to web mapping and click on homicides. it will put the homicides in order of when it happened and where. If you didnt have 015 as the first homicide then you lost. and no, if a person was shot in 2014 and lived till 2015 it counts as a murder of 2014.. the HX rd number is from 2014 and it goes against the 2014 homicide total. None of this matters to me, I was dealt 002 in the ghoul pool... 015 is officially the winner. also, a DUI hit and run reckless homicide does not count either. It happens every single year on new years day. A person died as the result of a reckless homicide ie dui crash/hit and run crash involving a death.. does not and has never counted for the ghoul pool.

So true and the star who called in a flat tire should be ashame. Were is team at, yes a duck 4 hours before.
More people assigned there then the whole area of districts North.
When was the last time they brought any weight in ? Never, unless the feds gave it to them on a silver plater. At the old narcoitcs section on Normal, weight came in every day of the week. Copper' there worked like mules. We were lucky to have 70 bosies there. Al Wysinger was a star back then and worked his ass off. We were real police with an attitude to get get shit off the streets in big numbers.
You good people in patrol get more weight in on a slow day in 010 then the rntire naroitc units brings in a week.
When Eamsey ran the C/)' b.s arrests happened and only on a need to do bases. Weight ruled the unit.
I seen the new narcotic guys walk around there with an attitude that is short of amazing.
You guys in Patrol are the class acts of this department and make the CPD great.
