- Happy New Year ! IPRA Supervisor George Roberts arrested for DUI on 01Jan15 and then shit his pants in the station. Roberts recently got off suspension for sexual harrassment. But its ok, he only investigates the police.
Anyone think this guy won't have a chip on his shoulder from here on out?

My IPRA investigator was convicted of impersonating the police. I was waiting for him to rule sustained CR, then I was going to sue and tell the media. But it came back exonerated so I didn't do anything. Yep, he still works there.
A CHIP on his shoulder from now on??? If true, and being 'held to a higher standard' and all that, shouldn't he be FIRED?

Called me in on a real bogus investigation, tried to jam up a supervisor, went on a fishing expedition, tried to use me. Even when I wasn't named, I took counsel. Was warned that they van flip on uou and the witness becomes the accused.

Funny how cops kiss IPRA investigator ass when they're being interviewed in a CR investigation, and quick to slam them over a mistake that happens all too often with sworn members (DUI). IPRA investigators are quick to say they aren't police, that they "police the police" or are "above the police."

I know IPRA is viewed as the enemy. They investigate with bias and fuck good hard working coppers over on a routine basis, but not all of them are horseshit. Some are decent. Remember this is only a dui, something a few of our boys have gotten themselves into in the past and will probably again in the near future. I don't know about this guy's past but this was a new years eve dui and dude shit his pants in custody. Probably not out of fear but out of alcohol fueled incontinence. There are a few retired coppers who work at IPRA and you know we get a fair shake from them so don't keep saying he should be fired because he got a dui and should be held to a higher standard etc., because we are viewed with the same slanted opinions. If he's a POS then he'll jam himself again and probably again after that so don't call for a beheading for a mistake that is sometimes made by good people. Bottom line here.... An investigations supervisor at IPRA jammed himself up on new year's eve with a dui. If he has a dirty history and is showing a pattern of shity conduct then let the wrath of his actions condemn and crucify him.

A Capt tired once, in 025, after one of his officers got a CR for "improper search", which stated right in the CR that the search was after the offender was placed into custody.

Regardless of the individual's position, he deserves due process. I request all POs think about this concept before giving judgement. Is OPS the enemy - sometimes. Is OPS the friend - sometimes. I have had numerous cases for which I have been called to OPS/IPRA. Overall, I have been given a fair shake by them. We all know if a case hits the media, it brings nothing but problems. Let calmer heads prevail, and put an end to this!!! - Signed a PO with 20 years.

The skateboarder was doing a dangerous thing, endangering himself and other citizens. He had absolutely no common sense. That was my point. I am not an old man. I think skateboarding at 30 years old in rush hour traffic, shows bad judgement. That is why there was a law against it. I don't like someone with bad judgement reviewing me. Some of you, especially you retired fucks, have to get your head on straight. You know nothing about this guy. From what I've learned, he happens to be a good guy. Every single one of us in uniform have fucked up in one way or another - and more than once during our tenure. I've dealt with OPS/IPRA investigators that know bullshit from bullshit. Sustained cases get reviewed by many sworn ranks before being administered. The percentage of sustained findings are hilariously small, so IPRA is really more an ally than an enemy. I'm tired of hearing from retirees who spent thirty years on the job drinking "special" coffee from their thermos bottles and taking naps on the job who are now trying to hang someone for having an extra drink on NYE. You know who you are you fuckers.
