Concealed Carrier Stops Crime
- A man with a concealed-carry license used his gun to stop two men trying to rob him and a companion in Englewood late Thursday, police said.
At 10:05 p.m., a 24-year-old man was with a woman in the 7400 block of South Morgan Street in Englewood when they were approached by two men who said they were robbing them and had a gun, said [...], a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man being robbed, who has concealed-carry license, drew his gun and shot one of the men in his chest....
The would-be victim was shot in his leg....
We're pretty sure that the offender did not have an FOID card, nor a Concealed Carry license, because Garry would have been on the news announcing it if it had happened that way.
A speedy recovery wished to the citizen.

OMG! Thanks to Concealed Carry, Murder is out of Control.
It is Dodge City!
Blood in the Streets!
Wild West Gunfights!
Road Rage Massacres!
They are shooting up the City!
We need to get those crazy homicidal concealed carry licensees off the streets. How much more blood and death will it take?!?!?
Need to teach him how to double-tap, and how to engage multiple targets.
"The man being robbed, who has concealed-carry license,"
OMG! A Black Man with a legal gun! In Chicago!
I thought the Jim Crow Democrat Party took care of that for all their racist Chi-town buddies? Didn't they keep legal handguns out of Chicago for about 50 years? The handgun ban sure as hell wasn't about stopping the murder and mayhem for the last 50 years. But it kept the guns out of hands of "those people" if they were law-abiding.
I want a f__ing answer --
Out of the millions in this city, HOW MANY DECENT PEOPLE ACTUALLY TURNED THEMSELVES INSIDE OUT, PANTING AND WORRYING AND RUNNING ALL OVER THE PLACE, TO REGISTER THEIR FIREARMS?
Only figure I ever heard was 6,500.
If we can't get a straightforward, concise, honest answer from the city, it's time for someone like a Ben Joravsky to go after this. The story could easily fill a Reader front-page/feature space.
I don't think I am going to shut up about this.
Why didn't you arrest that mad-dog killer?
Anyone that carries a gun just wants to kill people!
That poor, innocent child gunned down before he reached adulthood.
He should just call the cops instead.

Technically, no... I think. The man was shot in the leg so he still was a victim of a crime.. Correct?
It is rumored the man's name is Paul Kersey, an architect from NYC.
It would be nice to hear this story repeated week in, and week out. With a large number of criminals being slabbed instead of hospitalized.
This was a great story!!! ---Except for the part where the good citizen also gets shot.
Funny the CCW holder seems to have been the better shot as well.
what charges are coming for the victim turned victimizer ?
He did not "Stop the Crime", he stopped from becoming a victim and having his stuff taken. Attempts count the same as actual for reporting purposes. So would still be classified "Robbery Attempt". Counts as one Robbery either way.
When Conceal Carry advocates tout it will lower crime, that is not true as the crime occurred. It sure as hell will stop him from Robbing anyone again. Well at least until he is out on bond!
Hey McTool, this proves that concealed carry guys and gals have enough training! 16 hours taught him to hit the offender in center mass.
Now was the concealed carrier a white guy? Probably not. The media would flip out on it if it was.
Was either gun registered? Nobody knows right?....wtf.(unscrews flask)
But was it registered?
Almost like talking about a car jacking and saying the car had no front plate!
Good job. I hope the victim recovers quickly.
I think he violated the rules of concealed carry.
I would not wish for anyone to be robbed at gunpoint ( Iwas when I was 19 and it not a nice experience), but I do wish for more concealed carriers to shoot their offenders.
Good for him, I hope he recovers soon. I'm quite frankly a little surprised we haven't heard about more DGU's.
Bravo! Great Job! Finally good people are tired of the violence with the crooked county system and Toni letting the "black and brown" criminals put we need more feel great stories like this!
Gee I didn't hear McNumbnuts talking about this incident.
Remember when the old NRA magazine would publish articles similar to this? Believe it was called "the armed citizen."
SCC - if any of our readers come accross these stories would you be able to print them? Please also ascertain if the weapon was registered and if Fr Faker plans to sue the gun store which sold the firearm to the good citizen!
We need more brave souls like that great job now let's hope states attorney doesn't do anything to harm the hero!

And while you're looking for an answer, try this on for size.
Compelled Gun Registration applies ONLY to Chicago Police Officers.
Right?
Gotta know where those Police guns are when the social
contract is finally shredded for good.
Right?
ONLY 6500 Gun Registrations?
And one would figure the majority of these
are Police Officer weapons?
Soooo?
CPD has 12000 Officers according to Rahm al-Ghoul
and McGoofy.
...Or not?
Sarcasm and silliness eh?
This kid was just let off the hook by a libtard judge in Juvy court the same day for a pistol. Good job your honor and good job Chalky!
SCC- Dig into this story, 5 days prior to this incident 007 locked this a-hole up for UUW with a 30 round clip(yes 30) , judge found they had no PC, he was just released that day to try to pull off armed robbery which was another Craigslist gone wrong, or in this case gone right

Also reports on other gun related news.
The mayor doesn't want to stop gun crime. If he did, he would blow his tutu and kick judges butt when they let offenders off.
CCW holders make for very good citizens. They are good, decent, law-abiding, hard working, tax paying individuals. We know that because they jump every hoop and pass all the checks embedded in the law to get their permits. God bless this CCW permit holder and thanks given for him not becoming another statistic.

Lol!
Blow his tutu?
On any given day his tutu spins at such velocity, it forms a glowing
ring around his narrow, shitty ass like Saturn.
