It's Happening Everywhere

  • Police said Ortiz was working at Brudder’s Bar & Grill at 3600 N. Pulaski Road when someone outside fired shots around 11:45 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:39 p.m. the next day, police said.
Oak Lawn? From Irving and Pulaski? No wonder he died.

Google says there's a Masonic Lodge in Oak Lawn. Crack reporting.

Masonic is on the north side . Christ Advocate is on south side. News media can't even figure that out and get it right. WOW

More bad reporting as to the location of the hospital. The media in this city is beyond incompetent.

They must've just copied and pasted their hospitals. Christ in Oak Lawn gets a lot of business, but this guy went to Masonic. Probably a non-Chicagoan writing the story.

SCC, those fabulous reporters and editors made an error. Advocate Illinois Masonic isn't in Oak Lawn - it's on the north side.

It isn't happening in normal states with normal people.

Only in places like Chitcago.

He probably couldn't be saved anyhow due to the severity of his head wound, but Jesus...all the way from Albany Park to Oak Lawn? That's insane!

More Cracker Jack reporting from the new breed of journalists who have no familiarity with north, south, east, west, how the City is laid out, where anything is or how to spell the names of the streets because they never get up from their desks. They Google everything.

Brudders is a shithole. The clientele looks like a prison reunion party every weekend night. An unholy mix of white trash, latin gang bangers, and ugly pierced and tattoed fat chix. It's really fuckin' scummy.

I've heard it called Illinois Moronic Hospital.

This is happening more frequently in cities with progressive leadership and a mobile minority/welfare population. New Section 8 housing expansion into the affluent areas help.

They mixed up the 2 hospitals. He probably did go to Advocate Illinois Masonic which is not in Oak Lawn.

Advocate Christ Hospital is in Oak Lawn but not likely he would have gone south.

Also -- a few blocks away --

"A concerned neighbor...alerted police that something was wrong at Bart's Coins, 3939 N. Pulaski Road, late Friday afternoon...

"A woman called in a report of a broken window, and when officers responded they discovered Rymar in the back of the shop, dead from multiple stab wounds, he said.

"The "bad guy" had been buzzed into the store — the only form of access — and after an apparent robbery and subsequent attack on Rymar, the attacker attempted to flee, only to discover he needed to be buzzed out to exit, he said.

"At that point, he shattered a front window, possibly with a stool..."

https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20160403/irving-park/weekend-violence-rocks-irving-park-stabbing-shooting-were-targeted-cops

The tavern shooting has the trendies rattled...

"The shooting took place just outside the official boundaries of The Villa, a tight-knit enclave of Craftsman homes and tree-lined boulevards.

"The Villa, as well as the greater Irving Park area, rejects the violence that took place this weekend...make sure that not only will the perpetrators of these crimes be brought to justice, but that the environment that allowed these crimes will cease to exist," said Dave Rohfling, president of the Villa Improvement League."

It's everywhere...

OMG !!! I thought I'd never see the day when WEST WRIGLEYVILLE would have crime like on the near west side or "WEST HUMBOLDT PARK-- which I think the media and all other IDIOTS have stretched all the way out to 4200 west now.. guess I better think about putting up the house for sale

How true. I was listening to car radio yesterday, some goof doing a traffic report pronounces the street Paulina "Pauleena" SMH. Where do they find these goofs?

2 or 3 weeks ago, I was driving south on Pulaski around 11:00-11:30 and hit the red light at Addison. Not fun. Double-checked that the doors were locked.... Tried to keep an eye on all the budding young scholars milling about without making actual eye contact...the usual urban self-preservation rituals Chicagoans do in certain situations.

Prayers to that bouncer and his family. 51 isn't too old to work the door but it sure is too young to die.
