Nice Jail There Dart
- An inmate at Cook County Jail has been charged with aggravated battery after surveillance video shows him punching a correctional staff member, according to the Cook County Sheriff. The inmate was also found with contraband in his cell.
Jimmie Smith, 41, was seen on video punching the female correctional lieutenant in the face in Division 9 of the jail on December 5. Officials said the attack happened as correctional offers were trying to remove a contraband laptop that Smith had.
An investigation showed that Smith had previously been given access to a laptop in order to prepare for his defense, since he was representing himself in an upcoming trial.
The Cook County sheriff said an investigation is going into how he was able to keep the laptop.
Allowed laptops? In jail? What could possibly go wrong with that decision?

Jimmie Smith, 41 was allowed personal access to a laptop computer in his cell. Smith allegedly made numerous Pornographic Videos and even started his own talk show to the outside world. Smith is known for attacking staff members but Sheriff Dart refused to take away his privileges.
Smith allegedly attacked his attorney just last week.. Of course not reported by the press..
Smith attacked his attorney, following parole for 5 rapes, and then bragged about 3 murders (Smith lived in teen Yasmin Acree's bldg. - she disappeared years ago without a trace.) They're only allowed 5 practice rapes and 3 practice murders in a new "get tough on crime" strategy. Is this one of Dart's low level offenders?
Better get him back on the street as soon as possible!

How the hell did he get internet access to post the videos? Cell phone hotspot? Wifi hacking of some sort? In JAIL? WTF is going on in that place where an inmate can get access to a laptop with network support?
This POS should be given a short pencil with a pad of paper to "prep" for his case. Fuck this laptop bullshit...

Jimmy Smith and his co-offender Greggory Powell while on trial for the murder of two LAPD officers demanded and were granted outrageous jail privileges.
Both were sentenced to death but that was overturned when all California dead sentences were ruled unconstitutional. Both died behind bars but Smith was paroled 19 years after the cop killings.
"What happened in the onion field is true, but the real crime is what happened after." Should be required reading for all police.

I saw a recent documentary about them, and the prisoners stay in their cells, are fed in their cells, only removed for legal proceedings, and weekly showers alone, and when removed from the cell, are accompanied by at least 4 guards, chained, and not even allowed to stand up straight with their eyes open as to not see the layout of the prison to know where to go if they do get out of the cell on their own. Any prisoner deviating from procedure, earns liberally applied buttsrokes with an AK from multiple guards. A no nonsense approach, or as demorats would say, "common sense".

Speaking of heinous crimes and movies, anyone recall the sickening video of nurse killer Richard Speck made in prison, wearing blue satin panties and showing off his hormone shaped boobs. Speck is rotting in hell I am sure and another prisoner used that video to pay off his lawyer, but that's Illinois prisons for you.
I knew people that worked that case and no one was ever the same after that.

I'm guessing good o'l TV Tom caught wind of Jimmy posting videos through social media, and well, TV Tom cannot afford to to let the public see the type of circus he's running. Tommy's spokesperson said they were doing an "internal investigation"...but what's the investigation for? are they investigating themselves?? ....If only the public knew what was really going on in the jail, TV Tom would be voted out....or maybe not, because we do live in a hug a thug kinda world
