But Channel 7 lists 3 and 24 for some reason.

Who cares anymore?
This city is a Sanctuary city. That means non-citizens have more rights than citizens.
No one voted for anyone to break this downward spiral.
ONLY way to clean this up is to let Trump come in and get all the old guard out.

From a civilian reader: Channel 7 is reporting 3 dead because they are; ignorant of facts always and accept whatever the administration of Rahm tells them. Often they cannot even get street addresses correct in their reporting. And that is just the tip of the iceberg at most retail journalism shops in this city. Why do you think we consider this blog a news site? Sure there is an abundance of justified bitching but there is more often an abundance of news and information covered from a point of view we prefer than the goofs in the newsroom and 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and of course the nepos and confused at 11.
Kevin Graham has said he stepped down as the state 1st vp to run for Chicago 7. This is a bold faced lie. Chicago Lodge 7 endorsed another candidate. That candidate was also endorsed by the state troopers and every large FOP lodge in the state. Kevin also said he got us the 4 and 2 work schedule. Again a bold faced lie. Yes he was on the committee but he held it up for more than a year because it didn’t work with his child care plan.
Kevin Graham is just a Donahue flunky. He is Mark Donahue’s puppet. Voting for any city-wide guy is like putting the democrats back in the white house. Remember Dougherty wanted to put retirees in Obamacare three years ago!
In case you forgot the city-wide guys endorsed Obama and Donahue was the only member on the board to endorse Rahm Emanuel. Kevin Graham has been guarding Emanuel’s house. Go figure.
Do you remember the death of Marques Gaines? Check out the story at Loop North News for details of the arrest. You may recall that he was attacked outside a 7-11 store and laid unconscious in the street. Video showed the attack and as he laid there two men ran up to him and removed his cell phone and items from his pockets. The unconscious man was then run over by a taxi that was making a turn onto State St. Video showed the person who had struck Gaines remaining at the scene.
His death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner but the Chicago Police carried his case as a Death Investigation. No one in the detective division was eager to follow up and identify the offender. Could it be because to make an arrest would take it off the Death Investigation category and add it to the city homicide totals?
Thanks to Billy Jensen an independent crime journalist out of Los Angeles the offender in this case was identified. The information was turned over to Chicago Police who sat on this identification for some time without taking action. Now we are into a new year with a new homicide count. Persistent pressure on the CPD forced the States Attorneys office to issue a warrant. On Jan 29, 2017 the offender Marcus Moore was arrested in Minneapolis and will be transported back to Chicago.
FOP part of rahm 's Dimmcrat Chicago machine. They all get re elected .

C'mon, give the Lil Moron a break. Everything gets calculated on a 9.5 scale. No wonder he can't keep it straight.
They are trying to arrange it so the discussion becomes about the classification action itself, rather than about the sheer number of murders. That is the last thing they want to actually see discussed honestly. Look at the "investigation" talk being pointed to now - they want to arrange the discussion to be ABOUT the 'investigation', rather than about the substance being investigated.
Keep yer eyes on the prize fellas. Remember, you guys gotta be in the drivers seat now, not Rahm and not his media fools. Don't take the bait.

they are "killing crime" they got caught in the 1980's by zekman doing an undercover report we are revisiting the same deception different time! I had family that wanted to visit and stay downtown, now after talking to them they chose to "stay far away!"

they are all "owned" by rahm, not 1 reporter knows how to do the job without rahm giving them the information! rahm panders to the lawless the illegal invaders the dregs of society the media especially in this town is "dishonest" to put it mildly!
You wouldn't have the problem of statistics if people would just use the names. Compare a list of names to another one and in a few seconds it leaps right out who got excluded and then you can go ask why so and so person was included/excluded. But if it's just a generic number? There's little to no constituency looking to correct *that* injustice because all the families think that they are among the included not the excluded. But some of them are wrong, every month the numbers get fiddled with.
