Crime is Down
- More than 90 casings littered a Heart of Chicago block after two people were shot there early Sunday.
As residents near the 2200 block of West 18th Place woke up to walk their dogs, officers placed more than 90 evidence markers at the crime scene. Many evidence markers were placed next to what appeared to be rifle casings, and a law enforcement source later confirmed at least some of the casings were from a rifle or rifles.
An officer placed evidence marker 93 next to a bottle of alcohol that had been left on the road.
In addition, an officer guarded casings that were found on Western Avenue near 15th Street.
It's a good thing that someone had the forethought to order crime scene markers past the number "50."

Let me get this straight, it took 90 rounds or more, some of them from a rifle(s) to nail two men? This goes beyond terrible marksmanship. Are these people closing their eyes before they start pulling the trigger(s)?
If they are using AK or SKS rifles, you want NIJ Level III or Level IV body armor.

As usual, the guy shot in the face was on parole for a 2014 conviction for attempted murder, receiving 12 years, in custody since 2010, so time served credit means he did 3 years of the actual sentence....only in Crook County...
But Blago is still in custody...

Back in the day, I remember having to tie small pieces of crime scene tape around half dog bottles in order to identify the shell casings.
There was always an ample supply.
I guess another reporter doesn't realize that, these days, rifle rounds can be fired from pistols and pistol rounds can be fired from rifles, heck, pistol rounds can be fired from shotguns too, with a 30 dollar chunk of lathed metal.
Technological advancements flaying the ATF designations used to try to prohibit arms backfiring to the tune of ingenuity and invention...just another example of another way today's journalists prove they know exactly zilch about firearms as they continure to make claims that they can not possible deduce from casings laying on the ground. IE - literally making up Fake News daily in order to push their agendas (this time trying to set up the "evil rifled used" narrative.

This area reminded me of the young gal (Aaren O'Connor) that moved from San Diego California to be in up and coming fashionable Pilsen back in Feb. 2016, an innocent victim of rampant uncontrolled Sanctuary Crime. she was found shot dead in her car right in front of her apartment near 21st and Damen.
Another unsolved Area crime, by unsolved I mean uncooperative community, there no doubt who did it and which gang was responsible.
Solis Sanctuary allowed this activity to persist before and still exists today way after O'Connors death.
Part of the back story on efforts to hush-hush the crime and violence:

So crime and violence will have to take a back seat while Solis y Cardenas Inc and M & M Inc develop those Happy Trails and then on to the untouched south branches of the Chicago River properties.

Priorities. Had he just shot someone he could've been home a long time ago. His crime to them wasn't doing what they do. It was crossing the party.
My recent favorite is the execution with a double point blank head shot in Willie B.White park which the states attorneys deemed was a self-defense shooting proving yet again BLM LOL

The problem is that not enough of the young guys know a damn thing about anything other than computers and doing their hair in a mirror. Ask these folks to demonstrate the usage of a tool or critical thinking when related to mechanical items. They just don't understand it. Their education and desire for the pay check inhibit their abilities. Hell most of them don't even shoot out in the burbs on farms anymore with their buddies because they don't "get" the enjoyment of it. A lot of them just "qualify" now and act badass, waiting for their "chance". I am tired of these douche bags and not being able to carry a proper weapon when dealing with these animals. Someone or multiples of, are going to get hurt and that is going to elevate this nightmare.
Finally and I am sorry for the rant, if in the legitimate multifactorial identified use of force shoot them till they catch fire or change shape. That mentality will protect you boys and get you back home and it helped me....

I haven't received a ballot. When did they get mailed? When are they due back? Guess I have some calls to make.......
Shotguns are obsolete Ar15s are too long. The most violent city and the cops can't even have an SBR. 90 rounds because you cant see the sights at night. Stay away from steel plates go with ceramic level 4, your cops for petes sake.

Thanks I will continue laughing. I don't think you're a cop. You would know that our mags aren't loaded to capacity and I believe we are required to use 5.56. Even if you are a cop, you're a dork. If you need five mags of rifle for this job there may be an issue. 100 lose rounds? You going to pull out your speed loader, take three of your mags out of your dump pouch while other officers provide suppressing fire from these unrelenting gang armies? You're two shy of a basic combat load for an infantry rifleman in a combat zone? Wear a helmet, an IOTV and FLC while you're at it. Shotgun/carbine carry is good but boners like you are embarrassing.

and it took 12th District 45 minutes to find Aaren O'Connor despite the blown out windshield...roommate found her first.
Although ceramic is lite it's not made for multi hits like steel is. Your will get penetration with multi hits. Ceramic is also expensive.
