Need Wheels?

If you can't steal cars at dealerships, service shops or rental agencies, you might as well go to the source:
  • A security guard was run over by a robbery suspect behind the wheel of one of three cars that were stolen from the Ford plant on the Far South Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident was one of at least six over the last few months from the lot near 126th Street and Burley Avenue and the plant a few blocks west in which at least 25 cars have been taken by teens as young as 13 or 14.

Wednesday's incident happened about 1 p.m. in the city's Hegewisch community, according to authorities. The Ford plant is at 130th Street and Torrence Avenue a few blocks west.

One of the fleeing drivers ran over a 68-year-old security guard, who was in good condition while being treated for a leg injury at Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to police.
We suppose it's the logical progression - go to where there are a bunch of cars with keys nearby.

And what charges will Foxx not charge these young darlings of the future with? A slap on their wrist and on their way.

If only Ford gave the rug rats of the ghetto summer jobs to keep them off the streets from committing crimes might this incident not have happened. I blame Ford.

Lighten up. These "youths" are just exercising their entrepreneurial spirit and short circuiting the cumbersome Ford distribution network. Besides think of all those suburban moms who won't be subjected to a gunpoint carjacking. It's a win-win. Except for the guard.

Ford will just raise the cost of all the other cars to cover the loss. Just like every other business that suffers from thieves.

Governments full of thieves just raise taxes.

Residence living in the prestigious 'hoods' complain there aren't jobs.
Thugs are going to drive the few stores/companies out of the hood, then they'll really have something to complain about.

The American way. Want something, take it. No need to pay. Everything is free.

Car dealers, etc, need better security. Invest in decent video cameras for starters.

Another example of the chaos that is the 4th District. The triple-merit commander has depleted the watches of manpower by overstaffing his front office (5 police officers), CAPS office (who knows how many there are, as some are carried on the watch sheets), and plainclothes robbery and burglary teams in addition to having one of the largest tactical teams in the city. All of this goes on while some watches operate with one sergeant for the whole district.

Seriously, he's a perfect example of "The Peter Principle," a theory that states that a person can be promoted to his level of incompetence. And that level was reached long ago in this case.

Well better this is better than car jacking and shooting some innocent! Maybe the junk explorers with this serious problem:

Austin Police Department Pulls Ford Explorers Out Of Service Over Carbon Monoxide Leaks

http://jalopnik.com/austin-police-department-pulls-ford-explorers-out-of-se-1796902572

whoa wait a gosh darn minute this department pulled all the police explorers out of service? What has chiraq done? meters? testing? This is a great problem and a great defense, for example if coppers are involved in shit maybe it was because they were disillusioned and poisoned due to the junk explorers and this gas?

Could this be the "golden ticket" to help coppers who "impaired mental ability" due to this? read the story this is a dream for our defense lawyers, and why not sue the city, the mayor, ford and the rest due to this hurting coppers! With all the anti-police media and people could this be intentional? Wonder are the non-police explorers experiencing the same things?

Kevin graham anything to say?

hey scc, a little off topic but i think we the tax paying citizens should organize a bill and propose to il congress in order to help people like this security gaurd. since shitcago wants to be a sanctuary city we propose a fund to be set up and payed for by shitcago for any persons who are injured by a dui illegal immigrant in an auto accident or if someone is raped, robbed,or murdered by an illegal immigrant, this also applies to people who are victims from legal residents who are on early release parole, or multi felons where judges didnt even push for minimum sentencing and they are on the streets becasue of this. i went through the academy with a p.o who was murdered off duty by at least 4 individuals, 2 of the individuals were on probation for gun charges. i didnt even know probation was an option for a felony gun charge but i digress. i know people will say that this money will just come from taxpayers, but in the bill it will be stipulated the money is to come from judges who dont give pro22912948 er sentencing

Certainly not in Chicago. But elsewhere it's different. After a chase a Priceville, AL (Huntsville metro area) officer 16 shot and killed a 16 year old car thief.

When asked whether the teenager was armed, Acting Chief Williams said, "Yes, the subject was armed with a 3,600-pound Ford Mustang."

Bring back public executions? Okay . . . but the real problem is the public officials who ALLOW this chaos and carnage.

Because of the difficulty in obtaining quality drugs to execute condemned criminals via lethal injection, several states have brought the electric chair back into the on-deck circle. I'm thinking the General Assembly could use some new furniture . . . how about a baker's dozen of 9 piece sectionals wired for 2800 volts @ 7 amps?
