- Chicago police hope to make this 4th of July a safer one as they conduct anti-violence raids across the city.
It is something very similar to what was done for Memorial Day Weekend. The police department identifies those people who they believe are more likely to commit violent crime and then they take them off the streets, more often than not, arrested on some sort of drug charge.
It's an operation which began nearly four weeks ago as police began to target those they believe are responsible for the bulk of the gun violence in Chicago.

The problem with any theory are known and unknown confounding factors. Things that come into play which cause issues.
Here's some I believe are relevant:
* Lack of moral fiber in multiple generations of families in the "Community"
* Megalomaniac Democrats who will say or do anything to get votes in order to remain in power
* Corrupt Prosecutors who refuse to charge criminals because of their skin color
* Corrupt Judges who refuse to sentence individuals as necessary because of a multitude of reasons
* Corrupt Politicians who refuse to fund Police, and have allowed the Force to atrophy so they can get votes, and so they can redirect the funds to pet projects that stuff fat envelopes. They also receive monies and funding from entities such as Soros, and Bloomberg who desire to "fundamentally change America".
* ... and on and on and on.
How do you fix the first factor? By instilling personal responsibility though hard limits on welfare, grants, and other freebies. By ensuring that those who receive the benefits suffer consequences if they, or their minor children commit criminal acts.
But that will negatively impact the second factor, and so it's never going to happen in today's climate.
We can pontificate on how great it'd be to "vote the fuckers out!", but we all know that's not going to happen. Ultimately, enough people will have to flee this sinking rathole of a State that it negatively impacts how many seats they have in the Federal Government, as well as the number of seats in the State Legislature and when it gets low enough, someone will blink, or the J/O's that caused all this mayhem will flee, and then the good people will be free to fix things.
But that's going to take decades. And you know what? It's of no benefit to me or my family to fight this nonsense any longer. Good bye Illinois. Fuck it. Finding a new job out of State, selling the house/business, and moving. Everyone in my family is doing the same.
The big brass know these things. That is why they are at the top of the totem pole.

As I was scanning the radio stations this morning and came across an interesting story on 105.9 (we report what Rahm tells us to, WCKG) about a federal agents car being stolen. No mention of the fact that he left it running and unattended but they did end the segment by saying it's unclear whether or not the agent's weapons or vest were inside the vehicle at the time. I took a walk around Wildwood Park yesterday, the 4'th, about noon. The place was packed and you know what? There wasn't one piece of trash on the ground. Then at sundown I took my German crocodile around the park AGAIN and still not a piece of trash on the ground. And I didnt see one park worker either time.

M-80s are considered , under Illinois Law, an explosive device. To issue a citation and not make an arrest is just plain wrong.
I lost interest in fireworks around age 16. A lot of people in my neighborhood apparently have not outgrown the fascination of lighting a fuse and hearing a loud bang. Cool. Whatever makes you happy. If you continue to do it after midnight on what is now July 5--- you sir or madam are an asshole.
If Chicago is statistically a safer city than other large cities, why is Chicago always pointed to as the "problem child"? Are the criminals more heinous or are the politicians just more lackadaisical about crime and support of the police? Or is it just the largest number of people shot/killed every weekend grabbing the news headlines? (When they used to print that kind of news.)
Regardless of the reason, none of them would appear to be a good reason to become a "sanctuary city".

Our early tally is coming in at 15 killed, 88 wounded with the usual caveats being applied - walk-ins, late expirations, bodies found rolled up in carpet in burning garages, etc... It averages out to be about a person shot every 1 hour, 6 minutes vs last year's 1 hour, 20 minutes.
Our timeframe for this weekend was noon of Friday through 6:00a Wednesday morning.

Lack of parenting. Sorry. Sounds simple but but it is not supposed to be. My youngest is 19. Hard ass work. But it is paying off. All of my kids are college graduates, she just finished high school. No pregnancies, zero arrests. Two stories. Once a few years ago on a family outing a cousin of theirs joined us for all day just hanging out downtown. Same age as my daughter. She was on a damn cell phone the entire time. Refused to even look up. Told her mother, she could give two shits. Guess what, two babies later she is still finding her way. My son tells this story often to his friends. He thought I was a hard ass but you have to do it as a parent. When I think that most of the killers are my daughter's age, it makes me sick. A woman was in the hospital same time as my wife but she raised a killer and a career criminal. Parenting. Please get involved people.

The real estate market is going to get hit hard again but certain areas will hold they're values and those areas will financially carry whatever is left of the city . 46th Pct Officer Miosotis FAMILIA (F/H/48) was assassinated while sitting in her parked police vehicle early this morning. The cop killer, identified as Alexander BONDS (M/B/34), snuck up on her and shot her in the head as she was preparing a report. Ex-convict Bonds was later shot and killed nearby by the NYPD. Officer Familia, a 12-year veteran and mother of three was well-liked by her fellow officers.
May she rest in peace.

I listened to the NYPD radio audio of the murder of Off. Familia in the Bronx on YouTube. While I totally understand why her partner VM was incoherent in his transmission for help with an officer down, I believe that all officers should take this as a teaching experience.
While at the academy years ago, our instructor played the Zone 12 transmission of a sgt. calling a 10-1 with two officers down when he found them shot dead in a garage in 025. It was the last double murder of officers in the CPD. While I'm certain that his stress was overwhelming, he called it in to the zone perfectly calm and audible, even adding that everybody including K-9 and the CPD chaplain be notified. The academy should use his calm and entirely audible transmission as a teaching aid. NYPD officer VM was too frantic to understand.
The double cop killer was located and arrested hiding beneath a porch by Gang Crimes officers several hours and blocks away.
In order, announce EMERGENCY and the precise location for the 10-1 with officer(s) down. While your heart rate may be pushing 200 bpm, take a deep breath and make a relatively calm audible transmission that all will understand.

"Drugs in...guns and jobs out."
No wonder the black community in Chicago is so screwed up.

Six dead and eighteen wounded in four (4!) hours on Wednesday morning.
Add in another ten wounded from 10 pm to midnight Tuesday.
I guess a lot of the criminals were procrastinating during the long holiday weekend?

It's comical the way the media, mayor and exempts choose to tip toe through the tulips when it comes to law enforcement. Now it's technologies fault. The debriefing should be about the bed they made and are now lying in. That's what happens when you make the police the enemy.
The city is collapsing and all rahm is worried about is making sure that he raises 30 million dollars for his re-election campaign coffers. The media does not question him and phleger and the rest of the revs are afraid to make him angry.

I listened to the NYPD radio audio of the murder of Off. Familia in the Bronx on YouTube. While I totally understand why her partner VM was incoherent in his transmission for help with an officer down, I believe that all officers should take this as a teaching experience.
While at the academy years ago, our instructor played the Zone 12 transmission of a sgt. calling a 10-1 with two officers down when he found them shot dead in a garage in 025. It was the last double murder of officers in the CPD. While I'm certain that his stress was overwhelming, he called it in to the zone perfectly calm and audible, even adding that everybody including K-9 and the CPD chaplain be notified. The academy should use his calm and entirely audible transmission as a teaching aid. NYPD officer VM was too frantic to understand.
The double cop killer was located and arrested hiding beneath a porch by Gang Crimes officers several hours and blocks away.
In order, announce EMERGENCY and the precise location for the 10-1 with officer(s) down. While your heart rate may be pushing 200 bpm, take a deep breath and make a relatively calm audible transmission that all will understand.
May NYPD Off. Miosotis Familia rest in peace. The cop killer Alexander Bonds was shot and killed by NYPD.

While I was in the academy the instructors used a call by a CPD officer who was totally under control after both he and his partner were shot and gave a description of the offender and direction he was fleeing. The officer gave address of shooting

The Officers killed were Raymond Kilroy & Gregory Hauser. Frank Saens while working in 014 at the time, found the killer Roman Chavez underneath a porch.

Holy cow, sports fans! What a topsy-turvy performance we saw in this series! Friday started off surprisingly slow, with only 14 base hits. 7 singles, 2 doubles and a triple, with 3 RBIs for a combined batting average of .214.
Saturday's innings were a little livelier, cranking out 16 base hits with 10 singles and 3 doubles, plus a late RBI in the bottom of the ninth to barely get on the scoreboard for an average of .0625, though this poor offensive effort would look positively epic compared to Monday's Game 4 fizzle.
Sunday saw a little more life from the bench, with 22 base hits. 15 singles, 2 doubles and a triple, with 3 RBIs to more than double the average to .136.
Monday was an embarrasing performance, with only 8 base hits all day leaving a lot of baserunners stranded. 6 singles and a double, but some outstanding defensive plays prevented any RBIs. Some of the fans in the bleachers were seen wearing bags over their heads as if they were Saints fans from way back when.
After some shuffling in the pitching staff and a few revisions to the batting order, there were fire works aplenty for the Fourth of July double-header. Holy cow! After a slow start in the afternoon, Game 1 put up 8 base hits, 6 singles and a double with 2 RBIs to boost the average into the .250 range, with the real show still to come.
After the fireworks faded, Game 2 of the double header started promptly at 10, with an explosive first inning. From the beginning, this game was sure to be remembered for a long time as an extra-innings slugfest. Holy cow! The '27 Yankees never had a Murderer's Row like this! 34 base hits, with 19 singles, 4 doubles, a triple and an inside the park home run to produce a combined 6 runs in the 9th, 10th, 12th and 13th innings. The extra innings alone posted an overall average of .250 to close out the 2017 Crosstown Carnage Classic.
The final stats were impressive. 103 base hits, with 63 singles, 13 doubles, 3 triples and a 2-run home run. After Monday's dismal outing, a legendary rally, especially in the second half of the double-header to close the series with 8 out of a total of 15 RBIs. I can't believe anyone is even commenting on the way the NYPD officer called in the shooting. If you haven't been there, you can't imagine the stress. We should just worry about coming together as a blue family for the fallen officer and all our brethren who share the same violence on the streets that we all do.

Agreed if any of these guys or girls were in corporate America they would've been terminated long ago they are disgrace.
A really poor strategy. Leave them on the street, if there in jail they can't get killed. Why should we protect these assholes?
It would be difficult to find a more incompetent person than Special Ed to lead the Department.
