- Diane Hunter had just returned to her South Carolina home when she got a call from an old friend in Chicago.
“Dee Dee,” the friend said, “do you know there was a shooting on the porch of your mama’s house?” Hunter’s mind immediately went to her younger brother, who lives at the family home on 57th and Wells streets. “Where’s John?” she asked.
The friend told her what was then known about the shooting: At 8:50 p.m. Friday, two men armed with guns approached the porch of the home in the 5700 block of South Wells Street and fired at two people sitting there. Sedrick Ringer, 50, who lived nearby, was shot in the chest and leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, was shot multiple times in the chest and legs. He was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
John Hunter lived in the same building. Concerned, Diane Hunter sent over a different brother to check on him. On Saturday, Hunter said, her brother looked through a window at the home and saw a leg by the door. The sibling went around back and went through a window. He found John; shot, dead inside the house.
So the double becomes a triple. And Foxxx will be happy because attempting to convict someone with any evidence discovered at a scene where an entire body was missed for sixteen hours will be impossible.

Well it's true. The whole thing sounds like a Hatfield-McCoy type of feud. These are not uncommon in Chicago.
If the police discovered the body they'd be getting sued. The whole neighborhood would be yelling "yall ain't got no warrant start recording."

Of course the commander won't be on the hook even though he's the highest ranking boss on scene and barking out orders. But the Dets will have some explaining to do along with beat guys guarding the scene. Not good. In the end it's always the lowly PO that gets blamed.

I wonder if they ever knocked on the door, or was the front door unlocked considering the victims were sitting on the porch. Just wondering.

Then the the democrats start pouring money into the BLM coffers, riots, burning, more killings...just not worth looking for extra bodies that aren't going anywhere. Ms. Foxxx only looking to prosecute cops anyway. Cops ain't going to volunteer for that shit.

Okay Chicken Little, calm down. I know many of you wanted the city to burn down after the release of the McDonald video but it did not happen. And there never will be riots or burning or looting in Chicago. Killings by young black men, yes and it sickens me to see the true genocide. BLM? Whatever they stand for, it stands for nothing if they are not fighting to stop that. But please, no more blanket statements where if you live in the hood you are a danger. There are many families there just trying to make it.
I heard that the police knocked and rang the bell but there was no response. No further action required.

If you see bullet holes in a building you have to go in and look for wounded.
Family may say " he was wounded and bled out. Prompt medical attention could have sved him. Pay me."
It's an unexpected bonus as that sbag was most likely the target to begin with.
Doesn't anyone canvas nowadays. It's just like common sense, you search the area for evidence, secondary devices, and other victims. You interview anyone who is willing to talk to you, at least make it look good.

Fair enough, but I don't think it's the commander's job to track down the bullet holes and what could be behind them
Even though the real lottery is leaving town, the ghetto lottery will always pay off.

Doesn't seem like "the community" was looking out for each other so well in this instance.
Let us not forget about that pesky thing called the Constitution of the United States and the Forth Amendment contained therein.
The forcible entry and search of a residence is Illegal unless exigent circumstances exist. There was no exigencies here.
No indication whatsoever that anyone was inside.
-no Blood trail
-no bullet holes
-it was locked
-lights were off
-blinds were drawn
-No witnesses indicating anyone was inside, including the victims brother who lives in the coach house and was interviewed multiple times and never mentioned a word.
- no noise, calls for help, no movement, no response from inside.
Nothing!

I don't know brain surgeon, maybe he got shot outside and walked inside... sorry cowboy but we don't just randomly kick in doors at a crime scene checking for the likelihood of another victim. You go ahead and be the hero but I will not be buying a ticket to your fundraiser.
