How About a Raise?

Since Rahm has all his mouthpieces, ball-washers and trained seals out hitting the media with "crime is down" stories (because August 2017 couldn't keep up with August 2016), maybe our representation ought to be pushing the narrative that cops should be getting a decent raise for a spectacular effort the past thirty days.

And, in case no one noticed it, Toni Preckwinkle handed out raises like candy to HER people, as soon as the beverage tax was approved by the judge.

How many cops vote? How many cops are not registered to vote? How many cops voted for Rahm? How many dead cops voted for Rahm and will again?
Rahm and the machine will twist and use the numbers anyway they need to make themselves look good. The dem voter base AKA "the GibMeDat army" will march to any tune they are told to. With the sanctuary city and now state adding more dem voters honest elections, not a chance.
I hope your "UNION" wakes up after all thats what you pay them for.

Keep dreaming! Can't give the police any pay raises or benefits. It might make the job look more appealing and you would start getting qualified candidates.
The plan is to eliminate the police, then with no one keeping count, politicians can claim there is no crime anymore.

more likely is that permanent Nazicrat government of Chicongo speared by elite, revolutionary Rahmista's will softly praise CPD for reducing crime to the point where they can lay off about 50% or more of CPD since the Chicongo Crime Problem is now solved

OT: Human Resources has implemented a policy changed to the rules for the 2016 exam. If you failed the Psych Evaluation, you will now be allowed to dispute the results and re-take the evaluation. This change stems from a certain applicant who happens to be Illinois Supreme Court Justice Ann Burke's driver. This applicant was "fast tracked" through the 2016 process only to fail the psych test. Calls were made and promises dished out by Burke & Co. and viola "rule is changed" and "he's back in!"

Im sure he'll be on someones protective detail within 12 months of joining the CPD (making Sgt's pay until they can promote him through the ranks ofcourse). So you see boys & girls, when CPD was excluding a large chunk of former military or officers kids during the psych evaluation process - it was no big deal BUT exclude an "anointed one" and we immediately change the rules!!

Oh Barb, you still aren't going to Superintendent!!!!!

FOP must use state lobbyists to END the GOLD BRAID Pension
All sworn officers should retire at last rank they earned
so 30 % of entire CPD would retire at rank of Police Officer
that would really save our pension fund
let them invest their merit promotional pay raise in a private fund and pay in to pension at the last rank earned

They have to push the Special Ed 2.0, 21st Century Policing Initiative.

On an important note i hope u post. The bosses have froze open bidding to the 22nd dist! They dont want people with 20 years going there and not do anything! So only way in is by management. Pretty sure this is violation of contract! Not that anyone with any sense wants to come to 22 anyway!

The city says it has 12500 Police Officers. I call BULLSHIT. More like 8800 at most. If the budget is 12500 and there is about 4500 less than that... where is all that extra money from the budget going? That's over 3.5 million dollars a year??

If true yet more reason that this department is bullshit. Only major U.S department that I know of that makes transferring into a different district difficult.

The count of department personnel is 12274. I got this number from a notice put out from HQ for the total number of people that were to be trained for ISR training. This includes all members-not just patrolmen.

You are an idiot who has no idea what you are talking about and who can't pass 1st grade math. It you think the city is hiding 3.5 million by not hiring 4500 officers. 4500 at $75000 (isn't that about a 5 year salary) amounts to 337.5 million. Great math so you are about $335 million off and someone is supposed to listen to your estimate of the sworn officers
Go on Clear, they list the 12,500 sworn by rank, name and seniority, read the pension board newsletter that reports the number of police paying into the pension around 12,500 check with the FOP for the number and lastly but importantly take a 1st grade remedial arithmetic (math) class
