- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Tuesday assured incoming high schoolers that they need not to worry about President Trump ending the “Dreamers” program, saying Chicago Public Schools are a “Trump-free” sanctuary for young illegal immigrants.
“To all the Dreamers that are here in this room and in the city of Chicago: You are welcome in the city of Chicago. This is your home. And you have nothing to worry about,” Mr. Emanuel told a group of freshman on the first day of classes at Solorio Academy High School, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
“Chicago, our schools, our neighborhoods, our city, as it relates to what President Trump said, will be a Trump-free zone. You have nothing to worry about,” Mr. Emanuel said. “And I want you to know this, and I want your families to know this. And rest assured, I want you to come to school … and pursue your dreams.”
And does Rahm care to explain what happens when the Federal Government decides to cut off the money spigot? Or if the Feds decide to start raids? Who is going to stand in the way? CPD? Not likely. ISP? Even less likely.
This is yet another attempt by leftists to blame anyone but themselves and their own bad decisions for their lot in life. If you illegally enter a country and you bring your minor children with you, then you (the parent) are placing the kids in jeopardy of being deported - not Jeff Sessions, not Donald Trump, but YOU, the parent. Just because a socialist suspended the Rule of Law during his term in office and did nothing legislatively to revoke said Law, then you can't realistically call "foul" over the new guy following the existing law.
Let's see if Congress attempts to do something other than sit around with their thumbs up their asses like they did the past eight years and more.

His future ambitions have been placed on hold (once again), so he finds himself like Blagojevich in his job that he despises, but needs to hang on to because he has no immediate prospects. Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children. The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits. Wrong message to our children.
The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children.
The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates. Wrong message to our children.
The Milwaukee Brewers. Well that goes without saying. Wrong message to our children.
So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves.
As a diehard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women's athletic teams to something other than "the Beavers” (especially when they play Southern California). Do we really want the Trojans sticking it to the Beavers???

Our school system is millions in debt, yet we are paying for these illegals to have free education (which includes free meals during school). We could come much closer to balancing CPS debt if we did the right thing and got rid of them!

The biggest portion of your Cook County property tax bill is for the Chicago Public Schools. Like many Chicagoans, my parents provided for their children to attend private schools in addition to paying their taxes to support the CPS. Apart from kindergarten (not available at the church school) and driver's education classes, we received nothing from the CPS, but bills. There were no "tuition tax credits" back in the day either.
Rahm Emanuel is encouraging illegals and immigrants of all types because they are the only ones attending CPS schools (Latinos recently surpassed African Americans are the largest demographic group in the CPS). If you deport illegal aliens, many more CPS schools would be emptied and closed as redundant. All of the tax dollars that are money laundered in the name of "the children" and "education" would vanish as well as the massive corrupt bureaucracy masquerading as public education from the Chicago Public Schools and the City Colleges of Chicago. There are tons of contracts being awarded by these facade institutions for meal programs to buses. The recently deposed political incompetent who was not renewed at the City Colleges even had a "panic room" constructed in her office, so she could hide from angry employees. Now, her successor wants to sell the downtown office building and relocate offices to actual college buildings, so all of the remodeling was for nothing.
I said this a long time ago. Chicago is a great place... if you are a criminal or a freeloader.

My son is a Deportation Officer with ICE in a southern state. It used to be when the locals called with a suspected illegal alien (driving with no license, trespassing, disorderly conduct, etc) they could not detain the person unless he had a gun or a record of violence or was a felon. Now they can respond and take him into custody. A great way to get gang members, thugs, and various troublemakers off the streets. But Dems say police don't want to scare the "immigrant community" by dong this. Every cop I know thinks it's a good way to reduce crime. Too bad the political police executives won't speak up. Rauner on Wednesday dismissed the mayor's idea.
"I do not believe this challenge for these children can be addressed on a state-by-state basis," Raune said. "I think that would not be correct, would not be the right solution. We need a comprehensive immigration reform. It should be done on the federal level for the entire nation, and it should be done by Congress."

Average age when they first arrived: 6.5 years
Current age: 25.2 years
(That's an increase of 18.7 years of age over 5 years)
(Equivalent to an increase of 374%; or 74.8% per year/average)
18.7 years sounds like the average age of college/university freshman
25.2 years sounds like the prime age for "new hires" for major corporations
So, what started as the march of the children soldiers (average age 6.5 years)
has mushroomed into educated prime age foreign competition for American jobs,
all the while the DACA kids had free access to U.S. services and resources.
Do the math, people. DACA was like an innocuous Communist Invasion.

I went to school back when there were high schools; not career academies, outreach programs, technology schools, computer academies, alternative schools or military rotc centers. What does it cost to educate each CPS student every year $10,000.00. If you have 42,000 illegal immigrants enrolled that's $420,000,000! That's just for CPS. What about all the other services they will need medical dental etc. Are the parents also illegal immigrants not paying into the system. On FOX last night they pointed out that with Southern California being a sanctuary city it has caused the state to go broke. Same thing is happening here in Illinois and you ask the middle class to buck up and pay by way of higher property taxes, an increase in income taxes and when that isn't enough you come up with these ridiculous bag and soda taxes.
I can't wait to see the qualifications for the $75,000,000.00 scholarship money just passed in the state school budget. That's supposedly for parents who decide to send their kids to private school to receive a credit for the tuition you pay. I choose to send kids to a private high school because my kids were not "selected to attend Northside Prep" even though they tested higher then those kids living in a different zip code. So now I'm going to apply for tuition reimbursement from this new program. I pay $16,500 for each kid $33,000.00. I'm willing to go out on a limb here and say that there will be qualifications that say I make too much money don't qualify for any of those funds. So now lower income kids will not only get the opportunity to go the best "Selective enrollment schools" they can also attend a private school and receive money from the state to pay for it. Wow. And oh by the way we know we already increased your property taxes by 10% in 2016 but to pay for this new school bill we're going to have to raise them again. At some point you ll be better off not working and taking all the free shit.
We are paying for all of this and I mean real money $$$$$. I can't wait to move from here.
