- Federal immigration agents are targeting "sanctuary jurisdictions" including Cook County, arresting nearly 500 people this week during a four-day nationwide sweep.
U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) officials say "Operation Safe City" focused on cities and regions where they have been denied access to jails and prisons to interview suspected immigration violators or jurisdictions where ICE detainers are not honored.
There were 30 arrests made by ICE agents in Cook County and Chicago, a city embroiled in a sanctuary fight with the feds.
Channel 7 even lists the crimes for which these repeat offenders were charged with - weapons, DUIs, drugs.... which we suppose are actually "Chicago values" if you follow Rahm's reasoning.

I help where I can with anonymous phone calls to 312-347-2400 of any arrests that deserve attention. Sure enough they had a unit waiting for someone that received an Ibond.

My question for Rham is-- why do you consider this felon to be an "Undocumented" when the person is documented as being deported once before and being documented for redeportation.

I've worked in the restaurant industry for the last 7 years, and let me tell you I've worked with illegals from Europe, Asia, Africa, and obviously hispanics. A lot of people think that hispanics are the only ones here illegally. I knew this guy from Poland, no accent, nothing, like any other American, later I found out he was here illegally, same thing with this guy from Japan. Anyways,I am ok when ICE picks up all these criminals rather than hard working people

They should not be sent back!!! Times are tough, airfare or bus fare is expensive. Problem is ICE plays comstat games too. People charged not convicted. Domestics and traffic offenses top the list. They list weapon offenses and possession of weapons as separate categories. Some listed are not illegal aliens, they were lawful permenant residents who had their status revoked and deported due to crimes committed, but touted as illegals being deported. Don't buy the hype

We can't pull ICE agents over. They are federal agents. They are higher up on the food chain than we are.
As was noted on a previous thread, the liberal talk radio station (WCPT) reported that 1/3 of CPS students are illegal aliens. We could come much closer to balancing the CPS budget and get reasonable class sizes if we would just do the right thing for Americans and deport all the illegals of all ethnic backgrounds.

Bringing an immigration attorney with them and having the attorney announce what they are there for is the give-away
or some good-doer from a social service agency of that illegal criminal's country accompanies the rapist to "help them through the process". All to make sure the guy that sodomized the 6 year old little boy victim or had penetration with the 6 year old little girl victim gets to register and live happily ever after in Chicago.
