- Mayor Rahm Emanuel Tuesday blasted the Trump administration for suggesting that strict gun control laws wouldn't stop mass shootings like the one Sunday in Las Vegas that killed 59 people by pointing to Chicago.
"I really do wish that once in this administration they would take responsibility and accountability for something," Emanuel said after participating in a planning exercise to ensure that the Chicago Marathon runs smoothly Sunday.
Wow. A Chicago politician demanding someone take responsibility without once looking in their own mirror. Who is Rahm blaming for his latest budget gap? Oh yeah, police overtime. Who did Obama blame for thousands of guns "walking" over the border? Legal gun vendors. Who did Richie Daley blame for the parking meter fiasco? Aldercreatures. Who did old man Daley blame for racial strife? Dr. King.

Hey Rahm, LA and NYC do have stricter gun controls than Chicago and lower murder rates. However, other big cities in Illinois (as big cities go) like Aurora, Naperville, Rockford, Peoria, Springfield don't have out of control murder and violent crimes rates either. This is a Chicago problem that you and your democratic partners are afraid to face and deal with by properly applying the laws on the books by prosecuting and incarcerating those who need it.
Lock up, for a long time, straw buyers. Illinois now has concealed carry. Anyone caught on the streets with a handgun should be locked up for 3 years, no probation or parole, as does New York State. That would put a dent in things, but the Black Caucus and black aldermen are against locking up black gun carrying gang bangers.

I for both:
A) 2nd Amendment gun rights for sane, responsible Americans (not illegal alines, Islamists like Muhammed Ata let in on student visas, not military assault rifles for non military people - 12 gauge shot gun is fine for home defense, also good for shot gun marriages and we need more of these)

I left murder and mayhem, immigration and racial crime anarchy New York City in 1990 - 2,000 plus annual murders, atrocities like the Central Park jogger getting gang raped and nearly murder - the rapists all but one got off scot free and received huge 4 payouts.
Then Rudy Guliani was elected mayor and after him Mayor Bloomberg. New York City under mayors Guliani and Bloomberg had very strict, zero tolerance with illegal guns (very hard to get a permit). There was stop and search. Violent crime, shootings murders were cut by at least 80%. We should have that happen here in Chicago.

Can someone please explain to me what common sense guns laws are? Can someone please explain to me are the gun laws that are on the books now not common sense? The last time I looked isn't there a law against murdering someone in Nevada? The last time I looked isn't there a law against shooting a firearm with the intent to kill or harm someone illegal in Nevada? Is taking someone's life (murder) a common sense law? I know I am not a Rhodes Scholar but if there are any Democratics out there can you please explain the following question to me. If there is a law against murdering someone and a person disregards this law and goes out and kills another person (58 people) then what other law can be enacted to prevent murdering someone?
I was watching FOXNEWS in Phoenix this morning....
The Las Vegas shooter had booked rooms high up in the same hotel on nights when Chance the Rapper was doing a concert in the same venue. Had he done the same shooting with an almost all black victims this country would be burning from coast to coast and white people would be shot on the streets just for being white.
He also booked hotel rooms in August for a hotel here in Chicago which overlooked the Lollapalooza music festival here in Chicago. Here with the venue bordering on the lake more people could have been trapped.
Looks like we may have dodged a bullet, hundreds of them.
Maybe he heard about Chicago's tough gun laws.

FYI , They were approved because they were not in violation of Federal Law. If ATF tried to impose a ban ardent supporters of the 2nd amendment would’ve screamed holy hell that Obama was trying to take away their gun rights. Now they’re flying off the shelves.
Obama administrations ATF guy gave the OK for bump stocks to be legal. It's a fact, but they have to blame Trump whose doing alright in my book. Join the NRA it that important.
