More Lincoln Square
- A man and woman in their 60s were robbed at gunpoint in Lincoln Square Sunday night, according to a community alert issued by Ald. Pat O'Connor (40th).
At approximately 11:30 p.m., two men approached the couple in the 2700 block of West Leland Avenue, pulled a gun and demanded the pair's cellphones. After the victims complied, the men fled on foot west on Leland.
The suspects are described as black males, 18-25 years old, 130-150 pounds, between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 8 inches tall, wearing black hoodies and black pants.
Amazing - an accurate description! Lincoln Square must be the Happy Hunting Grounds we heard so much about in those old Westerns.

The men of the community need to wear white t-shirts with the message: " CAUTION. Postive Progressive Male". These t- shirts can be distributed by the many store front churches and block clubs prior to the anti-violence march. Marchers can chant " Diversity over Adversity in my Hood" or "Keep it Real-Don't Steal"! CAPS can have a hot dog cookout with all the circuses. These type of organized events have dramatically improved the quality of life in underserved communities.
