Nice Sports Program Rahm
- Wheaton's St. Francis High School has forfeited Friday night's football game against Chicago Hope Academy on the city's West Side because of safety concerns, St. Francis President Tom Bednar said.
Hope's Sept. 29 game against Providence Catholic at Altgeld Park in the East Garfield Park neighborhood was interrupted by gunfire a few minutes after kickoff. Chicago police said someone in a vehicle shot and wounded a 36-year-old man driving on West Harrison Street, just south of the park.
Bednar said the school has played at other fields in the city without issue. But the shooting, along with gunshots reported near Little League games at Altgeld Park over the summer, convinced the school to keep its team at home.
This park has had more shooting incidents nearby than almost any other. Too bad there isn't an Overtime Initiative to provide extra protection, but you know Joe Ferguson single-handedly outlawed OT.

Brings back the memory of Queen of Martyrs refusing to go to St. Sabaina to play a basketball game. Of course Fr. Faker said they must be racists. Hilliard even jumped in and said how safe the neighborhood is. You can't even protect your kids in this city without being called a racist.
Chicago Hope Academy is NOT a Chicago Public School. It is a private Christian high school.

Beat him into a coma, a pair of 13 - 15 yr olds arrested (for no reason).
Then there's the United Center community hoops tournament riot in March AND again in August.

Wheaton offered to host the game AND give Hope Academy the gate receipts AND the concession receipts and Hope said no. Sheesh, you have one bad night where 16 and 17 year old kids have to lay prone on the ground for, like, 20 minutes while an active shooter is cleared and all of a sudden nobody wants to play at your field . . .
The only hope at hope academy is the students hoping they don't get shot going to and from school. I thought sanctuary cities were supposed to be safe cities.

I work a full tour and most of these scared sergeants only cut themselves early nowadays so I gladly welcome the swipe in and out. It would be nice to see some of these "bosses" work a full tour. Unless of course the swipe is only for us peasants.

Back to Friday Night lights football programs at HS's are folding all over the place because it kills the brains of already brain dead kids, about a 20% reduction in a few years and youth football is plummeting even worse. So if your going to be an NFL snowflake bitching about making millions in bling every year in a racist country you had better do it quick cause the NFL isnt going to last as a major sport.
Unfortunately St Francis and Hope Academy crossed paths with Mope Academy and of course Mope Academy won...again.
