Out-Bribed?

Everyone knows it takes suitcases full of money to land the Olympics. Every games of the modern era has been tainted by allegations (and proven accusations) of massive bribery. If it isn't outright money, it's "gifts" and paid vacations and "honorariums" and maybe a little hanky-panky. Brazil was just better about it than Chicago:
  • The president of the Brazilian Olympic Committee was suspended Friday amid an investigation into a vote-buying scheme to bring the Olympics to Rio de Janeiro in 2009 when Chicago was in the running to host the games.

Carlos Nuzman was suspended by International Olympic Committee a day after he was arrested and accused of storing gold bars in Switzerland. The decision came hours after Brazilian authorities asked for help from prosecutors in Switzerland.

The IOC also suspended the Brazilian Olympic Committee and cut ties with the Nuzman-led Rio Games organizing committee, which still has unpaid debts.
You mean Brazil lost money on the Olympics?

Guess who else lost money - and didn't even get to host the Olympics?
  • Mounting Chicago's bid was an expensive but privately funded endeavor. Nearly $76 million was raised from donors, who also kicked in $16 million worth of goods and services.

But it left a pricey legacy for taxpayers. Last year, the Tribune reported that the city was on the hook for about $140 million in principal and interest on the purchase of property for an Olympic Village to house athletes.

And it was saddled with costly, 10-year union contracts that were hammered out to ensure labor peace during the Games.
Thanks again for that Shortshanks.

Ok, so they get the Brazilian guy, but how about the people he bribed? Wouldn’t they have been IOC people? Sounds like the IOC and our crooked politicians here are very similar.

Millions and millions of tax payer dollars stolen, he doesn't have to testify in court over the Park Grill scandal, corruption coming from everywhere in city hall and he denies knowledge of it, right before he leaves office he sells Chicago's assets (including a 75 year lease for the parking meters to a company he now works for making $250,000 a year as a 'consultant,' etc, etc. All this and more and he's still a free man. This particular fact still amazes me and nothing at all surprises me about what goes on around here. They should make a movie about Daley. Truth is stranger than fiction. Daley is truly an untouchable.

But Daley won again and again. The media told you that anyone else would not run the city correctly. The most fucked up comment was from Charles Gardner (Pursuit of Happyness), he clearly stated that if Daley left so would he. Geezus man. There are other people who have fun for Mayor but the obvious thing that is true, big business runs Chicago. If they do not get bribes, no bid contracts, reduced property taxes, no one else can win. This is up to the common folk to put someone in office who truly gets it. This will be painful for sure but it must be done.

So...

Can we start building a scaffold to stretch
the necks of those whose names appear on
the incorporation papers of D/V Realty?

You know...

Those rotten motherless fucks who were
"gifted" with some $70 MILLION in
Police Pension Fund money to "invest"
in local real estate but ended up
flying to Copenhagen Denmark with
Shortshanks?

You know...

The "pink guy" professional political
grifters were gonna show those Euro-pukes
how business was done in "Chicawguh."

Dafukouttaheah...

Those continentals pantsed and rolled
Shortshanks like he was a drunken
Blackhawks fan stumbling from under the
viaduct at Rockwell & Madison sans pants,
sporting a hellacious shiner, a big fucking knot
on his head and babbling some stupid shit about
"Her mustache tickled when she kissed me..."

Buncha fuckin' dopes...

Cue:
Reports of Daley screaming, crying, throwing things
and slapping his man servants around on the flight
back from Copenhagen.

Dear God.
Somebody should've recorded that.

Anyhoo...

We do derive some measure of satisfaction
because a lot of thieving muthafuckahs
who were looking to make a killing on
all the property they snatched up around the
Douglas Park, Garfield Park and Bronzeville/Douglas,
all ended up taking a moon-shot when Chicago
lost the bid.

Time was short.
A BIG return on investment dollars
promised to some big hitters promptly
dissipated like a fart in the wind.

That return failed to materialize.

A bunch of MAD m/fers caught holding
the bag with next wave (25 to 50 years from now,
if ever at all) urban renewal/gentrification
properties.

Dirty cocksuckers so damned shady that
their silhouettes throw a shadow
on a cloudy day.

A pity Michael Scott took the lick
instead of whoever was hiding behind him
but hey, when you make yourself indisposable,
disposable you ultimately become.

One of the cardinal rules in Chicago politics...

So...
DV Realty netted a tidy remuneration of what?
$10 Million to $15 Million in "fees."

Right?

So the rest of the money is "unaccounted for"
and there's no investigation.

Right?

And m/fers are all up in their own asses
about how greedy and out-of-control
Chicago Policemen are?

Sell that crazy shit somewhere else...

Bureau of Printing and Engraving would've had to
run off new issue $100K Gold Certificates and
circulate them in uncut sheets to keep foldin'
money from disappearing in this town.

Cue:
Shadowy m/fers flitting from pillar to post
with bulging architect folios of the damned things.

The thievery/politically driven lick-hitting
in Chicago would have been unimaginable.

Protect yourselves from THEM.

Police Like You Have No Friends.

I remember the actual tears of joy and relief people were shedding that afternoon when Chicago was eliminated.

Had da 'lympics come here, the entire Daley clan and many of their minions would now be in Moscow, Bali, and Switzerland enjoying high end whores, endless mountains of blow, Bentleys, etc.....

While the chumps stuck here would be paying for it all for 40-50 years, all the while fighting bums and illegal aliens squatting in the derelict Olympic Village.

Chicago's aversion to anything but anti gun politics is the one thing that acted as a straw that broke the camels back, because some would have had to change for the games, but that was a scapegoat of sorts.

Somewere playing, for YEARS, this game of forcing people out of their properties, others were scooping up "blighted" properties and still others were playing zoning for dollars and had the olympics actually come here, the back side loots made by certain players would have been SO OBVIOUS it would have brought down the ummm pre__ent at the time. SO much corruption, SO much graft, and some of it WAY too obvious.

THAT's why Chicago didn't get the nod.

Privately funded my ass! Shortshanks literally left us out in the cold that winter the Olympic Committee was here checking out potential venues. Richie didn't plow and salt the streets in neighborhoods except where they were looking, and Alderman Burke lives. We had to suffer through that and paid the price in taxes blood and body and fender repairs.

Thank God we didn't get the Olympics.

Daley should have a room without a view in some real hell hole prison perhaps Angola in Louisiana. Daley should have gone to jail for the parking meter deal his brother Bill brokered which was sold for 10 cents on the dollar. The Michael Reese property is another deal which enriched the connected at the expense of the citizens of Chicago.

At best Daley was incompetent as mayor but a more likely answer is he was a crook and should be in Jail. Blago got years and never profited anyone a dime Daley got his brother a big commission on the parking deal ( what is the commission on a BILLION dollar deal)

He considered it his legacy moment and he really was pissed when the Olympic committee told him to bugger off. Remember when he sent Obama to Sweden, or wherever the fuck, to tell them Chicago had better get it?

The look on his face when they told him to bugger off, the first time anyone told him that, was worth all the money pissed away and stolen. And they gave it to a country where a rower risked his life getting the water in his mouth.

You have to remember this is Chicago. One way or another they are going to steal it.

Whose bribed here? The law hello rahm and elected very clear:

https://www.justice.gov/usam/criminal-resource-manual-1907-title-8-usc-1324a-offenses

Domestic Transporting -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(ii) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law.

Harboring -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.

Encouraging/Inducing -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv) makes it an offense for any person who -- encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.

Conspiracy/Aiding or Abetting -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(v) expressly makes it an offense to engage in a conspiracy to commit or aid or abet the commission of the foregoing offenses.

Why are these laws not enforced? Thought we were told "ignorance of the law is no excuse" but then again the elected make the laws and violated the laws! Why should any citizen obey any law?

You would be right if the calendar read 1975 or before, but around the mid-1970's, it all changed. People started blabbing everything to everybody. Secrets were a thing of the past. I have a inkling as to the reason, but if I wrote it, I would be lambasted by the political correctness enforcers.

Blabbing about the most complicated conduct, unlawful acts and/or intimate personal details became the norm long before social media, however, each new technological "improvement" to electronic social communication made it easier and easier to blab faster and to a larger audience. It was like gossip over the backyard fence became attached to a large billboard on a never-ending zip line. The information traveled faster and farther than ever.

That said, somebody would have most assuredly blabbed anonymously about how shanks was dumber than a stump to fall for the International Olympic Committee's con game or how smart the IOC thieves were to have stuck it to the shanks, but then deny it all when the leak was attributed to them.
