Escape to Chicago

Even murderers from other states are coming here due to the low clearance rate:
  • A man wanted in a murder warrant in connection with the beating death of his 10-month-old child in Las Vegas was arrested Friday at a Greyhound bus station in Chicago, authorities said.

Eric Chu, 31, was arrested Friday afternoon by the members of the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes FBI agents, Chicago police officers and Cook County sheriff’s deputies, according to Chicago FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

Chu, of Las Vegas, who records show has previously lived in the south suburbs, is charged with murder in the death Wednesday of his child, whose name and sex authorities have not yet released, according to a news release from Las Vegas police. Court records show a murder warrant for Chu’s arrest was filed in Clark County Court in Las Vegas on Friday.
Didn't work out so well this time though. And let's not catch anyone claiming this as a "Cleared/Closed by Arrest."

12% clear up rate is not only attacting murders to Chicago, but there's also a couple of possible serial killers lurking about.

They ran to Chicago because they KNEW
the Indiana State Police weren't under
the Liberal/Progressive/"Communerty"
mandate of "Reform" and were thusly
free and unencumbered in using the
Law Enforcement boot to kick pockets
in their asses?

No bullshit "Communerty" outcry and
no white-guilt liberal/progressive
hand-wringing/eye-wetting for them
getting well earned pockets kicked
in their asses in rural Indiana for
doing the fool?

Chain them to a house-sized block
of the hardest granite and tell them
to make gravel...

Well, when you advertise that you are a sanctuary city, don't expect to attract the creme de la creme.

Isn't that right Mr. Bezos?

There are so many criminals in Chicago he would blend in very well with his surroundings. Chicago has a large population of fugitives who outwitted home monitoring devices, have outstanding criminal warrants and have situations they are facing. He probably heard the anti-American aclu has handcuffed the police and criminals have been granted an elevated status. Chicago is a sanctuary city for criminals of all sorts. Even the mayor, city council and county supervisors have assured law breakers a safe passage and acccess to government services granting them sort of a criminal refugee status.

Chicago is a welcoming city. Heck, we dont even check or vet new arrivals from across the globe. The City of Chicago clerk can issue him a taxpayer paid for city identification card or a new identity to start over in his new home. Its time to start fresh and leave his past behind. This new i.d. Card will give him the right to free health care services, etc. Welcome to Chicago where the middle class pays for the demise of their city through progressive politicians and their policies.

Special ED is cutting down on overtime again in the D unit.

They have merit sergeants who were desk dollies their whole career now reading investigations and not having a clue what is legit overtime and fake.

The sergeants think probable cause is "IT MIGHT BE" in legal terms.

Warrants for phones, emails, and cars has slowed the process to a crawl.
ADD in all those nifty car cameras,POD, security cameras and my favorite body cameras.

The patrol sergeant don't even want to watch any video for fear of the LAQUAN effect and burger king lawsuit.

And best of all the 48 hour rule in holding someone is actually 12 hours thus adding another layer of wasting time not investigating.

I expect 4-6% rate of actual arrest of murderers that actually GO to trial.

If somebody wanted a leg up on committing the perfect murder, they'd just wait until their intended target visited Chicago and nail him then.

It is for Vegas. This will not make any difference in CPD stats ( as low as they may be ) because it's not a Chicago murder. The only book this will go in is the number of arrests made by the Task Force. Good job by the Task Force.

It’s no surprise the clearance rate is so low as CPD has less than 1,000 detectives to investigate all the bs that occurs in a liberal bastion such as this. Considering all the boasting being done by Tiny Dancer 9.5 of the newly hired 53 officers earlier this month, you’d think the department was actually close to its goal of hiring an additional 1,000 officers, in reality they are strugggling to keep up with attrition. It’s a shame nobody in the media is willing to take Rahm to task for the bullshit he spews.

This Is Just An Opinion, So "No Facts" To Back This Statement Up. If You Are Not A Current, or Retired Law Enforcement Officer, Your Chances Of Not Being, Arrested, Charged, and Convicted Of A Crime, Here In Chicago, Are Better Than Anywhere Else In The Nation.

Assignment to Violent Crimes Task Force and some of the other special units like Financial Crimes come with some nice perks, neighbor was assigned to Finance' got a car and $13k boost, home most every afternoon after his surveillance reports etc. He knew his stuff and got offer from private sector at retirement but there was also the heavy whose father sat on police board who got the boost after having only read someone else's arrest reports.

Rahm is picking up the pace of hiring. He is running for re-election and has to keep the 1000 additional officers promise. Was over at the academy last week, place is packed. Not enough lockers for everyone. Heard range and gym instructors now have home rooms and as I was leaving saw a new class of recruits arriving in the after. Wondered why and was told the new class was put on 4 to 12 last week because of overcrowding
