Three Warnings
- For a few moments Thursday morning, as a Cook County judge waited for Marilyn Hartman to step into his courtroom, it looked as though she might have eluded authorities once again.
But unlike in an airport lounge, the slight, bespectacled woman with a tidy silver bob was hard to miss amid the dour inmates and beefy sheriff’s deputies, most of whom towered above her.
The serial stowaway had no need for deception, though, because shortly after she was led into Cook County Judge Donald Panarese Jr.’s courtroom at Grand and Central, he told her she could go free — but not before warning her, three times, to stay away from O’Hare and Midway.
This is at least her third strike concerning trespass to airport property and attempts to board aircraft. Suffice it to say she isn't learning her lesson.
You know what the Courts ought to try? Warn the ne'er-do-well's THREE TIMES to stop committing crime, burglarizing houses, shoplifting in stores, robbing pedestrians and shooting each other.We'll bet that the Bond Court could do away with bail altogether if this was done properly.
Someone notify Dart, Evans and Prickwrinkle.

They won’t stop at the third warning. It’s like raising a kid, empty warnings will create a smart ass teenager that’s difficult or impossible to control. This though, is even worse. Empty warnings from the judge create life long criminals that society has to deal with. In fact let’s see what these judges home lives are like. What kind of kids did they raise? THAT is a good gauge of how good a judge is.
Judge Panarese is police friendly and a good man. Nothing bad to say about him.

Why doesn't the TSA hire this woman? She obviously knows the tricks to get past the incompetent screeners. She could be a goldmine of getting rid of useless workers. She'd love the free 'travel' benefits as well. Thought Emanuel was all about jobs, jobs, jobs...
How about the judge order some psychological treatment for this woman. That we the taxpayers can fund again. To release her will not solve the issue. Probably already at airport now.
So next time, refuse to allow her return. Let her sit in a French prison.

if you'd just quit arresting folks there wouldn't be any crime. if you'd just quit chasing folks there wouldn't be as many areests so that would get crime way down also.
Just do "revenue centered" tasks like giving out traffic tickets & such. Stay away from "cost center" tasks like investigating & arresting

I am sure she will heed the judges stern warnings. After all she is such a law abiding citizen. Why would she stop with absolutely no penalties for her past actions. Probably already at airport looking for her next vacation trip. Good to see a senior citizen faring so well. Travel and see that the world before you die, nothing o see here. Meanwhile everyone else is striping down for the TSA geniuses.

She’s been turned away at the Ohare dozens of times after her arrest a couple years ago, and that was just for her lingering about the baggage and ticket public areas.
TSA and a few airport employees did a good job recognizing her.
Her intention was not to go to London either.
(Imagine for a moment, would she have been turned away at [any] border, detained, welcomed or sent back?)
She’s just seeing what she can get away with and doing a fine job making monkeys of the authorities, sworn and elected.
On the other hand, there are many, many pissbums with the same access to these areas that come and go too, not to board aircraft but just with nowhere to go.
The arrest and subsequent i bond is no deterrent for someone that has nothing else to do.
TSA and the rest of the Security took most of the heat for her breach.
Not her. And she’s laughing, not at them but the real goofs in charge.
Excusing her continual bad behavior and dismissing it as mental issues is only possible in Democrat Chicago.
If she can do it successfully more than three times, plenty of unsavory malevolent have too.
It’s too much and inconceivable to think of granny as an paid operative.

She's going to be the court-appointed foster mother of the kid that keeps getting pinched for false personation.
Have the multiple TSA agents that let her pass through, on multiple occasions, been reprimanded or terminated yet? I don’t understand why I had to take off my socks at the checkpoint, my grandma had to get off her wheelchair, my kids had to throw out their snacks, my Starbucks coffee (purposely purchased AFTER the security check point) had to be swabbed.
It might seem funny to some that she keeps getting through, but it’s no joke!
OMG! A third warning?!?! Hopefully a physiologist was on hand for some support after that brutal punishment. I could not even imagine the emotional scarring that was left behind. WOW!
Judge Panarese is a very good man. They are giving I-Bonds to armed habitual offenders at CBC because he's no longer there. Surely this isn't a slam on the good judge. Maybe TSA should take note and hire her.
She'll be arrested at some airport before her next court date on February 13.
Also, the judge told her to stay away from O'Hare, and then added in Midway. I don't recall him mentioning any other airports, so don't be surprised if she takes a little trip up to Milwaukee to test the TSA at Billy Mitchell Field.

Mike Wallace has been passed awhile now. 60 Minutes on CBS damn near praised him, Tom Dart, as a great white hope of sorts. The message I took from the piece(tick tick tick tick) was "Isn't this just wonderful? This man has figured out a way to truly rehabilitate criminals."
Tick tick tick tick and the clock is shown and the "60 Minutes" audience somehow believes these stories to be non - fictional in nature. A lady trying to sneak or stow away on a bird at the airport I don't think would register on Dart's radar even if The Finest brought her in with totally legit charges.

Does anyone know what Airline she managed to get onto? If it was a UK Airline (BA, Are Lingus, etc...) I'd have expected Charges to be filed over there.
So, TSA and airline employees have dropped the ball a few times in letting a 66 yr old Caucasian female slip past. A female who is not wearing a burka. Or carrying suspicious luggage. Or behaving oddly or nervously. I guess you have to ask yourself, what is the likelihood of ISIS or Al-Quaeda recruiting 66 yr old Caucasian females? What makes this a victimless crime? How much does it cost to fly where she went? Did she cause someone else to get bumped off the flights? Are the airlines not allowed to be victims? You sound like the same people that say that selling and dealing drugs are victimless crimes too! If you ever had a family member, friend etc... hooked on drugs and you had to deal with it, you would be a victim too!

Felony Theft with no bond is BS. They're throwing that her because she exposed how weak TSA security is. This should be in small claims court, between her and the private airline.
