- The beginning of the end: Special Ed is not making changes as fast as Rahm wants so Walter Katz made him hire Lori Lightfoot’s assistant Maurice Classen as director of operations. They literally told Special Ed this guy is going to sit next to you on 5 and to let him run the department and for Eddie to stay out of his way. I thought Eddie was doing a good job being Rahm’s bitch but I guess not good enough. Maurice starts Monday with his SJW marching orders from Walter. Be ready for some big changes in pro-COPA policy very soon.
- Speaking of Snowflakes, The man who directed the Police Accountability Task Force, Maurice Classen, will be starting as Assistant to the Superintendent for Diversity on Monday. Every decision Johnson makes has to be passed through him so the city can weigh in on it just like Masters Masters Masters. Even got 3Ms office directly across from Johnson. He says his mission is to make sure CPD is focused on real justice not just criminal justice.
- SCC I confirmed Maurice Classen will be Director of Strategy for the Chicago Police Department. A former assistant to Leftist Senator Patty Murray and failed candidate for Seattle Councilman, Maurice Classen will be taking over Jim Roussels office and position as a second chief of staff with control over policy. Classen was most recently employed by Lori Lightfood to head the Police Accountability Task Force where he signed a sweeping indictment of systemic racism in the enforcement of law against acts of violence and use of weapons in African American communities. Classen is seen by City Hall as the right person to guide the department priorities in the election season.

You play to get paid your salary hoping not to run into something now that will get you fired or indicted. The more you work, the more you increase your chances of getting fired or worse. The union needs to file a lawsuit against COPA and Lori Lightfoot demanding that they be removed. Both are so biased against the police that an officer can not receive a fair hearing from either of them. And while they are at it take a vote of no confidence in Rahm and his entire police command and the city council.

I am retired from CPD I parked my wife's car downtown which has law enforcement plates. I paid the parking meter through the city app. Upon returning the the vehicle I saw a shabbily dressed F/1 hulking over the small vehicle then I saw her put a parking ticket on the windshield. I knew she was wrong because I could see that I still had eight minutes on my receipt. She walked away at a fast pace and I politely call her back at which time she said over her shoulder " you know how to fight it". How does she know that I know how to fight it because of the law enforcement plate. That is the reason she wrote the non existent violation because of the law enforcement plate. I still had the receipt on my IPhone and again asked her to come back and explain. She turned and walked away at a fast pace again. I called her 50 shades of Amish and anything that came to mind.
If anyone stops one of these police haters that Rahm hired please do the right thing and write them the violation that they so richly deserve.

That will be the day when there is no overtime for Detectives. Your General Offense case report might take 45 minutes to complete, then you go back in the squad and watch your IPAD. Try and do a shooting scene, canvass the block, interview lying witnesses, go to hospital and interview the victim, or view his body for # of GSW's, notify family is victim(or Offender is dead), search for camera's and get copies(if the dumbass clerk knows the code and, go to area and start on your Major. Oh wait, if someone is in custody now you are telling me that there is no overtime? Did your dumb ass forget about the 48 hour rule?
Don't forget that to call the State to come and review your case and demand that you find that one person on the camera who was walking by the scene as the shooting starts and has a hat and scarf on that makes identity impossible.
When I hear the same old story in January that overtime will be cut, that is when I start driving slow and typing slow.

That will be the day when there is no overtime for Detectives. Your General Offense case report might take 45 minutes to complete, then you go back in the squad and watch your IPAD. Try and do a shooting scene, canvass the block, interview lying witnesses, go to hospital and interview the victim, or view his body for # of GSW's, notify family is victim(or Offender is dead), search for camera's and get copies(if the dumbass clerk knows the code and, go to area and start on your Major. Oh wait, if someone is in custody now you are telling me that there is no overtime? Did your dumb ass forget about the 48 hour rule?
Don't forget that to call the State to come and review your case and demand that you find that one person on the camera who was walking by the scene as the shooting starts and has a hat and scarf on that makes identity impossible.
When I hear the same old story in January that overtime will be cut, that is when I start driving slow and typing slow.

Not a cop, but DAMN. Three people, pulling down almost 500k a year in salary. What the fuck man. Assistant to the assistant positions. Budget director? Who does that job now? 150k for that? Was that job even posted to the citizens of Chicago? There are many accountants out there who would have loved that job. Again, the clouted few wins in the city. And the rest of us are called lazy and told to take bullshit jobs because "it is something". I thought the FOP was strong, where is the fight? And now there are more layers of management in CPD than before. So why does the city pay gold braids then if they are not the boss?

If I was Rahm, I would pull every white officer and supervisor out of majority black beats and districts. They might not be racist, but the community won't care. If Jason Van Dyke was black, none of the marches and stuff would have happened. This city has to rethink the way policing is done. White officers will never have "legitimacy" in black neighborhoods. They will always be looked at as an occupying force. Pull Them Out

When I came OTJ at Fillmore, James "Gloves" Davis and his former partner Rick bailed this white boy's ass out of a couple of 10-1s. Both were outstanding police officers in my personal experience. May they rest in peace.

You could get a 40 day furlough if you had the comp time to fill it in. You never had problem getting some days off when you needed them, and you didn't have to burn every single personal day you had to get a weekend off. You hit the medical and you got your three, and you didn't have these medical clowns blowing your phone up every day to come down. The bosses took care of you when you had court or family obligations and they actually worked the street once upon a time before they were made. All that is ancient history now, and much of it we can thank the FOP for because they allowed this union to be walked back into the dark ages of fair labor practices.
