- Fired Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy is accusing Mayor Rahm Emanuel of being asleep at the wheel when it comes to stopping Chicago’s epidemic of carjackings and waking up only after the problem was out of control.
McCarthy said the brazenness of carjackings in the downtown area — often after motorists are bumped from behind and get out of their vehicles to assess the damage — has discouraged tourists from visiting Chicago and suburbanites from coming downtown.
“When I got here seven years ago, when there was a crime in the Gold Coast or Michigan Avenue, everybody was up in arms. It was like the craziest thing in the world that it could ever happen. That’s no longer the case. We’re becoming numb to it,” said McCarthy, who is considering a race for mayor against Emanuel.
“There’s shootings on Lake Shore Drive. Northwestern Hospital is getting hit with bullets. An off-duty Chicago cops gets carjacked in Bucktown at 12 o’clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday. People are constantly looking over their shoulders. … There’s not part of the city that’s safe right now.”

In typical Chicago political fashion the above poster tries to put every one of CPD's problems on the back of one guy. It is nowhere near that easy. The best option available to most of us is to try and pick the best of the worst; and they are all bad so no matter who you point to on the Chicago political stage, he or she sucks, just in different ways.
McCarthy did what Rahm wanted. Then Laquan McDonald got shot all to hell. Whatever happened to two in the breadbasket and one in the head? Did McDonald really need to be killed over a dozen times? Because that is what that copper will have to answer for, each and every bullet and why did the cop keep firing when it seemed clear the guy was dead or near death but down and certainly no longer a threat.
The prosecutor will ask, "Why did you fire bullet #1 Officer?" "Why did you fire bullet #9 Officer?" "Why did you fire bullet #14 Officer?" And so it goes. The cop will have to explain not only why he shot the kid but why he shot at what was surely a corpse lying on the ground. I've been at shootings where someone who is sworn had the presence of mind to yell: "CEASE FIRE, CEASE FIRE." There just aren't any old guys left who went down that road and know what to do, or, what not to do.
Rahm is the worst, therefore I will vote for McCarthy in an attempt to stick it up Rahm's ass like he did to me when he stole my families' health insurance.

I presume you mean the terminating supervisor when you say “squad asked PH1 for location.” If so, then it makes sense and is funny. If it was ROs, it would be better if he said, “supervisor terminated, we had to stop chasing.”

The way I read the terminated chase post was that the chase was terminated..fine I get that. But maybe someone was asking the location where the object was tossed out along the route, to recover said object (gun, drugs, etc.) Not to resume the chase.

You're an educator, teach the voters where all the money has been misspent and stolen. Also, don't over play the anti-Trump rhetoric. The Trumpsters will just vote for McIlkefreedrinksandmeals. You have no clue what you are talking about. The ACLU has nothing to do with with Trump, Sessions, DOJ, or the government at all. We were doing ISR's a year and a half before Trump was elected. You must be thinking about the consent decree, which was put on hold by session.
