It's almost like if people are determined to injure or kill, they'll find a way regardless:
- A woman was walking to the Fullerton Red Line station Tuesday night when a man grabbed her from behind and stabbed her repeatedly, Chicago police said.
The 21-year-old woman was walking east around 10:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Webster Avenue in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood when the man grabbed her neck and put her in a choke hold, police said in a community alert.
He stabbed her several times in the upper body, police said.
The woman was stabilized at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
And once again, the description of the offender is sorely lacking.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 21-year-old woman was grabbed by a man and stabbed repeatedly Tuesday night while walking to the Fullerton CTA Red Line station near DePaul University on the North Side.
The woman was walking eastbound toward the station when a man she did not know grabbed her by the neck from behind at 10:53 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Webster Avenue and put her in a chokehold, Chicago police said.
The man then stabbed her multiple times in her upper body, police said.
"I heard the young girl screaming and crying," said one Lincoln Park resident who didn't want to give his name. "I went to the front door, went out, and she was sitting on the sidewalk facing the fence, covered in blood."
The resident, a retired doctor, encountered the victim wounded and shaken. He brought her into his home until help arrived.
"Her whole face covered in blood, hands covered in blood, and she was actually on her phone trying to call 911, which she did," he said.
The man did not say a word to the woman and she was not aware that she was being followed, police said.
After the attack the man ran off eastbound. Police described the suspect as 5 ft. 9 in. tall wearing all black with a hoodie and baggy black pants.
The woman was in serious condition at Illinois Masonic but was expected to be released Thursday.
"Facial wound and wrist wound, that I saw," the Lincoln Park doctor said. "She was not knocked out, but she was pretty upset, pretty scared."
The victim may have been wearing earbuds at the time of the attack. It's unclear if robbery was the motive, but police said the suspect left empty-handed.
"It happened so suddenly and so abruptly, she didn't have an opportunity to get a really good description of the offender," said 2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins.
"Very frightening, especially for this area. That's very, very frightening," said Ashley Pineda, who works in the area.
"So definitely not something I want to hear. I even pick up kids to babysit right at Oscar Meyer right there so the thought that something could even happen to them too is really scary," said Lincoln Park resident Kayleigh Greenwood.
"It's troubling. I can't say it's gonna keep me from living my life the way I always do, but I'll definitely be a little more alert," said Laurie Redman.
Juliette Struye, a DePaul student, says she's not fooled by a false sense of security.
"I definitely feel like a little bit safer with my dog 'cause he's, like, small but he's like a fire alarm if anything happens," she said.

Great point, but lets take it further, get video, photo's of the dear departed from those knife killings in London. Have the defense attorney blow them up to poster size and place it where the jury is constantly looking at it.
Is there some sort of loose coalition of goofballs out there that have banded together to simply travel around the city and randomly stab people on the street and on buses and trains?
