I go every weekend, partly out of obligation, partly because of the kids.
One thing that is appatent is that the parish shows how much money is collected each week.
And the yearly budget is available online.
I looked on Saint Sabina web site.
No bulletin.
No budget.
No info on collection.
WHY?
If every other parish discloses, WHY NOT?

This was not just a failure in leadership for CPD, I think it is safe to say it was a failure in leadership of ISP. Although Leo didn’t march arm in arm with these law breakers, the top levels of command at ISP caved in with CPD top management (use the term loosely, don’t think they managed anything other then managing to completely embarrass themselves and thier respective agencies) and allowed these law breakers to take control away from the Police.
Not a word in the media about the group of law breakers who were chanting “ fuck the police”.
How much tax payer money was spent on CPD, ISP, IDOC, and IDOT? Why was it spent if you were going to allow them to break the law and shut down a main artery to the city. Cars, SUVs, Trucks, buses, bikes, and vans. IDOC correctional officers with thier vans and buses ready to load up arrestees (hey where was the Cook County Sheriff in all this?) and transport them to lock ups.
So let’s hear the truth of what happened. Who gave in to who? who gave the ultimate go ahead for a group of pedestrians to unlawfully enter a expressway? Where is the line drawn on which laws we enforce and which ones we don’t? Have the mayor and governor thought of billing the archdiocese of Chicago ( the cardinal supported this law breaking affair) and the rainbow push coalition?
Can someone in the media please ask these questions before round 2 which is rumored to be to strangle O’Hare on a important holiday weekend by shutting down 190. They feel inconveniencing the Northsiders will send a bigger message.

We protested the soda tax and bought are soda in Indiana. We won against the County with the soda tax. How about every time we don’t like something we close the expressway. That would be everyday for some of us with you guy running the place. It’s ok to protest as long as it’s done lawfully. No matter how you sell it it’s not ok for them to protest with mob rule. How about FOP protest the Hospitals and not let anyone in or out because we don’t like are medical for retirees. Who gets to pick which unlawful protest is ok or not. Father Pfleger said, when asked about blocking the expressway, that civil disobedience is the best way to bring attention to something. The mayor said, when confronted with the same question that it was a peaceful demonstration. SO, one acknowledged breaking the law, the other condones breaking the law, as long as its peaceful?
