Wrong House
- A man was fatally shot while trying to break into a home Tuesday night in the Gage Park neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The man, thought to be in his 40s, was trying to break into a home in the 5700 block of South California when he was shot by a resident, according to Chicago Police. He then ran away.
Officers responding to a call for the burglary at 10:17 p.m. arrived to find the man lying in the backyard with a gunshot wound to the neck, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
He won't be doing THAT again.

Just because he was found outside, doesn't mean he was shot outside.

A suburban sergeant shot an intruder in his front room. After the intruder went down, the sergeant dragged the intruder out to the front yard to prevent blood flow onto his hard wood floor. He was highly criticized.

That nasty homeowner. The poor dead man was only there trying to collect donations to feed hungry kittens and starving orphans. How dare they blatantly slaughter an upstanding member of the community in such a heartless manner! They obviously have no appreciation for the groundbreaking new movement to bring personalized, one on one cultural enrichment right into their living room.
Gun toting citizens like the shooter are clearly regressive troglodytes in need of sensitivity training so that needless tragedies of this nature are a thing of the past.
