I thought those were the overnight numbers. There were several overnight, multiple victim shootings in 006, 010, 011. One had 8 victims, another 6 and a couple had 4. There were at least 20 people shot overnight.

There’s a total of 4 detectives on the job with under 5 years on. You’ve cracked the secret code to saving this city and returning the clearance rate to that of the glory days! We’ll just get rid of those 4 detectives and all of our problems will be solved! There’s 78 total detectives with less than 10 years on the job. Maybe if we cut them too we could get the clearance rate up to 30%!

Thank God we live in a sanctuary City and a trump free zone.
We need to put things in proper perspective. The vast majority of shootings and homicides are happening in the south and west sides. But to get even more specific, it is happening in a geographical area of about 15% of the city. The north side and the lakefront is booming. Luxury apartments, luxury condos, expensive eateries, restaurants, bars and residents are moving in.
All jokes aside those stats are really bad. I often wonder what Chicago crime stats would be like if we had weather like Miami or Phoenix? Some say bring in the National Guard. But what exactly would they do? Roll APC's and tanks down Madison and 79th street? I don't like hearing we will be the "next Detroit". Hell, that city is slowly rebounding while we are descending into hell.

I think what it most accurately reflects is how little the "community" cares when one of their own kills another of their own. Clearance rates improve when witnesses report who and what they saw. When those witnesses are gang members, or friends and family of gang members, they don't snitch. Even the so-called "regular" citizens in the "community" are either too afraid of the gangs to snitch, or they just buy into the whole "no-snitching" culture. It's pathetic and hilarious how much they do to pretend they care about black lives, while actually showing how little they care when they can do something about it. Black people are killing black people. And black people are protecting them from prosecution, while trying to blame the police and anyone who isn't black. Responsibility isn't a thing in the "community."

I didn't realize they were still pulling dicks for summer mobile. I did the summer mobile thing the last five years of my time on the CPD. Most of the dict's on summer mobile, either were being punished, stepped on some bosses toes or were like me, getting away from the paper and a change of scenery. Having a clear-up rate where it is now is just plain crazy to divert investigative manpower to summer mobile.
This is apparently what the community, ACLU, and BLM want. But the police are the problem...

THIS, this is why I get so fucking angry when I hear leftists talk about the need for "justice" and the "brave work" the protestors are doing. Fucking sixty people shot this weekend, 12 hours on Sunday includes something like four quadruple shootings, a couple quintuples, and an eight-pack, yet not two weeks ago I was watching streams of people rioting in the streets and attacking police because they shot an armed criminal in the act of drawing his gun on the officers involved.
The progressive left is just the enemy of civilized society at this point. Imagine being so ass-blasted over four criminals being killed by cops over six months' time that you're willing to fuck up daily life for unrelated people while ignoring five fucking dozen shootings by "the community" in one single weekend.

Chicago’s violence is out of control. Here’s the repercussion the city will care about: middle class and up leaving the city. Crime is spilling into north-side neighborhoods. Carjackings, burglaries, and beat downs on the sidewalk for cell phones and wallets become more of a reality. It’s something you read in the news, then something happens to a coworker or a friend, then it’s on your block and something happens to a neighbor or your family. The city’s public transit is sketchy during the day, and unsafe at night. Stores are smashed and grabbed on the mag mile, tourists witness crime or are victims themselves. These of course arent new problems, but are clearly growing ones after crime ticked upwards circa 2015/2016. This trend doesn’t appear to be slowing in the foreseeable future. If anything it’s more likely to increase as criminals are emboldened by the public’s anti-police attitudes, communities stay reluctant to report crimes, and the judicial system continues to be lenient on offenders. Perhaps the best case scenario is violence continues at current levels. This won’t be sustainable. Continued year on year this has serious potential to stop the influx of young professionals and drive out tax-paying families. Chicago will always be a major city, but there will be a slow, perhaps even a reversal, of population growth and investment if crime is left unchecked. The violence won’t change until the culture changes, until then its best to get tough on crime. But that won’t happen and here we are.

And alderman Burnett has a lot of experience with crime as a matter of fact he is a former stick up man was arrested turn off the present time but then joined his friend Jesse White rock them out got his record totally expunged and made him an alderman so Walter has experience with criminals as yet you have to be one to know them maybe Walter could help turn it around talking to his peoples/folks!

There are dozens of Detectives and Cold Case teams solving a bunch of murders, Did you see in the news? Is it being reported with that 17%?? For those of you who don’t have a clue or aren’t a Detective , ask this. The murders we solve from previous years, where are those being counted? Why doesn’t this Dept stick up for us and release those numbers? Are Area is at a 50 percent clearance ration as of today’s date. Do you seee the spin? A murder from 30 Dec 17 gets solved, Where does that stat go? Everyone thinks these Cold Case guys are working on years old murders? They have murders from every year? Our Cold Case team has atleast 20 clearances for the year, From a bunch of previous years, Where are those stats? Don’t believe the media. But then again, why wouldn’t this Dept release those numbers?? My partner and I alone have about 8 clearances for the year, From this year and previous years homicides. Not bragging, because there are a ton of us. But where are those stats getting counted ??? Anyone in the media care to answer?? Probably not, Doesn’t fit your narrative of making us look like idiots.
