Big Meeting
Mandatory attendance for those assigned to certain Units/teams:
- OT...Special Ed is bringing all A/N Gang, Gun, Sat, and Tact teams down to HQ this week Thursday to meet with him. Rumors are flying but no one has any clue as to what's going on. Disbanding the units? Reopening an old area? Gangs back to OCD? Lots of freaking out going on. Adjusting everyone’s hours to make sure they attend?
Some last minute consolidations? A push for year end numbers? Perhaps a new beginning of Mobile Strike Force? Remember those guys? After months of lies about not being disbanded, they were disbanded and sent to all the south side districts where they remained for almost two years as the Department refused to open up District bids.
Word to the wise - if they start to cancel everyone's details to form up a new unit, watch your asses. You have no bid rights to a District closer to home and are subject to the whims of the Department upon disbandment. We speak from vast experience here.

The reality is two districts (11 and 15) are responsible for most of Area Norths violent crime and yet the numbers don’t reflect much saturation there. Everyone is aware of the half assed methods of policing used and accountability is coming.

The average time on the job for our whole tac team is about 4 yrs. Most, if not all, were brought in by management order from the dc. The alternative was using reverse seniority to fill the spots. That alone speaks volumes. People would trip over themselves to get into the unit before, now you couldn't even give those spots away. And frankly, the low quality of arrests they bring in does not justify their existence. They would serve more purpose answering calls on the watch.

“Accountability is coming.” Wtf is that supposed to mean? The accountability falls on p/os? It doesn’t fall on the bosses, politicians, communities, states attorneys, defense attorneys, parents, superintendent, Mayer, blah blah blah. I see. Again its the fault of the police.

They are splitting area North up into Area North and Area west. Area west will be 011, 014, 015, 025 and Area North will be 016, 017, 019, 030, 024.

Maybe it’s to ask for volunteers of a new unit and if none come forward reverse seniority? I’m sure if that happens people will bounce off the teams back into the watch to stay in their districts so that won’t work...hmmmm

Yet some how, some way they closed the Area's closest to the action. IN WHAT WORLD DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Gang teams, Sat teams, and Detectives further than they need to be.
