Glenn Sues Everyone
Former Commander Glenn Evans has expanded his lawsuit to include certain media types:
- A Cook County Circuit Court lawsuit claiming top officials at the city’s former police oversight agency conspired to frame a Chicago police commander on criminal charges has been amended to include a public radio station and a reporter who wrote about the story.
The amended complaint brought by attorneys for former Chicago Police Commander Glenn Evans now names as defendants the public radio station WBEZ and reporter Chip Mitchell, claiming that Mitchell and WBEZ conspired with officials at the city’s former civil oversight agency, IPRA, and “knowingly and recklessly published false information about Commander Evans. . . .”
The lawsuit—which also names IPRA officials and investigators Martrice Campbell, Sharon Fairley, Scott Ando, Andrea Stoutenborough, Anthony Finnell, Vincent Jones, James Lukas, and the City of Chicago—claims the defendants ginned up false allegations against Evans based upon a 2013 arrest Evans made in an abandoned building after Evans observed an offender with a gun and gave chase.
Many descriptions we've heard of Evans is a generally good cop....with the personality of sandpaper. He was particularly abrasive with political hacks and aldercreatures, which puts him a couple of notches above most of the exempt staff currently in charge.
The people he names and the internal politics he's already exposed as corrupt to the core put him light years ahead of Special Ed in terms of backing the rank-and-file. This is especially pertinent as outlined in this article where IPRA and then COPA have been leaking confidential information to the media, plaintiff lawyers and various anti-police bad actors for years.

Commander Evans is a Prince and so is Sgt Rouse, two good cops I wish were at top running the department, they have common sense and are more enlightened than the goofs we have running Department now.

It wasn’t the citizens of 011 that loved him it was those of 003. Glenn Evans was policing in 011 like it was 1978 which is good if it wasn’t 2015. He was an idiot LT who got his shit handed to him at NATO making McCarthy love him. he brought with him to 001 and 003 one of the worst cancers to ever be on this police department, lemmer, to handle all of his paper work. Glenn Evans and lemmer had a meeting with all the tact teams/06 personnel in 011 and said that they made to many narcotics related arrests and wanted to see more ANOVs and search warrants. He thought that would keep crime down. If you look at the stats as to when 011 started really getting back to the killing machine it once was look no further than the Glenn Evans period. He is a nut who can’t even keep his pants up. Look no further than the domestic abuser goof he use to let walk him in and out of court when he was fighting his case. Glenn Evans thrives off of those who worship him. What happened to the guy from peoples gas guy or wherever he was from that came to his house??
I do appreciate how he has really given it to IPRA/COPA though.

THE WATCH "who conspired" talks about the three Officers case who are currently under indictment with their case looming. IPRA/COPA with holding witnesses from investigators and leaking information to the media, while a case was under investigation !

Glenn is definitely the real police! He was one of the last who would actually stand up to aldermen and reverends when then were wrong. He would also back the troops when they were in the right even if that meant going against political correctness. His personality is not the greatest, and he and I disagreed on animal treatment, but if I called for a back up, was thrilled if it was Glen (and Dave). Or either Evans.
