Going to Need More Popcorn

And the "not guilty" plea by the skinny Johnson provoked a huge outpouring of stories, rumors, and allegations. We heard of some, knew of others. But this promises to be an interesting comment section:
  • More than 2 sources which I’d trust with my first born have confirmed: every merit pick with KJ’s John Handcock on it will be whistled-in shortly to the Grand Jury. Seems there were going rates for sergeant and detective promotions.

There’s also been a link discovered between KJ and the stud from 005 who was scamming all the coppers’ tax returns. Word on the skreet is that dude gave up KJ and several other Bossholes and that’s what got KJ on their radar.

  • Rumor is that he is not falling on the sword for his brother who knew (and benefitted) from the 24 years of cashed checks. Watch for KJ to be moved to a “less sensitive” Deputy spot and Saldana from 014 to get his spot. 14 will go to Ozzy Valdez

  • stay tuned. gonna get real juicy. there were price tags he would put on merit promos. some people left deposits only to find out someone else got the nod. selling spots to multiple people. i got you next class gets old quick and people that were promised and paid for spots that didnt get them tend to get pissed off and start talking to authorities outside CPD. which is why the feebs got involved. grand jury convening and theres gonna be alot of puckered assholes. deals being made to return to previous rank not get fired and or jail time and keep pension if they testify against kenny j.
We can only hope a fraction of this is true. It would make the Department 100% better.

Just goes to show you that only the dumbest morons are promoted to supervisors in CPD. It starts with LIE-TENANTS and works its way up the ladder. I have yet to meet any white shirt above SGT who could make a decision without consulting some other Boss-hole.

Time to drain the Chicago swamp.

If true, which most of it probably is, a few will go down, a few "more important" people will resign or retire before anything bad happens to them, and most will keep their spots and their jobs with no repercussions. Reminds me of the lieutenant test cheating scandal. Maybe having the feds involved will make it a bit more legit, but not much will actually change.

12/03/2018 12:35:00 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

This scandal has the potential to bring down the entire department. With the Feds involved this might actually change how this joke of a dept is run. The FOP should try to get the consent decree delayed and re written so that the brass is involved in some of this “Accountability” they just love to talk about. This is a chance to actually set some rules down about merit picks and what qualifies one to be considered especially if that rumor is true that payments were made. Everyone who didn’t get promoted who was actually passed up by a merit selection should organize a class action lawsuit and bring this department to its knees.
Is this idiot also going to be guilty of tax evasion as well? One has to pay taxes on their income including SS, was this idiot filing false tax returns as well and getting tax money back from money he was stealing? How does the department expect to build those bridges and earn the community’s trust when our “Leaders” are stealing money and selling promotions?! Sounds like they are the ones that need all the reforms and oversight. ☠️

SCC and his staff should be embarrassed of themselves. This is nothing more then a witch hunt. I've been promoted meritoriously 4 times if you count Captain and I've never once paid anyone off. I was promoted to detective and then Sgt thanks to my crooked Bridgeport connections with a shady judge. After that I conned Eric Washington into making me a Lt. He didn't care a fig newton about why I got dropped kicked out of the Detective division. Once I made Lieutenant I sucked up to Leo Schmitz so grandly in 007 that alternative lifestyle poster child Melissa Staples was forced to put me in for Captain meritoriously. Once you make Captain meritoriously kids the sky is the limit since you can't test for that position. As a Captain I was protected by the Commander of 019/23 that knew I was too stupid to handle anything by myself so he let me do nothing while cash flowed into my bank account. My ship really came in after McCarthy was launched and I took advantage of the chaos to get myself jack-potted promoted to a Commander position. I never paid anyone off and I have never been a member of the Communist party so you can eat them apples while my CAPS Sgt picks up my son (understudy) from school on the tax payer's dime. Everyone on this job knows “merit promotions” have always been the cancer and weakness of the department. People will sell their souls for a merit sport. Many will change their behavior and personalities for it. It’s instant wealth with all kinds of perks. It is corrupt and there’s not a doubt in my mind people have paid $$$ and still are paying for promotions. It would be nice if this KJ guy would start flipping on everyone else. I’m sure he knows all kinds of stuff. Chicago needs to be cleaned out and renamed.

Not shocked in the least. Been hearing about this "Rumor" since coming on the job. The kicker is that it has to go even deeper, since the nominated merit picks must clear the merit board. This could be very interesting indeed. Would be nice if it led to a change in the promotional process, but I won't hold my breath.

Where if your whack is big enough grand juries can be indefinitely suspended, witnesses convinced to reconsider and the passage of endless time allowed to help people forget.

So don’t hold your breath. If things work out in typical CPD fashion, this will be quietly fade away. And then 3 years from now there’ll be a single paragragh blurb on page 23 of the Scum-Times that reads: “A former CPD commander was sentenced to 2 years probation and forced to pay back over a quarter million dollars accidentally deposited into a joint bank account shared with his deceased mother”.

If there were prices on merit selections, this will come down to someone who didn't get picked. They will Need Someone to talk. Because the selectees will be tight lipped as usual, because "the first rule about Merit Club is...No one talks about Merit Club" That's why this situation has been allowed to fester for so many years. I would love to see about 200 or so merit hacks get demoted. This would be a black stain on their record and they likely would never get hand picked again. And everyone would know who they were. Imagine these hacks actually having to study for a promotion...

If true, this will be headlines for a while, and may be another reason Rahm is leaving quietly. This turkey is going up the river and may want to talk. The one who paid him monies are actually guilty of bribing a public official, and may not be so inclined to talk.

so this family admits to their now deceased relative leading a Breaking Bad Walter White lifestyle, but suggests DEA agents are lying when they say their relative tried to flee a traffic stop in which the now deceased was carrying cocaine for distribution. The family's reasoning, he wouldn't hurt a fly, he wouldn't flee from police. And they make several excuses about why he was transporting drugs. And how he made sure to let the entire family know of his locations, how much he was carrying etc. Sounds like the idiot family just implicated themselves

Historically, few CPD scandals involve White Shirts. In the 70's we had the Cmdr Thanasouras and a few of Lieutenants and Sergeants. In the 90's we had Sgts. Patterson and Hicks at Public Housing. In between there were Blue Shirt scandals, Miedgenowski, Pac Man, Miller, the Marquette 10, etc. However, those scandals are nothing compared to what an exposure of the outright selling of rank, which has been hinted for years. This goes beyond Nepotism and Cronyism; this is a definable CRIME, which hopefully will result in prison time. In addition, it could also result in lawsuits involving everything from arrests supervised by Illegitimate supervisors, and discipline issued by them. Would they be stripped of their rank and pensions? The ramifications of this go beyond any other scandal in our history, and the effects are difficult to even comprehend. And realizing the scope and magnitude of this damage; would the federal government dare to open this pandora's box? Pop corn is appropriate as this drama unfolds. Stay Safe & Strong. Baby "G"

“There were FBI agents, not only in the Washington field office, but also in the *Chicago* and Patterson field offices, who were blowing the whistle on Mueller internally, saying he’s squashing our investigations [into terror networks],” Edmonds said.

Robert Mueller to be assigned as a special counsel to investigate promotional collusion within CPD. Five top-notch public corruption squads of special agents to be reassigned from the many Hillary Rodham Clinton criminal scandals to investigate CPD. There is evidence of foreign interference in promotional selections. Along with evidence of money laundering and promotional finance contributions within the deep state of CPD.

The City should be ordered to revoke all Merits and return them back to the understaffed District Patrol Division (and back pay the FOP dues too) until a concrete merit standard can be written and established.

Time will tell.

12/03/2018 02:28:00 AM

Any efforts to minimize or "clean" up this mess will result in a shit storm of epic proportions.
Google "stealing social security benefits"
Just about everyone convicted for variations of that scam received significant fines and prison time.
If Johnson beats the case, or gets a quiet conviction with a fine, probation and slap on the wrist, I'm sure lots of folks convicted for the same offense will deluge the court with motion to vacate, new trial requests, claims of prosecutorial misconduct, favoritism.
Especially the NYPD cop and his wife who just got charged with a similar scam back in September.

12/03/2018 01:05:00 AM

Somebody brought this up on the thread regarding his plea deal a day or so ago.

My initial thought is both of the brothers were at least lieutenants at the time of the last exam, so they may not be involved in the Noble/Chief Eugene Williams/Chicago Police Lieutenant cheating scandal...
but...
I'm also told that other NOBLE members ( along with the brothers Johnson) had copies of the exam, which they were reselling to non NOBLE members for as much as $3,600.00
Two of the purchasers scored extremely high on the exam and were in the first and second classes. At least one is exempt.

Makes you wonder what else was going in Human resources/personnel when Eugene Williams was chief, Tracey Ladner the HR Director, and Kenneth Johnson his sergeant

Time to get rid of merit promotions. There is no honest way to do them. Best to dump the whole process.
12/03/2018 09:57:00 AM

Agreed. Best way to better the CPD is to have people earn their promotions through brain power. Sometimes the easiest solution is the right solution. I understand there are heroic acts from officers who deserve additional perks for their bravery and skill of policing but remember this is what you signed up to be. It is part of the job. Policing is a thankless job so if you don't like it then get another job. With that being said, it is reasonable to allow one of those heroic officers to be taken care of in other ways. For example, transferring to a better unit/district, switching watches, be given free days off or any other incentives that'll show appreciation for their hard-earned efforts. None of this "given" bullshit because it's "not fair" because of gender and/or race. There are many perks that can be granted to officers but it certainly doesn't have to be a promotion. Do this the right way and morale will improve dramatically. CPD could get back on track and be a reputable and respectable police department like it once was.

----------------------------------------------------
In Chicago a honest politician is someone who when bought, stays bought!
Or, as Mike Royko said when Larry The Reformer Bloom was caught on tape taking bribes... "Chicago, a city so corrupt even the reformers are on the take."

What we need are people of integrity, people our children can look up to. People of color who were awarded a Rhodes Scholarship for example. People like Mel Reynolds who once said, again on tape, “Did I win the Lotto !!!???” when his 16 year old mistress said "she knew a 15 year old Catholic School Girl who might be interested in a threesome."
Can you imagine an FBI agent hearing that for the first time.... if he/she were "smart," they would have sold tickets for the first run. At $10 per tickets their Great Great Grandchildren would be set for life and the Bureau itself would not have to ask the taxpayers for a single dime until about 2142. But that was then, nowadays they'd blame Trump because his daughter was 15 years old once.

I have heard this rumors before about massive federal investigations of the CPD and nothing has ever come of them, from deputy chiefs and commanders selling drugs on the West Side, to payoffs for promotions and recently fixing the lieutenants exam to promote the superintendents wife and the wife of the First Deputy among others. I also have heard in the past of at least one person who made merit lieutenant by sleeping with deputy superintendents. The merit system, placed in the hands of the corrupt democratic party of Cook County just opened the door for more corruption.

Have to wonder.. will they sweep this mess under the rug? They had the evidence on the other cheaters, and look what happened. This may die a quiet death in the media. Remember, only certain guys get nailed to the cross.

Little Jimmy Sanchez in 010, guy never passed a promotion test in his life. Great Commander , just ask him. Remember boys and girls, given not earned. Somewhere down the line we as an organization have to promote smart educated people. As Albert Einstein once said " Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Little Jimmy, thank Fred Waller with that envelope. Sir you are promoted way past your abilities. This guy should be working at a car wash or pushing an elote cart down 26th street. Now go get your shine box Sanchez !!!!!

Be safe one and all

To the poster of this:
u really should do a little research before bashing Georgas. 99% of the dept have no clue the facts of the incidents yet seem to want to fry the gold star.
Trust me - Georgas is not the cause of the issues.

I didn't say little stevie was "the cause of the issues" just that "He's always been a treacherous, balless little punkass bitch" and it is as true as the sun rising in the east. He's a punk, wouldn't know police work if it bit him in the ass and will throw anyone under the bus to cover his fuckups. I don't need to do any research, I've seen the little bitch in action for years. It's no suprise he dumped a woman who wouldn't be one of his cowtowing sycophants.

You have to resign your position as a police officer to accept the promotion to sergeant. Did he actually work as a sergeant for a week or just go to training? I'm sure they can work special favors for certain people, or they "realized" he wasn't eligible for the promotion, which meant his acceptance of the promotion and his resignation didn't count. The rules are really flexible for the connected.

Hahaha. Whoever you are, love the Sanchez comment. All merit and dumb as hell. Never heard him put two complete sentences together not to mention his “guys” in GAngs did all his reporting. You still wondering why CPD is a mess.

100% wrong. He worked in 007 for a couple of weeks as a sergeant. Now back in his old Cush spot as a p.o. no discipline. Should have been fired for what he pulled. They do what they want when they want to. Don’t ever forget that.

OK dumbshit, you don't resign shit. A resignation would require a signature to complete. You do not sign anything remotely close to a resignation in pre-service training for any rank. And we pay you $80K?

That's Sgt. Dumbshit to you. And you don't pay me anything, but I make significantly more than $80K. If they ever get to the bottom of the list, you'll find out what you have to sign to accept a promotion to sergeant. Where did you gain your extensive knowledge of the promotional process? Pulling things straight out of your ass doesn't qualify as knowledge. A resignation would require a signature to complete? Gee, I never had to sign anything before. This signature thing seems pretty complicated. Call your union and ask them if you're right. Call the academy, where they train the promotees. I'm sure someone will have the answer for you. Maybe you could even ask your sergeant.
