Manpower Again

So the sheets we posted from 017, Second Watch  provoked a lot of discussion. Nine officers covering about 10 square miles, no wagon (unless 1724 is pulling double duty) and 1712 is a down car.

As far as we know, the worksheets are not standardized across the Department. They aren't always standardized across watches either. Each District uses whatever fits its needs and can change on the whim of the Commander, Watch Commander or even secretary.

But we'd like to see them. Especially the ones where manpower is ridiculously low, with down cars and such. Based on the comments and our own reading of crime stats/maps, we'd especially like to see the following District sheets, all three watches:
  • north side - 016, 017, 019, 020, 024
  • south side - 008, 009, 022
We request the following though:
  • black out the names and star numbers
  • highlight stuff everyone should notice - training, detail out of District, "security," down cars, etc
Help us point out what horseshit Rahm (and Daley), Special Ed (and McCompStat) and every aldercreature has been shoveling for the past eight years or more.

Looks like the Police Department like most city departments is a fucking mess when it comes to the allegedly elite class of the departments. Lot of waste, fraud and do nothing gigs. Chicago has money, just need to cut the fat but many pigs would scream like they used to do in the stockyards before the blade came down. It would take a leader who has job security to pull this off.

House mouses all listed on beat cars on work sheets. After roll call car goes down mouse back in house.
Another joke is when they count people assigned to the district, but detailed out to other units as part of the district’s manpower strength total. The names are there, but the bodies to man beat cars are missing.

I’d love to see the worksheets from 007, 011 and other “community” districts.
Those districts suck up an overwhelming proportion of CPD’s resources.

Wake up Sheeple. Start making some real noise.
Hold these asshole politicians, and CPD’s upper level mismanagement, feet to the fire.

Every district has anywhere from 6-15 “special” people who are hidden and tucked away.
Many more than that at HQ..... it’s really not hard to figure out the games being played.
I’m just a lowly retired P.O. but give me a week in each district to sniff around and ask questions and I guarantee you I’ll uncover all sorts of “special” people.

They would ask 2nd watch 014, if you wanted to work days in 016. This was about 5-6 years ago. They would ask for volunteers once or twice per month. I did it twice.they stopped doing it soon after. There were guys from 025 doing it too. 016 was busier than you think and the distance from job to job was ridiculous.

The topic is going to fuel some fodder for a couple legitimate, law and order mayoral candidates.
I’m sure the FakeNews is reading this site.
The Superintendent is a phony, corrupt, tainted, biased, and an unrelenting liar.
He deserves to be fired. He is not by any standard a leader.
Why is the Council protecting him?

Shut down the mismanaged HQ, Call Back and a few other miscellaneous tasks and duties Units. I’ll bet the Department can open 5 new Districts and cover all early and late Beat assignments citywide too.
Get the house mice of all ranks back on the streets already.

Too much City hall influence and political gerrymandering.
Silly ballot referendum on banning drink straws, plastic bags and weed revenue presented by a dysfunctional city council.
Create the position of Police Superintendent a term limited, subject to recall elected position too.

CWBchicago.com site posted a video of an violent armed assailant wresting the uniformed District police in 024. The closing statement was that the transport wagon didn’t show up of some 10 minutes after the violent armed assailant was subdued.

When will the civilized voting public get the message about Cook County’s Catch & Release Program for violent armed assailants?
Too many violent feral milling about all over out there in “so-called” quiet District to keep up with just the basic calls for service like alarms and car crashes.
As I referenced last week 016/017 voters overwhelmingly agree with RottenRahm, Prickwrinkle, Section8’Arena-45, Laurino-39 & KmmmFxxxup police reform methods.

Measure the strategic successes of Special Ed:
Shit in one hand and wish for manpower in the other and see which one fills up first.
Now go get the boss some activity.

more coppers working caps offices than the street on second watch

12/03/2018 02:06:00 PM

9.5 never hired additional officers. He merely replaced the officers leaving the police officer position via retirements, resignations, promotions, discharges and deaths. He never increased the strength of the department to achieve the pre-Year 2011 level. The words "replacements" and "additional" are synonymous only in 9.5's world. He kept repeating "additional" in his double-speak so it would be taken as fact. Apparently, it worked. He fooled you, and probably many others.

True. ET’s would also help out on calls if needed. Two wagon crews, units backing each other up, decent knowledgeable bosses (for the most part). No one called for a Sgt unless absolutely needed, not like the scared and clueless you have today. Going around the clock and the watch parties. There was a sense of cohesiveness. However, the promotions back then still lacked integrity, just as bad or worse today.

The bid people inside all over the city are not the problem with manpower . That’s the children complaining the anonymous people writing from behind a key broad. The problem is there are not people assigned evenly or to big districts where they should be, And playing games with assigned people on watches that don’t exist in the district. P/Os are needed in positions all over nothing has changed so get over that we need to have the right amount of people hired !!! Best thing to do is stop worrying about everyone else and what they are doing I guarantee the complainers are staying down on jobs and playing medical games just need to complain about something that they are jealous over .
