Lets start with all the exempts, captains, Lieutenants and Sgts who have rule 14s and still are on the street, yet we have POs in call back permanently stripped.
Must be speaking of the corrupt timekeeper giving a certain DIO overtime and receiving kickbacks from him. Or the commander helping him by giving him ghost overtime to help him with his divorce. Good ole 005
Lets start with the DIO who walks around like he's the Commanding Officer in charge. Remember he was the POS who had over 60k in OT within a 3 month period. Ok the problem is , why hadn't he been stripped and Varrick forced into retirement for stupidity because he signed Each TD slip? This is why moral sucks in 005th District. The shitheads get away with highway robbery and walk around like those thriving Lt. From 005 who cheated on the promotional exam. S Carter, P Wines, D Blanton. Cheaters, losers, lies, and all dumb as a box of fucking rocks. Fuck Eddie Fuck IAD
I know a retired detective that worked for thirty years with a sustained rule 14 violation, and still testifies in court, it means absolutely nothing...

Major scandal to hit SWAT, too many cover ups by CO and #2. CO has decided to fuck the team for the sake of his next promotion, so members of the team are going to fuck him back. This will make Carter's head explode, because just like the Lamb all he cares about is his next bump. Wait for it.
Two unnecessary deaths of young, great police officers Three or four police suicides Highest district violent crime rate on the south side One of the highest district crime rates in the city On ongoing criminal investigation of tax fraud by a former 005th District P.O. that implicates former 005th District Commander Kevin Johnson and his brother former 007th District commander Kenneth Johnson and numerous other supervisors, exempts and police officers. Yes. I'd say a rule 14 investigation is the least of the remedies the 005th District needs.
Burke and Madigan are at war. get ready for some plates moving. Burke let his constituients downed shoved his fingers in the eyes of the 14 ward when he did work for Trump./ Burke claims he is a cop and about the police but why are so many coppers getting hit with delayed medical bills being paid etc. Burke takes care of his people in the department but he will also end your career if you do not go along with his pressures and forced guidance which only benefits him.

It’s a captain

005 captain catching a rule 14? Does this have to do with his accidental shooting
I am a former CPD blue shirt who worked in 017, 019 and the Labor Affairs Unit. I got dumped after two years and was lucky enough to immediately go to the detail unit in a super sweet spot before being dumped to Fillmore in my fifth year of the job. What a shocker because my only beat time was in 17 and 19. I lasted two months on days before I decided to get another gig after almost having a nervous breakdown while working in the lock up. Commander Charles Ramsey pulled me into his office and suggested that I needed to serve our country and join the IRS, CIA or the FBI. That Fillmore was not a good place for my talents and aptitude. I couldn’t get in the latter three agencies but became a federal agent in an OIG outfit. Office of Inspector General for the folks not in the know. Joel was my classmate in the Class of 86-3. I later met Joel Howard when I worked a caper with the FBI. On good authority I’ll tell you Joel Howard is a stand up copper. He has worked for many years on the DEA Task Force and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JEDI Squad) where he was a trusted and respected supervisor. Commander Howard is the kind of enlightened boss, who if I were still on the job, I would get behind and courageously follow! I saw him in action on a multiple federal agency operation when he was assigned to the FBI/JTTF. He was greatly respected by the agents and coppers he led for his street savvy, ability to deliver the complex paperwork demanded by the federal system and knowing the streets of Chicago like the back of his hand. Trust me he will clean up any problems in 005. I do have to admit it’s weird because I never saw him in a uniform until he became a lieutenant and then an exempt.

Ugh. I heard about “multiple scandals” in SWAT for the last two years on this blog and nothing happens. What gives?
Whether you’re assigned to 005 or visiting, you immediately find out that nobody cares. Of course, the poor leadership starts from the Cmdr on down to the Captain, Lieutenants, and Sgt’s...
This poor leadership has enabled many to do the wrong things and has created a mess. So it’s no surprise we have a tremendous integrity problem in 005. 005 simply suks and I’m embarrassed to be there!
I welcome a huge change in 005 if that’s even possible, Ha I doubt it !!

The sad thing is IAD has no idea how the time clock and overtime system work, therefore they can’t have no idea when someone is being put in manually.
Anonymous @ 804pm. You're kidding right? Within 5 years on the job you were in Labor Affairs and another unnamed cushy unit? Then you go to Filmore to work lockup and have a nervous breakdown? In lockup? You have no legs to stand on about what a good cop is or isn't.
The DIO has submitted 18 hour overtime slips for shooting incidents. He's not responding to the scene or doing supp reports. I guess in order to drive a Maserati the money has to come from somewhere. $300,000/year sitting in the commander's office? Sign me up for that one.

Joel worked international terrorism cases. It's no way you're able to vouch for his paperwork working for OIG. I get it, Joel,is a stand up guy, but you don't have to lie.

Have you seen those on the street there?!? Those are some of the laziest dogs in this department. Sitting on jobs forever. No back up. If you are lucky to get back up. They get to the scene and stand around. Too bad you can’t get help from the tact teams, they are too busy on a tvb or false plate arrest.
@804pm, all I got from that story was you’re a giant puss puss who apparently had some clout. Almost had a mental break down just from working lock up in Filmore? Jesus H Christ man. I would keep that story and any others like it, to yourself.
Be a part of the change since everyone thinks 005 is so bad. It's only so much a beat officer can do with the poor leadership, lack of manpower and the depressing morale. 005 have many good officers that work hard every day because you don't have a choice, it's busy everyday all day. Sometimes you don't have a choice but to stay down on a job to get a break, otherwise, you will go from job to job 10 hours straight. It's unfortunate that the officers in 5 can't catch a break from conspiracies, suicides, deaths etc. etc. But instead of you all looking at the bigger picture continue to poke just like everyone else been doing.

About time something happened to the over-promoted in that shithole.
It is definitely not your daddy's 005.
005 needs an overhaul...
Let’s not forget the Witch of the South, Cynthia White! A rat, a mole, an angel of satan.
It’s the same plan they used to get Capone, tax evasion.
005 is the new 025.
I know a retired detective that worked for thirty years with a sustained rule 14 violation, and still testifies in court, it means absolutely nothing...
What's so bad about call back?
FYI....the commander in 005 worked in I.A.D for years as a sgt.

And every boss thats been there............
Is the female desk officer still wearing a baseball jersey and not taking reports?
She is the poster child for being FETAL
005 has always been filled with a whole lot of do nothings and will remain that way.
They are different.
