Arena Freezes Out Competition

Pay-to-Play is alive and well up north:
  • The owners of Hops and Barley set up a First Responder fundraiser for 45th Ward aldermanic candidate Jim Gardiner. They let him promote the event, then decided they want to stay "politically neutral" and cancelled.

Sadly it's no surprise as they are long time donors and friends of alderman john arena. Are they forced to “donate” to Arena to get permits? Sounds like Arena found out about the fundraiser and made them pull the plug. These same Aldermen call for yet another layer of police oversight, while they voted to have ZERO for themselves.
The alderasshole must be feeling some sort of heat if he's resorting to strong arming bars to stop hosting events for his competition. Just so everyone up north knows, we're told the owners of Hops and Barley also own Nite Caps (corrected) on Irving Park Road, so you might want to be careful where you spend your money - it ends up in Arena's pocket one way somehow.

Anyone know if the feds wired Arena's office or cell phone?

Now is the time for the 'perfect storm' so to speak for the DOJ.....they could do their quota 100 times over with the Chicago gang.... Then let the next lib President pardon time when they are old and feeble in ab0ut 20 years.

Speaking of alderthieves,

Now that lifetime underachiever Pat O'Connor now heads the Finance Committee, how long before his cousin Capt. M.R. a.k.a. Sybill, the cream of the clouted wanders over to the committee, or does
his new wife the house mouse?

aldercreature arena supports anthony prickwinkle for mayor too.

Fingers crossed that of the 9400+ calls recorded by the feds on burke's cell phone there are some with jagoff arena trying to get 'his beak wet.'

I don’t think the owner of Hops and Barley is the same owner of McNamaras. The owner if Hops is Albanian I believed. He also owns what WAS Nitecap on Irving and Lavergne. Now it’s turning into something else. The owner of McNamaras is an Irish guy who lived nearby. Unless he sold it to the Albanian.

Never heard of them owning McNamara's, but they definitely own Nite Cap(or whatever it's called now) at Irving and Lavergne. They have always been pretty "police friendly" over the years but may have been forced to make a deal with the devil to keep business running.smoothly.

Anybody having poor experiences at either establishment may want to write a review on Yelp.

From: Area North Political Crimes Unit
Subject: Hypocrisy and Mendacity

According to public sources Hops And Barley and McNamara's corporations have different corporate presidents. The first one is an Albanian name and the second one is an Irish name different than the name of the bar. The second one has donated $1,000.00 to Arena. The Hops and Barley is NOT POLITICALLY NEUTRAL as they had an event at their establishment, and it is on a poster that reads: "Join Committeeman John Arena And The 45th. Ward Independent Dems for PUB NIGHT at HOPS AND BARLEY 4359 N. Milwaukee Thur. Feb 22, 6 -8pm. www.45id.org". It appears to be 2018. This information was found on: arenafor45.com website.

Nationally the Democrats go after TV and radio programs that have a different political view other than theirs. They go after the sponsors of such programs and threaten them by telling them their constituents will boycott their products if they continue advertising on these programs. So the sponsors (companies) cave and pull their advertising and support of those programs.

Release the emails from his secretary, Leslie Perkins, and the lies they spewed about first responders and other city workers who disagreed with his project. Leslie Perkins and John need to explain what "coded language "is.

It’s been well known for years. Need to make campaign donations to Alderman in Chicago if you need any permits or favors. Chicago has always been a pay for play town.

McNamara has recently sold to Hops and Barly. The opening of Eris brewery destroyed their business. They still own Paddy Mac's on Pulaski north of Irving.

Nite Caps is reopening under an assumed name "Fountain Grill" the building is under construction yet the owners are all registered to vote from that address while residing in Glenview.

Nite Caps huh? Seem to remember a rape allegation there AFTER closing time years ago. Maybe that should be looked into.

Also some questionable voting records tied to the Hops & Barley/Nite Cap owners family members. 7 of them were registered to vote using the address of Nite Cap's upstairs apartments for the last 2 Chicago voting cycles while possibly residing in Glenview and also voting in the most recent mid-term with the Glenview address. See 45th Ward Insider Facebook page for details

Wouldn't it be 'just desserts, if LT. Garrido who's also a lawyer took this case Pro Bono to get back at his aldermanic nemesis.

Arena is protected by the prickwinkle machine and the progressive caucus . If you read the shit rag block club run by Jen sebella who is bff with the progressive caucus Klonsky pr person, the stories are stacked to illegals and uber progressive causes. This is all dictated by Klonsky to sebella. Their latest victory was peters made state senator. He is an out of control liberal who is into sanders and illegals and single payer health insurance. Formerly of pro illegal, pro BLM, pro felon Chicago Votes. Wake up to this nonsense.

And we all know what a pain in the Ass I am...but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

And assuming Arena wins this election...

How about:

Is the business that shaky or so loaded with probable code violations that it doesn’t want the heat or expense...from an AlderTHIEF?
Staying politically neutral after the fact speaks volumes.
Too chickenshit or too shady?

They (Hops) needs to take a lesson on licensed liquor establishments from the building owner (CFD) that housed the Double Door bar in Wicker Park...for what it’s worth.
Shortshanks appointed unhinged AlderThief Moreno, Chik-fil-A opponent, police impersonator and real estate speculator was caught on video tape shaking down the landlord, threatening to close down every aspect of income on the property if he didn’t sell DD the building at below market. He did and guess what...the property was eventually re-zoned and Alderthiefs donor tenant was evicted.
Nothing happened to Thief Moreno even thought the IG agreed with the building owner.
The building owner has a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the City now and wound up selling the building for $2 mil more than DD-Moreno Inc offered.

Sidebar: Moreno and Burke are city zoning committee members, both have ties to Belmont Bank, whose tied to many re-zoning deals including Dub Door and Aldermen loans, also tied to Eddie “Cook Co” Burke Jr. ....oh-oh my.

Yeah, it’s easier and a whole lot cheaper to stay ‘politically neutral’ when you’re in a bind.
FEDS need to look into how and how much when, Section8’Arena gets these Ward donors to “belly up” at the right time.
Who owns the paper on Hops real estate? Who has a vested interests in Section8’Arena’s re-zones lots?
Can of worms and the Democrats will have the Fed backed up for years.

Good Luck Ward 45. Get out and Vote.

Arena is under investigation for shakedowns of local businesses and fest promoters. Arena hates Burke because Burke temporarily blocked his 5150 project building. Burke knows all about Arenas illegal fundraising and extortion. He will give the G the icing on the cake for their case.
