I sure hope so, but I have heard this song before and in the end only one or two of the corrupt political class ever takes the hit. But, Solis and Burke, would be two of the most powerful politicians taken down in recent times, if this narrative continues to hold true.
The main culprits of decades of corruption in this city will go out unscathed as usual. It's like when you go to a nice restaurant and you order a nice meal the waiter brings out an appetizer and tells you your main dish is out.

Naperville police officer shot a 27-year-old man Wednesday night after he came at officers with a gun, officials said.
The man is listed in serious but stable condition at an area hospital, according to a Naperville Police Department news release. It was the third time in the department’s history a Naperville officer has shot someone, Deputy Chief Jason Arres said.
Officers were called to a commercial strip mall in the 1200 block of West Ogden Avenue about 10:30 p.m. on a report of a suspicious subject.
There they found the man in a parking lot holding a gun to his head, the release said. When officers attempted to speak to him, he pointed his weapon in their direction and came at them, prompting one of the officers to shoot him, the release said.
No one else was injured and the gun was recovered at the scene.
Police Chief Robert Marshall, speaking in a video statement, said he was thankful no Naperville police personnel or innocent civilians were injured. “And I am proud of our officers’ response in an extremely stressful situation,” he said.
Because the incident involved an officer, Marshall said the DuPage Major Crimes Task Force and DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office took over the investigation into the incident.
“Our department is cooperating fully with this investigation,” Marshall said in the video.

Absolutely Right!!! WGN said a "media" poll was taken and pretty much Tinklewinkle was neck and neck with Daley with Mendoza way out in like 5th place with 9% of the vote along with the other losers like McCarthy and Lightfoot. Chico is slowly moving up, however, an Interesting thing WGN did poll on was if there was a run-off between Mendoza and Tinklewinkle...Mendoza would run away a clear winner! Seems kinda weird that Mendoza is only 9% of the vote yet she would be the clear winner in a run-off...regardless thats at least a good sign that the witch of the west would loose. Thanks to 19th Ward alderman o’shea for his media comments regarding snitches should get their asses beat for cooperating with authorities. This from the guy who sided with BLM in the wake of the shooting at 111th & Troy. Talk about a “code of silence”, it appears o’shea and his fellow alderman engage in such behavior. In light of those comments, o’shea should do the right thing and resign from the city council and allow a law abiding person to represent the ward. Not cooperating with law enforcement is the main reason crime in this city is out of control.

Maybe because he's not independently wealthy and needs to conserve cash til the election gets closer.
I could care less about which candidate is the best public speaker or who has the best line of bullshit. I want a mayor who has our backs and supports our pensions. Joyce makes the most sense to me.
