Nice Shot Lady
- A man was shot to death Tuesday morning while attempting to rob a woman in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said.
About 5:45 a.m., the man, 19, approached the woman, 25, in the 400 block of West 103rd Street, displayed a weapon and tried to rob her, Chicago police said.
The woman, who was a concealed carry holder, took out her own weapon and fired one shot, striking him in the neck, police said.
The man left the scene and was found a block away, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, police said.
Notice how the Slum Times calls the offender "...the man, 19,..."? We're thinking there's a not-so-hidden agenda at work here. We also notice that they're specifically avoiding the term "victim" as an armed offender is anything but.
If we're counting correctly, the CCL body count is up to three (one dead, two wounded) and the cops killing the "just-turning-their-life-around" crowd is.....zero.
In the meantime, perhaps a GoFundMe site for buying Concealed Carriers some replacement ammo? And perhaps the FOP could pitch in with a gift certificate to one of the finer local gun ranges?

Is this the one where the offender took her gun after she shot him? To the concealed carriers out there: don't be afraid to keep shooting until the bad guy is no longer a threat. If he's trying to take your gun, he's a deadly threat. Shoot until he's not trying to take your gun anymore. Arming the bad guy with your gun is a good way to get killed. Other than that, nice shooting and thanks for the help. As more and more offenders are shot by their intended victims, we will see a decrease in the robberies and other violent crimes. If nothing else, at least the ones who are shot and killed won't be victimizing anyone else.

Our trusting morning news programs are already stating that the 19 y/o was a ‘teenager.’ Basic sentence construction 101: The deceased ‘victim’ is placed in the passive role and the woman was the ‘active’ one, as is, ‘A woman (active noun) shot and killed (active verb) a teenager (passive subject) who tried (passive verb) to rob her in the Fernwood neighborhood...
I'm happy the victim is unharmed. What happened to the weapons? Is the community helping with the investigation?
This woman is amazing. She had enough presence of mind, and incredible physical coordination and quickness to pull off that shot. Plus she she did only one shot versus multiple shots. Too bad for the offender. I’m kind of scared that the armed hustlers and lick hitters are now going to start upping the ante......

My take on this: she's not able to afford a car, or she would not be waiting for a bus at 0dark30. After shooting, she realizes the gun will be held in evidence. Now what? A replacement gun is expensive.

Because she's a victim of a forcible felony, a F/1 and she exercised her right to defend herself. Self defense triumph's all the lib bullshit. She is protected by law against Civil Actions because this appears to be a justified shooting during the commission of an Attempted Armed Robbery.
She doesn't need more ammo. She seems to have plenty left.
She should file a lawsuit against his estate for the emotional trauma he inflicted. Any benefits coming the way of his estate or his family would be diverted to the real victim.

They can sue you, the police, but a victim defending themselves during an att/armed robbery is protected from civil action. They can try and sue, but it will go no where fast. While Clerking at the Civic Center seen about three such cases, all were dismissed.
