Another CCL Success Story
- A concealed carry holder shot and critically wounded someone who approached him with a gun Monday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.
He was walking into an apartment alley about 4:15 p.m. when a man approached him in the 2500 block of South California Avenue and took out a handgun, Chicago police said.
The man, 25, took out his own gun and shot the 20-year-old in his head, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

Earlier I recall watching this on the news— the said the asshole was a “victim” ; personally I think “democRat voter” would had been suitable. Logically speaking, this waste of space was potentially out to rob one of your family members, brother, sister... I hope “was” is currently is the suitable term for this dude

As the police step back and are handcuffed from doing their job, there is no other way to say it. The people will protect theirselves.
Jeez, guy tried to do the right thing with a headshot but the docs are still gonna make sure the state has to pay for the offender's care for years. Maybe next time take the longer route to the ER.

the perp was still viable and still a threat.

self preservation.

Close range, firearm = 12' or less.

It's not a clip, skippy... unless you think citizens are gunning down their attackers with M1 Garands or something.
God bless this person for saving their lives or the lives of someone else they love, this should be a warning for people that read this blog,Make sure you get to the range as soon as you can make sure you take the classes make sure you get your concealed carry license and other bullshit the state makes you have get your gun keep it clean keep it loaded use it if you have to. The police are being neutered now the new mayor of the city of Chicago is doing it even more pretty soon the police will be walking around with cans of silly string to spray at the offenders police are being bastardized the criminals are being held up as honorable.

Police standards aren't even a joke, they're so pathetic. If you go to the range and blow a box of ammo through a target more than once per year, you're already doing more training than 90% of the law enforcement officers out there.

I meant that magazine thing that inserts into the
butt of the semi-auto handgun, like when you shoot
it, the empty shells eject out the side of the gun,
unless of course you are Dude Inc., hold the gun
(er. I mean firearm) sideways, and then watch the
casings jump up into the air, you know the kind the
cops mark with pre-numbered yellow cards at the site
of the shooting. Forensics, I think you call it.
Back in the day, even big city coroner's offices had
toxicology labs that were literally squeezed in behind the
public viewing cases (remember those, Dragnet?). Zip loc
bags full of grass were everywhere awaiting analysis.
Rx bottles with controlled drugs (Rx labels) taken from the
home of the deceased were also all over the place. And yes,
the fridge holding organ samples also held brown bag lunches
and Chinese takeout.
You know how you can tell if the boss has been eating chunky
peanut butter? The nose of the most favorite brown noser
looks like J.P. Morgan.
