With reference to new recruits Portland police chief Outlaw said "times have changed and what we look for in today’s police officer has evolved". Evolved? That's not the word I would use. Which means they have reduced the educational requirements so a GED is all it takes to be Portland cop. And they may also allow tattoos above the collar. Nothing says professionalism like a neck tat. Serious question: Since people are so against the boarder detention facilities, and they're costing so much, why don't we let the detainees say "screw it, send me back" and have a flight ship them back whenever they have enough go-backs to fill a plane. It would be cheaper than keeping them.

You know I watched the blackout coverage of NYC last night and they had the NYPD Comissioner speaking about the incident. Whether he’s a decent guy or not he certainly projected an air of professionalism, confidence and competence. He cited his past command positions, gave credit to the officers and spoke clearly like a professional law enforcement executive. Too bad we don’t have that here with the CPD. This guy puts the CPD Command staff to shame. We without a doubt possess the most incompetent leadership of any police department in the United States if not the Western Hemisphere. We are an embarrassment.

Pennsylvania just passed a bill allowing philly PD to bypass the DA ,who sounds a lot like Kim fox, and go right to the attorney generals office for prosecution. It’s a 2 year pilot program. Apparently their DA is also doing a lot of the same stuff, particularly doing a piss poor job of prosecuting weapons charges. He’s fighting for “racial justice” and they’re emptying their jails too. It’s fantastic, and I would say I wish it would happen here, but our attorney general is also a looney progressive in Kwame Raul. So it wouldn’t matter.
Odd, I don't see this in the news.... where are all the marches and vigils at now!?
It is a scorcher, the heat is on what will the body count to be how many extra people will be ventilated? And our new mayor who blames the police for everything what a disgrace you like the same people be in charge of the Chicago Police Department you never called your friend Kim who is the cook County states Attorney who is leading all of these people go free along with her friends that are judges we don’t even need a crook county state attorneys office anymore do we waste of money!

Sounds like dumbass Hunt faired quite well with only a year being the suggested punishment. Hell, from the sounds of it one could argue for unlawful restraint/wrongful imprisonment/kidnapping/civil rights violations for the fabricated assault arrest stunt.
This is sooooo much bigger than “A year for what basically amounts to a verbal beef?”.
And you do know that there’s a process afforded to us to argue and present evidence to have suggested/levied penalties reduced, right? There’s a grievance process that includes mediation or arbitration.
But Hunt is obviously a hand job too fucking stupid to realize he lucked out big time all things considered. He needs to take whatever suspension medicine Dr. Copa prescribes and explore his recovery options when appropriate. Perhaps all the other bigmouth, hard charging know-it-all pups who refuse to listen to the guidance of us salty old timers can pass the hat for Hunt to cover his rent/mortgage, car note, health insurance & miscellaneous expenses while he’s not drawing a salary.
I’ll assume Lee’s attorney has all of the aforementioned contained in the suit filed against Hunt and the Shitty. Hunt will be dinged punitively and it’ll be well deserved.

This story is interesting because this couple charged with smuggling and harboring illegals from Guatemala told the illegals once they entered the US to turn themselves in and they would then be released due to overcrowding. The key to that apparently was that they had to bring a child with them. The illegals were then told they would buy them a bus or plane ticket to Sioux City, Iowa where they would be given food, shelter, lined up with a job and so forth. This scumbag couple (Amy Francisco and Cristobal Francisco-Nicolas) was arrested on federal charges in San Diego after a girl was found wandering the streets in Sioux City on June 5th who claimed to have been raped and held captive after being smuggled by the pair. So just bring a child with you and they kick you loose?
This was a problem clear back in the 80's and amnesty was their hair-brained solution then as no politician had the balls to tell it like it is. And take a look at what you need to get a tourist visa into Mexico from someplace like the Philippines. It looks very much like the U.S. policy. The head of the Mexican government said that they will accept any deported aliens and give them a job and assistance with housing.
Let’s see how many people take up his offer? Free shit in US, work in Mexico? Tough choice.....
The tax payers are just plain stupid and indifferent as to what's going on at City Hall. Just wait until the tax assessments come in, special assessments, teacher contracts, cleaning up lead in the water, new sewer piping and the usual tax and spend expenses hit the streets.
