Good Riddance
- Dorothy Brown, the longtime clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, has decided not to seek re-election next year as she continues to be dogged by controversy and a growing number of challengers.
Brown’s decision not to run closes an almost 20-year chapter for the clerk who assumed office in December 2000.
Brown, 65, said Wednesday her decision to serve out her current term and retire from politics at the end of 2020 has nothing at all to do with the four Democratic challengers who have lined up against her.
And that there are any number of federal investigations into her office along with the recent seizure of her cell phone...that has nothing to do with it either.

Vote republican and vote for change. DemocRATS no longer for the working people.
Oh my god, just indict her already. She’s been under investigation since the Kennedy administration, for God’s sake.
I cant help thinking the Feebs are getting closer to Madigump. We can hope.
Dorothy Clown will stick around till the end of the year to pickup her generous pension and be able tp pay for a good criminal attorney. Be ashamed if she got indicted before the end of the year. She is such a valued employee and role model for thievery, deceit and deception. She's making us Chicago Proud.
Downtown Dorothy Brown, get the Fuck Out Of Town
As a child Dorothy Brown disgarded pennies in a trash can.
She was severely beaten and lectured. Since then she's
had a voracious appetite for wealth accumulation. At any
price.
Loot and Pillage the office for 20 years then leave with a fat pension. It's the Democratic way. ♠️
She isn't gone yet.
Dont let the door hit you in the ass!!!!! Bye Bye.
according to "Sunshine" an organization the keeps track of campaign funds (reported) Ms Brown has a debt of over $45K and cash on hand just over$5K hope she as enough in her shoe boxes or other investments to take care of what the future might bring
One down, so many more to go. We ain't the worst run state in the USA for nothing.
Hey, she gets to keep her campaign war chest.
How many million in that?
It took almost 20 years for Dorthy to realize she is not in Kansas anymore?
Oh darn.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
What a disgusting woman.
Are we even sure of that?
Looks like a very ugly old man with a shitty wig.
The prison assignment should give us a better idea.
Ranger Bob
vote republican you say?
republicans are a endangered species in crook county.
and not deserving of any kind of protection.
socialism here we come.
Just heard that Jesse White is leaving too. Maybe the Fed investigations are ending? It could be a color thing, Brown and White?
The state pension fund is going to take a big hit, White’s leaving means that his whole family has to eligible for pensions!
Slowly but surely the Trump Administration is lining up chicago and other illinois pols and then knocking em down.
Might he and they get all the way to Mad Again himself??

Right. She'll be recycled like that other guy
whose name escapes me because it happens
so frequently. The revolving door to the playground.
The assholes always rise to the top.
Joe "Gaffer" Biden don't even realize it's time
to go. In his mind he's still the V.P. and
Margaret Thatcher is still an item in Britian.
So, can everybody wear blue jeans now? Or can nobody wear them ever?

She will also have her Champaign funds. Why run and use that money
So far with a full CookmCounty pension...what that, 80% or 100% of last 4 years of salary?
Surprised she didn’t have a farewell fundraiser.
Lets hope the Fed puts a quick kibosh on those benefits with some quality Blago time to boot.
Shortly after DB took office I was hired as a consultant. Initially all was well - my work was respected and proving useful to the Clerk's office. Then things changed, a new "top aide" to DB was hired. Suddenly there were a number of obstacles in place to make the work more difficult. The word was that this was because we did not have any Black staff or consultants in our field of work. Then there came the demands for campaign contributions. We were told that the contributions were required in order to continue the work. We were even given a number that was the minimum amount required. We were also required to attend campaign fundraisers at Balmoral Park. This was also required attendance for all of the Clerk's office staff. We had to buy tickets and make sure that we were seen. According to the staff, they had to contribute to the campaign as well as buy tickets to the event.
I am glad that DB will be gone, but I wish that it had been done through an indictment or conviction.
Hopefully her retirement crib will be a jail cell.
Bug, bye. Take your pension $ and get yourself a few more wigs that don’t look like you purchased them from the Korean vendor at Madison and Pulaski.
Sounds like another case of P.I.S (Pre-Indictment-S**Ts).

Nooo it's because the Federal Gov'mint is gonna indict yo' ass
(please keep draining the swamp DOJ & FBI)
With gratitude,
Cook County
She WON'T be missed !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lock her up!
As an actual registered Republican in Cook County, I often think that it’s a remarkable coincidence, that every time I vote, I just happen to get a jury duty summons? They won’t let me get on a jury! I wonder why???
