He's 'important' ya know. And to make matters more difficult/confusing, those Police Districts are also in parts of other Wards.
As such, I fail to see how tracking down which Ward some 'newsworthy incident' occurred in, and then notifying the appropriate Alder-Creature has become part of the job description of a Police District Commander.
Even if notification was by a 'hand-shake agreement' can you imagine the world of shit a Commander would still be in if he accidentally called the WRONG Alder-asshole at 3:00 a.m., all because a shooting went down 50 feet into another Ward's boundary. Hell, even if the Commander is a certified dick, nobody should have to get a bunch of unwarranted bullshit from these bottom-feeding politicians.
So like SCC suggested, if Lopez wants to know of crime happening in his 15th Ward, he can always spend his own money of some Police Scanners for all the appropriate PD Districts. Or he can download the app for Broadcastify.com and listen to the calls in his Ward over his smart-phone.

Sounds more like the onset of a political attack on the commander of 007. Perhaps the alderserver has a personality conflict, or worse, a racist personal bias that he is attempting to make a public issue, and like many other factions of life; activist, news media and other politicians is going to try and spin the truth through a public shaming attempt. Just another form of police bashing. Alderservers are nothing. They do not need to know, and by order are not on the mandated notification list. They are self-important, and think they are far more vital than they really are. In order to take some flack off of each district commnader, and only for that reason, a simple email from the sdsc room can be sent to the ward office email account. The email should state: A person was shot-- or at least one person was shot --within your area of interest, in the xxxx block of Somewhere. Nothing more. They are not entitled to any info, but certainly no more than that. No victim/offender info, no names, dob, injuries etc. A vague address to show it's in their political boundary. And for sure, no attaching any documents as they want. They can FOIA any document just like everyone else if they choose or have that much of a "vested interest".

Well since the alderman's office is in charge of disbursing services that are funded by the city to the alderman, then that leaves the police out. Our budget is direct from city hall and not your office. As someone already mentioned "stay in your lane", we do not work for you sir, and the commander does not answer to you. The alderman getting involved in police operations....reminds me of when former 44th Ward Alderman Bernie Hanson used to ride around the 19th and 23rd district trolling for whores in his Lincoln with the WARD44 license plate. Story had it that Bernie had his wallet stolen when his pants were down around his ankles and one of the local ladies lifted it while slobbering on his meat stick. He'd march into the 019th district desk with the whore in tow and bark to the desk personnel, "Lock her up". To which the desk folks would hand him a case report, an arrest report and a set of complaints. This shit went on for a couple weeks until the tac team stopped his car with his kid driving it and found some illegal substances. Back then we hoped they'd Article 36 his Lincoln. Just never happened. Fast forward to Alderman Lopez who spends his leisure hours with his husband. Yeah, times have changed.

unfair property tax , tax should be the same for all single family homes that occupy the same square footage of land . Example 25x125 ft lot $3,000 a year , under 30x125 ft lot $3300 , over 30 under 35x125ft lot $4,000 , under 40ft lot $4300
40-45x125 Ft lot $5,000 and keep increasing price . We all pay for Garbage collection Thank you Rahm . We all pay triple for water from years prior to 2011 , again thank you rahm , street cleaning , street lights , police , fire is what we are paying for and it should be equal . 911 tax by most that never use it , ones using it have free phones from Obama .
