Injustice
- A West Side man who was charged with murdering 25-year-old Kevin O’Malley during a botched robbery in Lakeview went on trial this week. And many people are not happy with the outcome.
Jurors declined to convict Kristopher Pitts of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of O’Malley under the Red Line tracks on Oakdale Avenue early on May 30, 2015. Jurors also declined to convict him of second-degree murder. Instead, they found Pitts guilty of three counts of involuntary manslaughter, charges that carry prison sentences of just two to five years each.
Before the trial commenced on Monday, prosecutors dropped 14 felony counts that had been approved by a grand jury.
Honing allegations before trial is not unusual. But prosecutors put all of their eggs in the murder case. Tossed were five felony gun charges, three felony armed robbery charges, and six additional murder counts. So, jurors never had an opportunity to consider the gun and robbery aspects of the alleged crime. Only three remaining murder counts were on the table.
So shooting someone - point blank in the chest - twice!! - is now involuntary. A-fucking-mazing.

This is comparable to the Kate Steinle case in San Francisco. She was shot and killed by five times deported illegal alien Jose Inez Garcia Zarate and she died in her father’s arms. The jury threw out the murder and manslaughter charges and convicted on the possession of the gun which was just dismissed by last week by a California appears court. Are you starting to see a pattern here on what our criminal justice system is turning into?

This may seem unrelated, but last night I returned from a long weekend trip to Budapest. (Strongly urging you to visit - such a beautiful city.)

I haven't been following this case, but it's entirely possible that the prosecutor trying this case suffers from rectocranial inversion. I'm a civilian and haven't been in court very often but this seems to be the defining characteristic of the Cook County States Attorney's Office.
Is anybody really surprised? Any community members on the jury could careless about murder, unless it’s someone bringing money or protection to the family. The lake-front liberals feel the killer is a victim of society and deserves a second chance. Moral of the story, get of this shithole and add years to your life.

I watched that movie 16 shots. Apparently, many of your south side residents don't have any issue with a guy on PCP that is carrying a knife. Heck, in their view, he is totally innocent. When people in certain areas are a complete 180 off of normal, civilized thinking, we have a serious problem that can only be fixed with Labor Brigades, re-education camps and isolation. Make them work until they pay their debts to others and to society. Make them productive. If they suddenly come around,teach them a trade, let them return to society a productive member to raise their family. A few winters living in a tent will bring about a whole new perspective. This is scary shit - I have lived in Cook my who life and these stories are getting more outlandish and unbelievable. WTF - I work downtown and commute from the burbs but these stories keep me from bringing my family to river north to r the City to dine or entertainment. The burbs have been getting ever increasing amounts of “community members” from Shitcago. I see them walking in the afternoon up and down the main thoroughfares in the afternoon and I just think to myself “don’t you have or want a job?” Even a menial job - I did one for 10 years. Add in the Middle East migrants who also engage in high rates of crime and all I can say is ... this City, County and State are going into the shitter fast. Seems to not faze some mother f@&@rs who keep voting in these assholes who want (1) restorative justice (2) redistribution and (3) large swags of illegal aliens from violent counties (no question asked). Testimony at trial was that victim and others were buying drugs from Pitts after leaving a bar. Victim only had a few bucks on him. Victim offers phone instead of cash and gives Pitts the code to unlock it. Pitts leaves, victim pursues him and starts beating the crap out of him. Pitts pulls the gun and shoots in “self defense.” Jury believed the testimony. Pitts did know the code to unlock the phone.

Oh yea? Years ago, I had an issue the fop was taking to arbitration, took years to finally get there. By that time I had been promoted via score. Aguilar threw the issue out & me uner the bus making the point moot. Boo Hoo. I was wronged & still entitled to compensation; yet this moron, i.e. Aguilar, did nothing! Get rid of him! We did not vote for him. Sorry Karma is a bitch!
