Just forward all those incidents a weapon is drawn to the well know law firms for review... don’t even make it difficult for lawyers anymore
This should have been at the CPD booth at the IACP conference. When taking the upcoming Sgts test this will knock out no less than four questions.
The most deadly of all possible forces known to mankind is the mind poop of democrat political party concoctions.
No other force can compare in toxicity.
Mutha fucka!!!
Now I can't get that damn tune, Y M C A, out of my head!!!!
There needs to be a stick figure scene of the police peeling away from the scene of any situation where you might have to display your weapon or in other words “feets don’t fail me now”.
There are a lot of issues with this pointing notification procedure. The FOP screwed up big. You needed to be a voice and you sat on the sideline because a Madigan promised you that you would be part of the process. It is not just a notification. There are multiple levels of documentation and if you log into clearnet there is already a "pointing" tab. This is all going to be recorded for the consent decree and aclu.
Just give them what they want.
Do the job the way you were trained to do the job. The gold standard on this job has always been common sense. Nobody can tell you what you saw or what you heard and how you reacted. I would rather be above ground than worried about whether or not I followed some of the new protocols. If you get spanked for a couple of days their are plenty of ways to get it back times ten. Stay safe all.
The three nos are like checked swings in baseball. However, when under review they will probably be called strikes. Be careful.
Did weezie come out with that official drawing?
Rumor has it that graphic was taped to the Tahoe dashboard
Just saw a story about the Sheriff in the county I live (not Illinois) The sheriff fired two officers for illegally searching a car. The driver was arrested for illegally possessing a firearm and possession of meth. Keep running and gunning folks, it’s only a matter of time until this lunacy works its way everywhere
Nobody can tell you what you saw or heard!!!!! You’re a complete moron. Tell that to all the people involved in the McDonald case. Reading this blog really scares me.
If you even have a thought about drawing weapon call zone then wait the 15-20 minutes for them to respond. By then any threat would be long over and it will not cost you your career.
Say somebody's lyin' and you know they lyin'.
Can you shoot him?
"...if you get spanked for a couple of days..."
Excuse me. I will determine who gets spanked around here. Strict SpankDaddy requirements must be met.
Cease and Desist...duly noted.
However...
first, I identify as a stick person, who by 20% management discretion, is tasked with updating antiquated colonial 20th Century General Orders and the like, find this depiction offensive and hurtful.
Secondly, I noticed that the Winter hatband is not being worn.
Chicago will be implementing an innovative 2-part plan to discourage Officers from use of force:
The Fife System is a time-honored process, wherby the Officer carries an unloaded pistol in the holster. Should need arise, the Officer retains a single round of ammunition in their breast pocket. The Fife System has been slowed by the adaptaion of semiautos/magazines, but more effective than ever against intentional discharge. This process will help by " nipping it in the bud".
The second component is the Pistola Tracker 2000. This is a costly, delicate component that weighs a mere 3 pounds, attaches to each Officer's sidearm and tracks when the gun is unholstered. The battery life on these units is 2 hours and not replacable.
City managers are in Hawaii currently discussing terms of the contract.
Picture is missing a street light.
Remember what mommy said,”it is not polite to point”
Getting back to the Little Village shooting...
The Daily Mail did a better job covering the story.
Actual, old-fashioned photographs. What must they think
in the UK?
Here's a puzzle for you: how does that pistol chart work
when gang members are in costume, carrying bags, in
fading light going into darkness? The "skull flags" on every
lamppost don't help either. Gives the impression Chicago is
the Devil's Playground. Then you have a night shot of the
fresh snow on the yellow awning of the "Live Fresh Chicken"
store. A visibly beat up & worn down EJ is shown giving a
press conference. (What is that 'bruise' above his right
temple?). This story should do wonders for tourism, the
kind where you go off-peak to experience the actual culture
of the foreign country.
The COPA-DOPA Quarterbacks who think they run the
Department should watch the DM video and see if they
can make the right choice as to who has a weapon and
should you point the pistol or not. If CPD gave training
films and videos everyone of these yahoos would flunk
the test (as in "You're DEAD now, buddy. Too late.")
Last night I heard a beat come over the air with a “pointing incident” to the dispatcher. The dispatcher then radio’s this beats sergeant, asking him if he copied. The sergeant then has the beat come in to see him. Don’t remember learning these steps in the “Pointing” training video.

Nobody can tell you what you saw or heard?? You may be right but the activists who have never been the police, they will tell you what you should have done. The city will hang you based on public opinion. Thats where its changed brother. Has nothing to do with state law and dept policy.
Just start running over these armed scumbags and call it an unavoidable collision. It seems that crashing patrol units is no big deal.
Keep running with lights and sire every time granny Effie farts and maybe you’ll get a few scumbags, we’ll, unless it’s some innocent family or fellow officer.
Don't foot chase, don't car chase, don't stop anyone, don't pull out your firearm. Just answer the radio and go to your calls. Stay safe and God Bless!
Kinda like under Obama when drone operators had
the target in the sights then had to wait for Top Level
permission to do the kill. Obama was a surgial strike
operator picking & choosing the kills. Nothing like
confidence in the judgement of the front line troops.
Video Obama sat in air conditioning.
Fitting image of the Chicago Police Department...
We Are All Replaceable
I laugh at the CLOWNS doing the ACLU ISR's
ISR's a two page report invented by the ACLU, use to be called a FIELD CONTACT CARD, smaller than a post card. Arrest on signed complaints. Court sergeant to handle!
CPD rather have the officers shot, killed, or hurt, rather than the officers pointing or firing their firearms!
To point or not to point...that is the big question????
Clear Applications has a new trr style pointing report application. So far, only force review has been using it to test the system. Look for another policy change coming soon.
