A couple of questions that deserve answers:
- did 025 give up a sergeant and ten officers the night of the party?
We're just attempting to point out the blatant stupidity here where resources are shifted to one location (011), leaving the original location (025) unable to effectively respond to a massive party involving hundreds of people.
Then there's the entire issue of bars are closed, but liquor stores aren't. Mom and Pop shops are closed, but big box stores that can hold hundreds of people are open for business. Weed is essential?
No wonder people are getting annoyed, antsy and fed up.

- Lightfoot says the house party goes against everything they’ve been talking about. YET, it’s ok for the department to have mandatory safety checks every night where officers are forced to get within a foot of drivers and handle their license and other paperwork. Doesn’t that go against everything too?

I emailed alderman Gardiner's office in Jefferson Park last week regarding the pulling of police from my district and other districts to patrol the west and south sides. I was emailed back by a staffer who said he will pass my email along. Don't expect to receive a response.

Are you forgetting who is writing these rules? Liberal idiots who like making up rules without regard as to the effectiveness of the rule. An example from the the new State of IL Golf Rules:
The course can't rent a motorized golf cart unless the golfer has some sort of underlying condition that prevents them from walking. I thought people with underlying conditions were most at risk. So it's too risky to rent a cart to a healthy person but not to a high risk person? Additionally, personally owned motorized golf carts are banned as are course owned manual push carts. However personally owned push carts are okay. There must be some logic to this mess.

Started my renewal in early december, got it back in the mail 4 months later.

Anybody else look at the State Comptrollers website showing daily COVID 19 payments. Just trying to figure out why a Cyber Security Company (SHAMBLISS Security LLC) was paid over 17,000,000.00 for PPE. Where the Hell are my test results from Roseland Hospital? I’ve had a cough & congestion the past few days and maybe it’s nothing but now I’d like to get a test and actually find out if I have it. I know if I go somewhere else one or the other test likely won’t get paid for by insurance because I’m doing the same test twice. I should’ve known better to trust anything that this city has coordinated. They’re either intentionally hiding something from us for the city or they are just hacks.

How about now when a Officer is hospitalized from the job related virus does the Department assist the spouse or is the Officer just a name in the CO book? That Officer has placed him or her in harm's way for the City of Chicago.

Not the original poster, but allow me to attempt to clarify. The dispensaries are open because they provide an essential service, dispensing medical marijuana products to those with a prescription. Since they're open anyway, they can sell recreational marijuana if they have any left. Many stores (Target, walmart, Costco, and even Walgreens) are open and sell non-essential items along with the essentials. Should they be forced to close because you can buy items in those stores that are deemed non-essential?

017 has been short of sgts for years as well as manpower. It is common for one sgt there to log the whole watch and sometimes a tac team. It's been going on for years and they know about it, they just don't give a fuck.

as an old retired officer, I can tell you the department, as an organization, never cared about its officers. Sometimes an individual boss has, but the city? Nope. Crappy facilities, junk cars and lack or equipment, the last department in the country to be supplied with updated equipment, political patronage leadership. rigged promotion exams, retribution from the superintendent over political reasons, and I could go on and on. And, from reading this blog, it is obvious nothing has changed in decades.
