So someone remembers that the Constitution is there to restrict government:
- A judge has ruled against Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, issuing a restraining order over the extension of the state’s stay-at-home order, putting the statewide plan in jeopardy.
Clay County Circuit Court Judge Michael McHaney ruled against Pritzker's order, granting a restraining order to temporarily block the stay-at-home restrictions set to take effect Friday, according to local reports.

The ruling comes after Republican State Rep. Darren Bailey of Xenia filed a lawsuit in Clay County Circuit Court claiming Pritzker has exceeded his authority and is violating the civil rights of the state’s residents. Pritzker on Thursday extended his stay-at-home order through May 30 as the highly contagious COVID-19 continued to infect thousands in the state.
"Enough is enough!" Bailey said in a statement. "I filed this lawsuit on behalf of myself and my constituents who are ready to go back to work and resume a normal life.”
Pritzker said he plans to issue new public health directives until the suit is resolved.

- After the announcement from Governor Whitmer that she is going to extend the stay at home order in Michigan until May 15th, lawmakers in the state have had enough.
A group of Michigan lawmakers from both chambers are fed up and they are stepping in to curb the totalitarian governor. When Whitmer found out and was asked about lawmakers’ plans she sounded like Joseph Stalin.
There are two ways Republicans are attacking Whitmer, first, they are going to pass bills that limit her authority, which would require her signature. “I’m not going to sign any bill that takes authority away from me,” she gasps.
- A circuit court judge in Lynchburg, Virginia has overturned a portion of Gov. Ralph Northam’s executive order that declared indoor gun ranges “places of amusement” that are non-essential and must shut down during his state of emergency, at least at it applies to the Lynchburg range that brought the lawsuit. Judge F. Patrick Yeatts declared in an order on Monday that Northam’s actions are likely to have exceeded his constitutional authority, and declared that the portion of the governor’s executive order on essential businesses that deals with indoor ranges not be enforced against SafeSide Lynchburg while the litigation continues.
Yeatts noted in his decision that the Virginia state constitution declares that “the body of the people, trained to arms is the proper, natural safe defense of a free state.” Since that is the case, clearly the right to bear arms includes the right to train with them. Since gun ranges provide a place where that training can take place, they are protected under the right to keep and bear arms.

do not bet a lot of money. This is a state court case not federal, so it will not hit the 7th circuit. The governor does not have the authority to make laws, only enforce what the legislators pass, and the law that gave JB the emergency authority expired weeks ago.

The only way a detective is investigating is if the state forwards a Hotline card to the YOUTH division. I believe these types of cases would fall under the CCAC center if they are teacher/student. There is no way the CCAC center has enough manpower to have handled that many. My guess is that those complaints never even get forwarded to the Chicago Police department unless the parent/guardian themselves is actually initiating the report with CPD. I worked abuse cases over a decade ago & I never got any type of answer as to why there was a gap in forwarding info to the police department. Teachers, principals, school staff etc are all mandated reporters. There isn’t always an issue with the mandated report. The issue is with DCFS not always forwarding the info to or the local police report to ensure a criminal investigation is
opened.
My guess, it’s only a guess, is that DCFS & CPS have some under the table protocol going to not inform CPD when there is an allegation involving CPS staff and a student.
Think this through - In attempting to enforce this legally un-enforceable stay-at-home order, you tell a crowd to disperse. They refuse. Now what? Don't be in that situation. Stay safe.

The hot weather will already create issues in buildings with air conditioning, because it is a documented fact that this type of disease can be easily spread via air conditioning. Nursing homes will be devastated, they should check the nursing homes in warmer climates to verify the correlation with huge outbreaks in nursing homes and the use of AC. Those of you who served on navy ships already know how quickly diseases spread because of the HVAC systems.
I'm hearing a lot of crap about guys working private security at the doors of stores requiring masks. Who is gonna defend them against suits when they have to "get personal" over the issue and it turns out to be an unconstitutional law?

Not sure it will fly as unconstitutional in a business. Business owners have a right to say how a customer can be attired. A bit of advice on masks when out shopping, etc. Nowhere do they specify what they have to be made from or how they need to be made, just that you have to wear one. Every single perp in the system was a product of CPS, or some other public school system. Public schools are little more than unlicensed orphanages.
In Jasper county, the cases were in a nursing home with people that pre existing conditions. Not healthy people out wandering around.

In 1967 the Hong Kong flu (another priceless gift from China) killed 100,000 in the US and over1,000,000 world wide. The world economy didn’t shut down at all barley a blip in the grand scheme of things. Same clue strain had hit us ten years earlier with about the same outcomes. What’s different now is the 24-7 news cycle and the fear monger it that causes. Yes it is serious but would have been easily contained without the economy cratered. All you really needed to do was protect the most vulnerable, ole and immune compermized individuals. Yes some younger might get sick but they will recover just like they do from a regular flu strain, this would insure that the herd immunity would begin. But know the gen X’s and millinials began to panic when looking at the totally inflated models of death and destruction.
