Second Arrest in CTA Murder
- The second man charged with allegedly pushing a former marine into a moving Red Line train last week was free on bail at the time of the deadly attack.
Fajour Hodges, 19, was arrested about 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the 5000-block of South Wentworth Avenue, Chicago police said. He's charged with one count of first-degree murder.
Hodges, of Humboldt Park, was taken into custody two days after a warrant was issued for his arrest in the April 7 death of 29-year-old Mamadou Balde, police said.
And guess what his record looks like?
- At the time of the attack, Hodges was free on bail while awaiting trial on a pair of felony charges, court records show. That case stemmed from a Sept. 22 theft arrest in the CPD's 18th District, which includes the Jackson Red Line stop where Balde was killed.
Not just one felony.....he was on bail for two, and the Evans/Crimesha enterprise lets him out to kill a veteran Marine.

I don't know what voters do about them. But citizens should expect to have to defend themselves and prepare accordingly.
We need more transparency and accountability from these judges and prosecutors. The public should be able to immediately access which judge set the bail and which states attorneys are involved in the process. They should be wearing BWC ‘s during these proceedings so that when these people commit further heinous acts on the public they can be pulled up and played for all to see.

What we need as law enforcement officers is for the law abiding citizens to march and protect in the streets and start demanding that the police are allowed to do their jobs without fear of getting fired for doing the job we signed up to do.
