Boston Chief Points Out the Obvious
- One man was killed and two others were injured in a triple shooting Sunday night in Roxbury amid an uptick in gun violence during the coronavirus pandemic, authorities said. Police responded to 52 Kensington Park shortly before 10:40 p.m. after hearing gunshots and receiving a report of a person shot, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said during a late night press conference.

Gross thanked community members who called 911, which allowed police to respond to the shooting, arrive in “such a timely manner” and potentially save the other two victims’ lives, he said.
He also rebuked the violence during the COVID-19 outbreak, arguing that violent offenders should not be released from prison regardless of the health risks posed by staying incarcerated.
“People who have been locked up for violent offenses and carrying a firearm should not be released on personals, and I could care less if they get sick in jail or not,” Gross said. "They are a danger to the community, and they’re sending the wrong mentality.”
How come this guy didn't come here to run the CPD? Oh yeah, sorry, can't be pointing out the obvious.

A buddy of mine that worked Corrections told me that he would never work a Supermax; no matter how 'safe' they would seem, sooner or later budgets would be cut and the dangers to CO's would be unmanageable. Seems that putting humans in solitary confinement leads to insanity, usually of a violent nature. Now add weapon; how could that go wrong?

If they get sick in jail maybe they die in jail and the world would be a better place. Why is that so hard for liberals to understand? Just curious. What is “gun violence”? I’ve never seen a gun jump up by itself and cause violence.

I don't remember when, but one day "gun violence" replaced "gang violence". ☹️
Maybe this occurred when "Chicago Public School Student" was replaced by "honor student". 😔
Agree that "Gun violence" is a BS term, but "gang violence" has been replaced, moreso in the communernity than in the barrio, by "social media beef violence".
After The Groot fires Out of Town Brown, perhaps we seek External Candidates from Boston PD, BPD thinks this way. ( Actually, a lot think this way, but who has the Moral Courage to publicaly say so?)
