- A former Elgin police officer who was serving a life sentence at Stateville Correctional Center for a double murder and rape 38 year ago was just given a medical furlough, possibly because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Herschel Glenn was a police officer, but off duty, when he shot and killed a young Streamwood couple — James Wright and Lillian Final — at Lords Park in Elgin, and raped the woman, in May 1982.
He was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
His office has refused media inquiries. It's too bad he isn't up for election this year, but Illinois should make democrats pay across the board.

Horrible, horrible - the parents and siblings watched the trial with no doubt of guilt. Murdered and rapped two young people 18 and 20 who were dating. He left his wallet at one scene by the body, someone caught his license plate and also ID him. He rapped the young lady and had her public hairs in his underwear, they had his seamen in her. They arrested him and got his gun from his residence that matched the bullets in their bodies. He never denied doing it and put on an insanity defense giving reasons why he did it. Unbelievable!
