The map needs slight editing. The Garfield Ridge precincts 1st, 4th, 9th and 24th of the 14th ward voted overwhelming for O’Brien.

Can anyone explain why the boundary lines are so jacked up? Especially in the 14th and 23rd wards. They intertwine in two neighborhoods.
Is there a way to separate the East Side neighborhood from the 10th ward? I find it hard to believe that all those white and latino city workers who live on the East Side actually voted for Foxx. That map can't be correct.
I laughed when a BLM lawn sign planting suburbanite acquaintance seemed shocked that 300-400 people would be partying nightly during the summer in any given public housing project. She was even more shocked that the police couldn’t do anything about it. You do not have to claim that you are seperated. It was determined years ago that the city can force the employee to live in the city, but they cannot force his/her family to do so. As long as your official residence is in the city and on the days that you work you sleep in the city, you can sleep in your suburban home on your days off and your family can live in the suburban home. But, not many can afford that arrangement, hence the hangup. So, renting an apartment with 3-4 other officers would be a solution.

This is political gerrymandering to keep certain candidates in/out. Several years ago, in the 45th Ward, Asshole Arena won by 29 votes. They re-drew the ward boundaries, going further south and east, taking in more Hispanic areas, and the rematch of the Arena-Garrido race wasn’t even close, because Arena’s voting base was expanded, while the city worker-heavy north end, did not. They redrew ward boundaries after Sposato won his first term, and put his residence in a different ward. He had to move. They use the excuse of shifting populations, but it’s all BS.
Must be a lot of Confederate statues in Chicago.
New section 8 housing will fix those broken red areas. Plans now being drawn up. Plans call for City will use Eminent Domain when necessary. No area will be protected. Get ready Wildwood area your first target area after a keen sworn in.

A little unknown fact.......Deputy Chiefs and higher do NOT have GPS on their cars. Heard this tidbit right out of a Deputy Chief's mouth.
Main reason why she was re-elected..........idiots voted straight party because this is Chicago and it must be Democratic. I know of a few CFD who are hard "Kennedy Democrats" and hated our President. This was not a vote for Biden, rather a vote against Trump.
