Dominos Start to Tumble

Groot's latest lies claim their first victim - the head of the Law Department:

  • Chicago’s top lawyer, Mark Flessner, has resigned over the Anjanette Young raid.

Flessner sent law department employees a brief email announcing his resignation, the mayor’s office confirmed.

In a statement issued Sunday afternoon, Lightfoot said she accepted Flessner’s resignation “effective immediately” and said she was committed to a “full review of everything that occurred surrounding this incident, will take corrective action where appropriate, and will hold people accountable.”

Don't feel to sorry for this guy though:

  • The mayor had previously worked with Flessner at the U.S. attorney’s office for Northern Illinois. Lightfoot stood by Flessner earlier in her term, when it became public that Flessner had claimed two primary residences — one in Chicago and another in Naperville — and incorrectly received homestead tax exemptions for both.

In Chicago, you're only held accountable some of the time.

Officers and sergeant will be stripped shortly.

There always has to be a fall guy when the higher up corrupt individuals get caught in lies. He knew this day would come because Lori was bound to step in shit. She has succeeded many times already in doing that. Hell even Jake from State Farm commercials have the old wink wink nod nod hint of corruption in them now. Real nice. I switched to Liberty Mutual.

The whole residency thing is bullshit as insiders never get nabbed by Joe Ferguson or the CPS OIG, especially now that insider William Fletcher is in charge at CPS.

Why wasn't Lori's boy fired? Because he's a connected insider just like former CPS Senior Vice President of Finance Ronald DeNard. (FYI: CPS didn't have a President of Finance)

DeNard was a Claypool hire and claimed Homestead (homeowner's) exemptions on two homes (Homewood Floosmoor. Chicago)

DeNard's CPS salary = $235,000 and another $50,000 in benefits.

Who determines if CPS residency violators should be investigated? I would say Fletcher, but, that's joke as he answers to the head of CPS Law Joseph Moriarty.

Is it the head of CPS Talent Matthew Lyons, part of the Clayppol hires? Nope, he does what Moriarty says and he's still hiring security guards without prior security or work experience.

Is it Mary Ernesti, CPS head of Employee Engagement (OEE)? She's afraid of her shadow and does what Moriarty wants too.

Nope, it's Moriarty, the meanest leprechaun at CPS. Joe is connected to Chicago's version of the Boston mob in the movie "The Departed."

It's pretty easy to confirm many CPS teachers and staffers are in violation of their residency policy. BGA teacher salary database includes their initial CPS hire date. While, each IL county assessor can show proof of which teachers and staffers received exemptions outside Chicago.

More bullsit will come out on January 3, 2020 and the day the CPS OIG's annual report comes out. You'll read about 10-12 CPS violators and that's it. These are the yearly sacrificial lambs thrown out by the CPS OIG's office. Those violators represent only 8% of the residency complaints.

I’m sorry, but the officers should be stripped in my opinion.

Even though it’s unprofessional- I understand that some time the wrong door gets hit.
It wasn’t necessarily bad information or no probable cause- sounds like they may have just hit the wrong door.
Shouldn’t happen, but occasionally does.

However, hitting the wrong door- as inexcusable as it is, can often be taken care of through a bit of humility and kindness.
I don’t think they should be stripped for hitting the wrong door, I think they should be stripped for their lack of respect for the woman in the home.
She was not doing anything wrong, and was dehumanized and demeaned for far too long after everyone had realized they screwed up.

Get a clue- you guys are all on camera! You basically recorded yourself being huge dickheads, and basically violating this poor woman’s civil rights.

Bad doors occasionally happen and can be excused in a small lawsuit.
Intentionally treating people disrespectfully and poorly should not ever happen, and they deserve to get spanked good and hard. Especially the sergeant who was in charge on scene.

Stripped or just caught with their pants down? Really though, the lady, who is the real victim, got a raw deal. I'm sure she will be well compensated as it should be.

As for snakes like Groot? History tells us that rat bastard mayors have a pretty good track record avoiding serious consequences. Lets hope she breaks that trend.

Definitely agree the lady needs to be compensated total embarrassment to the Chicago Police Department into that woman! As a police officer it embarrass all of us, the city will pay whoever the asshole was that pulled that warrant on a confidential informant information that person needs to be held liable also financially not all the coppers that were there just that person and anyone else involved that knew about it without checking first. When serving a warrant we all know you make sure your target is there you have the right address this is happened more than once with overzealous skinny Jean wearing wrangler driving young coppers that are hungry and believe they are super coppers, all the boss will notice me look at me look at me no asshole look at you now!

Wrong doors do get hit time to time, it’s the nature of the beast when dealing with dude. It’s not as big as the media portrays it. The city compensates the resident, fixes the door and done. The warrant is written using as CI as witness, usually numerous previous interactions required, then reviewed by ASA then to a judge for review. If all good, warrant is signed and executed. If it’s a negative, then it is a negative. Stop listening to the lying media and the lying mayor to throw your brothers under the bus. The mayor knows exactly how a warrant is approved but fails to say anything regarding the attorney or judge approving it. Fuck her as it’s just another negative media blitz against the CPD. This might show that the FOP is getting under her skin alittle too much or maybe contract talks are not going her way !!

why even have rules and regulations or orders. when the mayor gets caught lying she then goes to the public trial to hang the officers. if the rules don't work for the officers neither should the strike clause for the city pending a 4 year no-contract.

———————————-

Don’t be sorry, you’re an idiot, it’s okay. You seem to talk like you know a lot about this particular search warrant. Let me start with, I’m very close to the situation, I’m not one of the officers though. “ I understand that some time the wrong door gets hit. It wasn’t necessarily bad information or no probable cause- sounds like they may have just hit the wrong door. Shouldn’t happen, but occasionally does.” How could you possibly make this assumption based off the available information? That it wasn’t the CI who burned them, it was just the officers not knowing which door they were supposed to hit via the warrant? I’ll confirm, you are incorrect, they hit the correct door in accordance with the search warrant, they just got burned by a CI. Don’t make assumptions on situations you know nothing about, you just sound like a dickhead.
Next point. How was she purposely dehumanized and disrespected? They had her covered up within a minute. Handcuffed? Of course she was, it’s a search warrant. Just because when your hit a door there’s a fat naked woman doesn’t mean it’s not the right place. I’ve been on search warrants where there’s naked women doing god knows what when you hit the door, and guess what, it was positive. So you go through the process until you gain enough information to realize you’re wrong, which they did. The search never took place because they realized early on they were wrong. So your whole comment of “bad doors” in the sense your using it, is incorrect.
Now, does this woman deserve to be paid in a lawsuit? Sure, it was clearly bad information (even though you insist it’s not through your wild assumptions). Reading your comment, you sound like a 2 year be the change wonder based on some of the things you say. Talking about “it wasn’t.....no probable cause”. What are you talking about, it’s an approved search warrant signed by a judge. If they didn’t have that, it wasn’t a search warrant, it’s a home invasion.
They clearly got burned with bad information. Should they be stripped for getting burned with bad info? If so, you better go strip a WHOLE LOT of officers because there’s been lots of negative search warrants out there. You shouldn’t be stripped every time you have a negative search warrant. We don’t have to be right, we have to be reasonable. They acted with the information at hand, which a judge agreed with the officers was enough for the warrant. You sound like a be the change hire, so get a little time on the job kid and then you can have an opinion. You whole comment reeks of “just got off status”.

First , you weren’t there so your Opinion of
The facts were determined by the media reports
second I don’t ever remember checking to see
if anyone in the house is naked or not before we
hit the door. From what I see after they hit the door
and secured her she was given a blanket and covered
her up . If your a copper you should know that safety
always comes first and that’s how they conducted the
search warrant .But you no what? I wasn’t there either !!!
I would only question the why . Why are officers still doing
this kinda work when the smallest issue can lead to the worst
outcome . In this day and age they don’t want you to be the
police so stop wait til this passes and then go out and save the
world if your still here . If it takes longer then make your money
stay safe do your time and retire when you can that’s it.
I know there will be a bunch of stupid replies I’m not gonna
get into a war over the blog but QBing other coppers doesn’t help
Calling for them to be stripped is not your place especially if you were
Not there . If your of that opinion it’s ok but keep it to yourself .These
policemen were doing there job it’s unfortunate that this happens but it
not the first time and it won’t be the last unless SW are completely done
away with which furthers my point that doing police work is no longer what
they want so don’t do it

Are you even a cop? What grounds should these officers be stripped for? They didn’t toss the place, they didn’t talk shit to her, there was no abuse or anything wrong done other then hitting the wrong house (but right address) based on information given by a bad informant. That shit happens. The team was full of male officers that were probably just as shocked and didn’t want to touch or go near a naked woman for the very reason of not wanting to be seen as disrespectful or unprofessional. That female patrol officer on scene was the fucked up one for not immediately and professionally offering herself to help the lady change into clothing as soon as the scene was clear. Instead she had a fucking attitude about it and made shit look even worse on camera. Don’t volunteer to assist on a search warrant if you are not actually goi g to assist!!!

Larri flipped her wig and Flessner quit. She claims Flessner wasn’t the culprit of the setup coverup, which could be so or not, but Lyin’Larri still can’t be trusted. She’s hopping around on a tirade like Yosemite Sam demanding the saboteurs come forward. Flessner’s resignation was, I suppose, to take the heat off Larri and hide her lies. It’s all a distraction.
As most folks know, every lawsuit regarding the CPD not only rolls through the Supt Office but through the chain at the City Law Dept and of course the mayor, perhaps even the Council chair committee and Finance that would review proposed settlements.
Larri is having a difficult time trying to quickly nail someone in that chain. Law Dept flush coming?
Larri LightFührer is as guilty as anyone attached to this coverup.

I came upon some City FOIA requests from news outlets dating back to Nov2019 regarding Flessner and McCaffrey (former city comm director). There might be more hiding or as they say...”patterns and practices” this recent coverup. Could more lies and denial going back to the Slumping SpecialEd caper that involves KmmFxxxUp and the Juicy case? Larri is over her head in her own corrupt bullshit with her vindictive chip-on-the-shoulder, narrow minded attitude coming back around and smacking her right in the frogpuss.
Does Flessner and/or McCaffrey have enough to whistleblow or would a steno clerk at the Law Dept do?
We’ll see...soon.
Larri is scheduled for a press event today - damage control. Funny ain’t it...all of a sudden Larri is out of hiding, accessible for invited media but probably won’t answer questions. This is quite an event and nothing to do with continued violent crime.
-
I noticed the FakeNews media is calling Flessner’s resignation due to “a botched police raid”. How’s that for finger pointing. Needless to say unless someone forgot, his abrupt departure was about Larri & City Hall covering up the incident - NOT the CPD.
-
“The mayor had previously worked with Flessner at the U.S. attorney’s office for Northern Illinois.”
– Worked?
The “mayor” occupied space in a division that Flessner among others had done the bulk of the work. Larri’s brief occupation at USAO was sporadic at that, tolerated with tardiness, absenteeism and disorganization. Stiffing the coffee fund was expected from the start.

Getting Flessner is peanuts! The C.C. is merely the mayor 's private attorney, he or she also fills the spot of head of the Law Department, but seriously, C.C.s come and go. They come from the outside and have no idea of how Byzantine the politics within Law are. It's the deputy and chief acc's for each division who are the subject matter experts and they, not the C.C. , make the decisions and policy.

This is from Federal Civil Rights Litigation, the same division that was regularly getting blasted by federal judges for screwing up. Remember how they tried to put the jacket on CPD and a paralegal a few years ago? Nothing has changed except the names.

Coppers do as told, they execute missions. This SW stunk and yeah, there is blame there for CPD. But that cover up? That came from FRCL with its multiple deputies, chiefs, and other more highly paid attorneys. Flessner is a scalp for the public, but if the aim is to clean up this stuff, the cleansing needs to go through FRCL management. Maybe the city should wise up and go back to outside counsel for this stuff as it is getting obvious inside lawyers can't handle it. The system just isn't set up for it.

Watch, instead of the deputies, chiefs, etc., it will be any ACC and law clerk or paralegal who were nearby who will get the boot, assuming anyone does. My money is on nothing changes in Law and especially FRCL. If a mayor REALLY wanted a clean Law Department, the deputies would ALL be subject to review at the start of a new administration and f'ups would be replaced. Otberwise, the names on the letterhead might change, but the bad actors stay and build up years towards the pension.
